By popular demand of last month's polls, Fremry's been chosen as this month's Member of the Month! Being one of SkatersCafe's oldest visiting member, based on the time he joined not his age, Fremry's become quite popular! A familiar face he possesses around the cafe, known as the sole member who can pose a reasonable argument towards the dominant Christian community on the forums. No word of a lie, this last one's true as well! I bet you're excited to know why a crazy person like this is here? Well the answer to your prayers is here. The long army of Fremry fans will finally have some of their questions answered! So without further time wasted without a reason, let's insert a reason and see what drives our local "Resident Punk":
Hey Peter, I hope you're ready for some intense interrogation here :p
#1. Something that a lot of people have wondered about. How did you find Skaterscafe? Was it just by coincidence or were you actually planning on settling into an online skateboarding community?
Well, I worked a software testing job the summer I signed up for Skaterscafe, and we had access to the internet. The problem was that it was for a giant corporation. As such, there were many many many firewalls and encryption technology, both to keep their product code from being stolen and to prevent any sort of websites that could be construed as questionable from turning into lawsuits (pornography, vulgar language, racist, etc.) because, as anyone who has worked in the white collar world knows that one small misunderstanding can turn into a harassment lawsuit. Well, the forum I frequented at the time was cut off for vulgar language and vulgar humor. I just searched for a skating website, and this was the first one that came up. I originally only planned on this being a temporary stay, but the people stole my heart, and here I am.

There was a delay in taking this. It was just an ollie to fakie on the sculpture.
#2. You've obviously been here quite some time, has SkatersCafe supported you in that amount of time so far? If so, can you please share some of these experiences with us?
<script><!-- D(["mb","
I’ll tell you, the people on here are awesome, and themselves have been supportive of me. Ray has been really supportive since he never censored my differing views nor turned his back on us non-christians when the whole religion thing blew up in September 2004. That and helping me out with a free bible and giving me a discount on a board that was for my girl-friend of the time. Other than that, it seems weird, but the people who argue with me (DJ, OP, Sumner, etc.) have always been supportive. We get into debates that go on for a long time, then when it gets too hot, we back off talk to each other in private with words of support.
#3. Being 21 at the moment, I bet you have a course of life you\'d love to follow. So I\'m curious, where do you see yourself in 6 years?
6 years. Oh man, I hate to think 6 minutes in the future. I try not to think ahead too far, life and time are fleeting, and at any moment it can turn like a flag in the wind and force to go somewhere else. The only idea I have, is that I plan on going to Law School, and if all goes according to plan, I should be out and a practicing lawyer in 6 years. But as I said, that’s just an idea, we’ll see where life takes me.
#4. Even though you\'ve passed your childhood and teen years, I\'m curious. Do you have any heroes in life that you look up to?
Yeah, the mothers and fathers who create warm loving and accepting homes for their children, doctors, scientists, basically all the people who are selflessly changing this world for the better, but never get the recognition. It’s easy to change this world for your own benefit, but when you give your life for others, you are a true hero.
#5. Okay, this next one will be a 2 part question, I hope you\'re ready! What experiences in your life have given you your current perspective on life?
Well, without going too deep into it, I had a year of my life where everything fell apart. Literally, every time I picked myself up from something terrible that happened, something new happened that threw me back down. Basically, if you can think of something bad happening with the exception of a life threatening disease or injury, it happened to me that year. It was very stressful, very unfortunate, and stripped me of my innocence abruptly. But what it ended up doing is allowing me to know that even when life hits rock bottom, I still have enough strength and will power to pick myself up.

#6. To tie in with the previous question, we\'ve seen you argue against certain Christian topics of interest in the past. Let\'s say you had the choice of picking an afterlife, what would it be like? If any afterlife that is.
If I had a choice, I would totally choose the Christian heaven. How can you argue that an afterlife that is described as “so perfect and good, it is impossible to comprehend it” is anything but the afterlife you want?
#7. Let\'s do a little skate talk for a bit before we jump back into your personal life Peter. Being a fellow skater, I have to ask you this. What on this green and blue Earth is your favourite trick? I must squeeze this in here also, do you have a certain style to yourself when you skate?
My favorite trick is the nose-bluntslide. When I learned those, I felt like I could retire from skating feeling completely fulfilled. I think they look perfect, and it was my white whale for several years. My style is big. You watch me do flip tricks, you’ll see me land them, but they look like crap. Same thing with grinds, I can do them easily, but they look crappy. Slides, Gaps and Grabs are what I’m all about. My best tricks style-wise are big gaps, lip-slide pop-outs, and high melon grabs off kickers/flatbanks.
#8. A question about your setup, what\'s your ride like? To tie in with that, what companies do you support over others?
Well, I’ve skated many many companies over the years, and I’ve found that my perfect decks are Pop-wars, my perfect trucks are Tensor Highs, and my perfect wheels are Rictas. Right now the set up is Deck-Popwar Amy Caron, Tensor 7.75” highs, Ricta 55mm slims, China Bones, Shorty’s hardware and Jessup tape. I have no brand loyalty for bearings, tape or hardware.
#9. So I understand you\'re a traveling man Peter. How was the trip to Rome?
It was awesome. I got to go with my best friend to see our best friend who is living there and met up with our other best friend who came in the middle of the week. The four of us had an awesome time, because not only were we in an awesome city, but we were all together in an awesome city. You guys have seen enough pictures of me, so the one I’m putting up is a picture of the three best girls in the world sitting in front of the Trevi fountain.

#10. Being in Rome, I bet you saw a ton of great European shredding material! Was there a place in Rome that you\'d consider your ideal spot?
Rome is a very old city, so a lot of the streets are cobblestone, and the streets are always crowded with people and cars. In all, most of the places were impossible to skate, except there was this one triple set that was made of marble that would have been awesome to skate.
#11. You\'ve not only traveled to Rome, but to other exotic locations as well. Do you always shred the exotic locations you visit? Did the Vatican see any Peter flip-in-flip-out combos?
I don’t bring my board when I travel for a couple reasons. I’m always with family or friends who don’t skate, I don’t know what is considered sacred, respected or governmental ground, with my luck, I would get arrested and cause an international incident, and I try to soak up all the culture and sites that I can, so I never have time to stop and skate. Plus, I already have enough metal in my body that I try to avoid bringing anymore through the airport.
#12. Clearly you\'ve done a lot of traveling in the recent years and you\'ve probably gained more appreciation for the vast amounts of cultures you\'ve encountered. If you\'d have to pick one and only one that has left the greatest impression on you, which one and why?
Oooooo, good question. I bet you wouldn’t expect this, but it’s America. When I go to other countries, it’s refreshing to see a new culture, but it’s only a snipit. I haven’t stayed in another culture long enough to sit don’t and truly analyze the subtlties of the societies. Living in America, however, has allowed me to analyze the culture and how people act from an objective view, long enough that some of my basic life philosophies could form. You can only understand a culture when you have enough time to see the things that aren’t there.
#13. I know you\'ve got quite a few piercings, now the question is. What\'s next Peter? Where\'s the next newest piece of metal gonna be found on you? Any plans?

Ha ha ha. I was kinda hoping this wouldn’t come up. Let’s just say, this is a family website, so I’ll plead the fifth.
#14. Let\'s say figuratively you had 2 months to do whatever you\'d want where ever you\'d want. Where and what would your agenda consist of? A quicky addition here, anything currently going on in your life?
With two months, I’d go on a world tour. By world tour, I mean I’d start in Mexico, make select stops in South America, fly to South Africa, make my way up the continent to Europe, hit most countries there, go through the Middle East, into Indian, up to China then to Japan, then through South-east Asia to Australia. Try to soak up everything. Failing that, I’d grab an isand in Greece during the summer and chill out for 2 months on the Mediterranean. And there really isn’t much going on in my life at this moment, just going to class and getting stuff done.
#15. Looking towards your future skate sessions, is there a bone in your body that you\'d just love to reinforce? Better start drinking milk Peter ^_^
Hmmm… the only one I’d reinforce would be the femurs. Apparently, breaking them hurts so much that they allow EMT’s to give morphine to victims without a Doctor’s approval or prescription. That never ever happens, and it scares me that they make an exception because it hurts so much.
#16. I know this story has circulated quite some bit around here, but I\'m sure all the newer members are dying to know. How\'d you come up with your name?
Hahahha, yeah. I was playing Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 which is the first one that you can make a custom character in. I was excited as all hell, so I spent a while making a character that looked like me down to every detail I could change. I spent so much time making the character, I hadn’t even thought about the name. When I finished him and hit “next” (or whatever it was) I saw I had to name him, and instantaneously the first thing to pop in my head was “Fremry”.

#17. A lot of people are dying to know. Who\'s the person in your avatar? Is that you?
Nah, although it has a striking resemblance to me. I am a member on another forum as I said earlier, and someone started a “I will make you avatar’s” thread. I asked this guy with username “Mathemagician” to make me one. He asked what I wanted, and all I could come up with was “Something unique enough that when people see it, they will know it’s me.” Guy never met me or saw me ever, and about 10 minutes later he came back with that.
#18. A good buddy of mine from England\'s been dying to know. Would you drop by Marko\'s place for some tea and biscuits?
You kidding me? I’d love to drop by Marko’s place for tea and biscuits.
#19. This just has to be asked. We all know you\'re a party pimp Peter, but the real question is: Of all the skater babes you\'ve had, how many would you date again?
All of them. I may have a reputation, but for every girl I dated there’s at least 2 that I kissed and turned down. I find a girl’s personality to be so much more attractive than her physical looks. Even then, the girls people don’t find attractive are just as beautiful as supermodels. I seriously think every girl is beautiful in their own way, and I have even told complete strangers this. It kills me to walk around and see girls think poorly of themselves. For every guy that tells a girl she is pretty, there are 40 who thought the same thing but never had the cajones to say it. But back to the real question, the girls I date are ones whose personal essence and personality make my sun shine a little bit brighter every day.
#20. Well, we\'ve reached the end of the line Peter. Is the glass half empty or half full?
The glass is half full, but even when there’s only a drop left, you still have something.
It\'s been great to talk to you Peter. I\'m sure your army of fans will enjoy this interview. Take care man and best of luck with everything in your life at the moment! I\'ll give our local "Resident Punk" the last word, and shout outs and final comments?

Girls in Rome!

Oh man, everyone, seriously (except the spammers I ban). Ray, all the staffmembers- I feel a kinship with you guys, Oregon Preacher for indulging my argumentative side, Dan Scott because I’m gonna do my best to get to the punk shows, JHH, senior members, and everyone who loves this place as much as I do.
