These are a really fun trick that you can do to impress your friends and feel cool. Here's how:

Ok, first, leanr no comply backside shuvs with no pop. Experiment around and work on stuff like that for awhile, then you will be ready to try them.

1.) put your front foot with your heel hanging off the board

2.)pop the down while taking your front foot off. it should be oen swift motion, done at the exact same time as the pop. The most important thing is the pop. You have to seriosuly pop HARD. Hint: Wear kneepads.

3.)Let the board hit your knee, and drag like its an ollie, only with your knee. This is the part that really kills. To start off, just hit it down. Then gradually get more height by dragging and cradling the board with your knee first.

An easy way to get better at these is to do no comply grabs, where you do 1-2 and instead of dragging your knee, you catch the nose with your hand and do a bomb drop style thing. Do these first.

It also helps to use parking blocks to help you get more pop by popping the trucks into the parking block, causing it to rise higher. Try these after the grabs, then graduate to the stragiht up ones.

Have fun with it!

Hmm, I always thought I was doing it wrong if it hit my knee. I've been trying them for a month and haven't gotten them. I guess I was doing it right all along. Guess I'll try again tomorrow.

This may seem like a stupid question, especially since it's all relative, but what did you (anyone) find harder to learn: Ollie or No Comply?

heres another little tip to banish those smashed knee blues-when popping let your front foot slide off the nose(don't step off)as the board pops up bring your rear foot up and kick/scoop the middle of your deck with the inside of your foot-at the same time jump forward off front foot.the kick in the middle will lift the board up and forward quite a long way,so you need to jump quite high.as you come in to land your back foot will naturally drop to the back of the board, plant your front foot back on board and ride away:icon_bigg
the secret to landing this is in the jump after you've popped-you gotta jump and commit-don't go at it half arsed.
doing it this way you can clear really high stuff-i've cleared a park bench and i'm an old duffer :icon_wink :icon_lol:

No comply's are and always will be the ultimate dork session trick. They are a trick that can be done in the smallest of areas and speed isn't required. lots of fun

I just cant seem to bring the back foot up when i pop them

find a curb, start by doing them up that will help you get a good pop. eventually you will be able to do them down, One of my favorite tricks was a No Comply to tailslide off a sidewalk
