Ok ive got my match filmed, i got confused though whether it was nosestop or tailstop so i did both. I just got home and relised it was nosestop so ignore the tailstop. Its just processing on youtube now so ill stick it in the trick thread when it is ready.

rules...This is an idea i've been kicking around for awhile. I get eaten alive by Tony W and Daniel Jones is the last freestyle game, so how bout one for beginners? Ten players, these are the rules:



1. All tricks may be done rolling or stationary.

2. No ollie flip tricks are allowed. If oyu can work an ollei into your combo, cool.

3. Feet may touch over the course of a trick, but you have to land clean, and I'll be very lenient about tic-tacing out.

4. You'll have five days to set, and five days to match.

5 All times will go by General Mean Time. This saves me a headache.

6. After your tricks, flash the peace sign towards the camera.

7. Any trick other than an ollie flip is allowed.

8. No incredibly good freestlyers signing up and eating us. Please.

9. HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What he means is that Dead Sparrow went straight to casper, instead of going down to tape and then going to casper. You were fine though, because you went down to tape and then went to a one handed 50-50.

^What you should do is get rid of the 'Players' and the Title lines, and not name the trick that's been set. Then you should be fine :D

Wow, this is my first flip trick i've landed out of a railstand, I'm quite pleased. Anyway, it's probably not much, i'll have a go at guessing the name: "Toeside Railstand, Heelflip out." Put your toe right on the edge of the board so like your toes are on the wheel, that will give it extra power.

My sets up, its not too hard. Its a one foot tailstop fingerflip type thing. Make sure its your back foot thats on the board and not your front btw! Oh and ignore the first attempt, I thought it was sketchy so landed it again.

yes,... thats technically true, you can do that, but, imo it gives it an uglier and less controlled flip when your just learning it... personally i prefer thumb ontop, remember kids, its all in the wrist, NOT the arm

You realize that half the people in this game couldn't match a fingerflip from tailstop? How do you imagine that they'll be able to match this trick?

I must admit, it was very nice and clean. I can do this one, but...I doubt as cleanly. I just started getting rolling fingerflips, and I've been freestyling for a while.

The thing is, for some people, fingerflips come naturally. I personally think that the set is a bit hard for the skill level.

However, because I'm cool, I'll count it as a valid set unless three other people think it's too hard for the game skill level.

and in responce to necro, i just did it because i felt some people wanted a challenge, and i think that the tricks thus far could be learned in a matter of days.. i taught my friend how to tail stop fingerflip in a few minutes, its suppose to be easy, but lets not get to easy here

stationary , but the set was done moving... but for learning purposes, learn them still, then moving slowly, you might also wanna try fakie, that helped me

Far out that is very hard. I almost got them fakie but geez rolling forward is gunna be a challenge.

I'm suprised this set was allowed to be honest. Comparing it to the first set, this is incredibly difficult. Never tried them before but I'lltry them (I think, I have no idea of any deadlines or any such measures)

In the future guys, tone down the sets a bit for this game. I think there are only three or four guys in here who have ever skated freestyle before - kinda harsh.

Also, when I do the trick, I seem to be underflipping it a lot. Any tips on getting more flip without effecting the rotation of the deck?

eh , let the others decide, personally , since the set was done with a roll away i think it should be rolled away , i know how your landing in nose stop , just kinda lean back a bit more and dont let your weight fall forward

You know, I lied. I have a few matches that I think might be acceptable. If not that's cool though, but I'm not going to re-film. I bailed longboarding today and cut my left hand up, so no fingerflips for me for a while (read: till it heals).

I apologize in advance for the quality of the footage. I think I need a new video camera - apparently someone dropped ours. I'm going to tinker with it and see if I can fix it up a bit.

Anyway, the match for this trick and for Dead Sparrow's trick should be up sometime tomorrow. I'm entertaining people at a boring as hell dinner party so that's why I can't get it up today.

and dont sweat fakie 3s , they arent that bad, i suggest getting them down on a smoooooth surface. shuvits are loads easier on a smooth surface. something primoslide smooth ya know ?

My garage is pretty much smooth as butter. I can't Primo Slide on it though - the paint on it makes it stick.

Yeah I'm really dissappointed in that, but there's NO WAY I'm going out and re-filming that trick again. I ache all over and 3's hate me.
