Ok Game of skate 5, Rules:

Same as last time basically, except there is a new hand sign of course.

Ok, there is a few different rules this time so read carefully. I incorporated the es’ dame of skate rules into this one because, I think the es’ games are well done.

1. All tricks must be done rolling.

2. Once the board leaves it wheels, it must land on all four wheels. No rail landings, manual landings, caspers, or 50-50s. No hands on board. No hands or feet on the ground, before or after trick.

3. When matching or setting, the trick must be done fairly clean. No toe-drag, the skater must be moving, with both feet solid on the board. You cannot stop and then tic tac away, you must land and roll away.

4. When you are selected to set, you have 2 days to set a trick, if you fail to set the trick you will be given a letter.

5. Players are given 4 days to match the trick, this can be made shorter when there are fewer players in the game, failing to match the trick also results in a letter.

6. No trick can be set more than once.

7. The game is run by the “Pacific Time (US & Canada)” time zone, so all tricks much be matched and set by the time stated in Pacific Time.

8. When you match or set a trick, post it up in the thread called “Game of skate 5 tricks thread” this makes the tricks easier to locate instead of sorting through millions of pages of discussion. The “Tricks thread” which can be located by clicking the “Game of Skate 5” title in my sig.

9. When you match or set a trick, after you have landed the trick you must make the sign that is shown below, in front of the camera, any tricks without the sign will not be included.

No! It's got to be that one to prove it was for THIS contest! Don't worry, if we are ALL doing that "stupid" sign, then you'll fit right in and we'll all look stupid...lol
But seriously, it really does help make sure that we all are doing recent tricks for the contest and not tricks that were done before and used for this! Expecially the ones of us that have been in GOS contest before, it wouldnt be right for me to use a clip from a previous game for this one and treat it as a new clip, ya know...

Just try your best to get the hand sign as close as you can to the one shown...Perfection of the hand sign isnt THAT important, but a sideways thumbs up is decent enough...

That looks good man! As long as your foot doesn't touch with the landing, you're pretty much ok...Nice match! By the way, as summer approaches, you'll probably see me rockin' the gym shorts as well, LMAO!

Its like a 360 pop shove it, only with a flip.. so you might want to get comfy with 360 shove's at first, then add the flip by flicking out with your front foot.

^^ Ohhhh lol, my bad.

Pressure flips...its alot easier switch cause you use the foot that you would normally flip with. You just place that foot your back foot (when your riding switch) like right over where the wheel is then just push really hard and jump and twist so you get the body varial off then land it. It alos helps to watch the ones that were posted up, I watched Long Jetty's set a couple of times to see how exactly he did it.

so far everything thats been set i havent tried yet... i can land kickflips both feet but not doubles, i can land a varial kickflip both feet but not a 360 flip, and i dont skate much freestyle so im prettymuch screwed on the pressure flip, especially since its in switch

just put my match up. trick wasnt to hard took me about 20 tries but it was the first time ever doing so...

I just posted up my match. Sorry that it is pretty sketchy and that the camera quality is horrible. I just learned them today and I was skating in puddles. We have had rain for the past two days and I really didn't want to take another letter on an easy trick, I probably could have gotten that trey flip. As I was filming this my better camera broke on me so I had to switch to this crappy camera.

Oh Crap. I was in the shop today and my camera fell out of a hole in my bag. I was lucky enough to be given it back by the shopkeeper who saw me drop it. I got home and set it up to film something and it wouldn't turn onto filming mode, it would only go to preveiw the other stuff i'd filmed and the film button wouldn't work when I pressed it. Then I looked closer and found a large dent in my camera which must of came from when I dropped it. I JUST BROKE MY CAMERA, damn it I don't know what to do... :(

My moms camera broke, it fell and the battery clip broke off. She sent it back to the company where it was made and it got fixed. She had to pay though.

Not to fix it, probly 400 dollars (not including the 125) to fix it which is more than the camrea cost. So they gave us a few ideas on what could be wrong with it and how we could fix it ourselves. We took it home and unscrewed the camera and took the case off it, turned out the dent in the case was pushing the camera button down so it wouldn't work, so we just took the case off by ourselves and hammered the dent flat and put the case back on, good as new! WOOHOO!

I'm really sorry guys. I was getting my FS Flips on my new board today really well, better than normal. I was gonna have my friend film it to me and send it when I got home. I went outside of my school to grab my board, only to find out it was taken. My friend is gonna hook me up with some new trucks, wheels, and bearings, so all I need to do is get a new deck. I got a job today and get paid tommarrow so hopefully I can get a new board soon enough that I do not have to drop out. I know you probably can't do this, but if I could get my set date rescheduled for later in the game that would be cool. If not, looks like I got another letter.

yeah, a sharper angle helps me a lot. at first I just kicked my board out, away from me, but after a while i found that its really nothing more than a nollie pop shove, with a gentle flick

damn me too. i hate these little parody tricks. there so useless and awkward. these tricks arent even fun its just pop and kick harder and hope it flips alot. where are some liek switch varial heels or something that takes some skill.

I've basically lost the strenght to flip my board over two times, I don't know why it's really weird I can't even do double kickflips. Ahh well we'll see what happens.

Far out, I used to do these before I even learnt double flip and now I can't do them at all. I'd have to say, for me, this is the hardest trick that has been set yet. I can only flip in one and a half and land on the board upside down, I just can't flip it that extra half. Very nice set Skaterboy_J this is quite hard!

I suppose a few tips would be to keep your front foot hanging right off the edge and have it really far back on your board, you need to flick it very fast to get two rotations along with the varial

I've done these before. I was trying them yesterday and just caught a varial flip really early and then shot out so i was like screw it I'll do it tommorow. But yeah nice set.

Omg, LJ, I finally have this trick down but its too dark to film im ****ed off. Can I please have like a 12 hour extension so I can ge tif filmed when its bright tomorrow. I took a vide of it and uploaded it but it was all just black! I learnt this **** to, it was so hard but I started getting them there now.

Yeah, me too! I tried about for about 6 hours total over 2 days, and i've landed a few but with the board shooting out and me on my back! That has to be the most frustrating trick...Props for setting that! Now my shins are bruised (as well as my ego) and walking with a bum ankle...my chest hurts now from squatting down so much as well, lol!

I have given up on double flip tricks, I get so frustrated and my shins get bruised non stop.

Ahhhh crap....i was trying em for like an hour but just didnt have the energy for two flips, so I guess I'm taking a letter on this. This really sucks cause im going to ireland for 2 weeks starting july 7 till the 23. And I think that I'll be getting like 3 letters maybe...and i dont want to be out because I wasn't able to match/set a trick due to the fact that I wasn't here. But hey, maybe there will be a computer somewhere near where I'm staying and maybe I will be able to post up my match or set.

Shove-it Lateflip...Since my left thigh (you see me hold it in the video at the end) is totally "jacked" up from trying to match skaterboy_J set, I had to go with something tough, but comfortable to me, sorry! There's was no was I was going to be able to set the one trick I wanted to because of my thigh! But I am looking forward to seeing someone match it :)!

Yeah I find getting them fully rotated 180 degrees kinda difficult. In tricktips ive seen they say catch it at 90 degrees and rotate the other 90 with your feet, but that wont really work for me.. I always try to get them PJ ladd style.

Yeah, I normally don't edit my sig till a few hours after the deadline anyway, cause i'm not online exactly when the deadlines up. So you can just have a few hours extra time, and if I change my sig and it's like an hour or two late it should be ok.

It's a nollie casper flip, I don't have enough time to do anything, i've got to pack then im leaving at like 3am. Well here's basically what i'm saying. From today you have 2 days to match the hardflip and from today you have a week to match the Nollie casper flip.

Sorry I haven't posted in forever. I've been in Ireland for the past two weeks and have only been able to acess a computer from an internet cafe, so I couldn't post up any matches or sets. I wasn't able to match the nollie casper or hardflip so I get those letters. But is there anyway my dead line for setting a trick can be extended till Sunday. I will film the trick here, but then as soon as I get home on Saturday, which will be at 9, I will post it up. I'm asking for Sunday to be the deadline because I don't know if the flight will be delayed or not. If not, it's been a good game and I want to get in the next game of skate where I'll be home and able to match stuff. Thanks.
