Ok, there is a few different rules this time so read carefully. I incorporated the es’ dame of skate rules into this one because, I think the es’ games are well done.

1. All tricks must be done rolling.

2. Once the board leaves it wheels, it must land on all four wheels. No rail landings, manual landings, caspers, or 50-50s. No hands on board. No hands or feet on the ground, before or after trick.

3. When matching or setting, the trick must be done fairly clean. No toe-drag, the skater must be moving, with both feet solid on the board. You cannot stop and then tic tac away, you must land and roll away.

4. When you are selected to set, you have 2 days to set a trick, if you fail to set the trick you will be given a letter.

5. Players are given 4 days to match the trick, this can be made shorter when there are fewer players in the game, failing to match the trick also results in a letter.

6. No trick can be set more than once.

7. The game is run by the “Pacific Time (US & Canada)” time zone, so all tricks much be matched and set by the time stated in Pacific Time.

8. When you match or set a trick, post it up in the thread called “Game of skate 3 tricks thread” this makes the tricks easier to locate instead of sorting through millions of pages of discussion. The “Tricks thread” which can be located by clicking the “Game of Skate 3” title in my sig.

9. When you match or set a trick, after you have landed the trick you must make the sign that is shown below, in front of the camera, any tricks without the sign will not be included.

The point is to get other people letters with the harder trick. I made the mistake of doing an easier trick in the GOS 2. I couldve done a nollie inward heel which was bound to get a lot of kids letters but did a varial heel.

I had no idea what to do first but also the whole idea behind the game of Skate is to learn new tricks you dont normaly do its all for fun its not about winning or loseing

You pull the harder tricks out first in these kinds of game of skate, you have unlimited trys so why not go all out each chance you get, heck you might only have the chance to set a trick once, so you should make it count.

hey thanks amskater, i had like broken my ankle and i can not land any trick that has to do with a kickflip, but i can do nollie flips and switch and thats stuff, im try to recover to make harder tricks, and thanks dude, i will go out on saturday and practice and film the switch 360 flip.

To match the trick you have to do the body varial FS, because if you do it BS then it's not a sex change, it's only called a sex change when the body varial is frontside.

A sex change means a kickflip with a body varial, just like, disco flip, twisted flip, Kastalarial. You don't say, heelflip disco flip or varial kickflip twisted flip or pop-shovit kastalarial, the word just means the trick, like sex change, means kickflip+body varial.

No sorry, the rules are you have to have the sign. I did the exact same thing when doing the switch sex change, I landed one and forget the hand sign, I didn't mind too much though because you could barely see it cause I had the camera set up in the wrong spot.

Watch the first one when it's in slo-mo, it wraps around his foot heaps.

When I do it, there is no power coming from my back foot to make the board rotate 180, the only force which makes it rotate is my front foot, and if you look closely the board flips about 1/4 way over my foot then my front foot pushes ot around 180.

You have to watch the first one at the end where the slow-motion bit is and you will see that the board flips about 1/4 way over my foot and is rotated 180 with my front foot.

Just don't edit the clip, upload it as it is. In Adobe Premiere you just select the razor in the toolbard and then just clip on th clip where you want to split it. Don't know if it's the same in Vegas though...

Vegas is way diffrent, and I have to edit the clip because its like 3 minutes, I have to trim it, thats what I meant by edit... and in Vegas there is no visible trimming funciton, theres a trimmer board but it doesnt have any sign of being able to trim it.

Hmm maybe you should download a program to convert the file into a different format and see if it will work in Movie Maker then. Sorry I can't help you out with Vegas.

Yeah I usually end up converting it to .asf in WinDVD Creater, but it has to play through the whole clip to convert it like that, and I already have to play the whole thing to get it on my computer, so I have to do the same thing twice, just to edit it in the crappiest editing program in existance, its stupid. I need to figure Vegas out, anyways I edited it with another program, its horrible, I hope it atleast works.

Yeah well thats true, but did he say roll away forward?.. I guess roll away is infered as rolling forward, or the direction the trick was in, but technicaly it can be rolling away anyway... and he did roll backwards.

The set was a shove-it, it was explained in the thread that you shouldn't do a pop-shoveit because they are different.
You first did a pop-shoveit which wasn't a match, and I knew you could do just a shove-it so I gave you an extra day to get it done properly, in other games of skate on the interent that won't happen, if you don't match the trick properly in the time set, you get a letter.
Then you did the shuvit, but you didn't even roll away and it even says in the rules you have to roll away, once in a different game of online skate I did a kickflip and came to a stop when I landed it and I got a letter because I didn't roll away and another time, someone did a tre flip on a bank like you did the shuvit and they got a letter because it is a flatground game of skate.

Unfair?...I thing long jetty has been more than fair as well as everyone else. I personally stayed out of this decision, because I didn't set the trick or host this GOS3. So I don't believe I was unfair about your match at all. Now, I was leaning towards your side of the issue, just because of the generalizaton of a "Shove-it", could be interpreted different ways...But after reading your rant about it, rather then brushing it off and waiting for GOS4 while wishing EVERYONE good luck rather then just brokenhope, it kinda makes me wonder why you would play a game like this, knowing the rules are going to be firm, bendable, and vague all at the same time...I look forward to playing SKATE with you again and I just hope you bring that intensity then, rather then spill it out on the rest of us now...

^I dont think you can do freestyle tricks as that would violate the rule that every trick has to be done moving and that you cant land in to rail and stuff like that.

Yeah no old school or freestyle sorry, we basically play the same rules as es' games of skate, we start a new game pretty much straight after this one is finished.

I can do switch varial flips, so i'll try get mine today or tommorrow.

^^ Yeah you can pivot out on two wheels as long as it pretty much follows these rules:



1. All tricks must be done rolling.

2. Once the board leaves it wheels, it must land on all four wheels. No rail landings, manual landings, caspers, or 50-50s. No hands on board. No hands or feet on the ground, before or after trick.

3. When matching or setting, the trick must be done fairly clean. No toe-drag, the skater must be moving, with both feet solid on the board. You cannot stop and then tic tac away, you must land and roll away.

Yep, so if your regular and skating switch, say you were standing behind the board, your back foot should be set up in the right hand corner of the tail. But if you were standing in front of the board, it would be set up the left hand corner. Get what i'm saying? Basically, just make sure the board does a hardflip rotation.
