Dog Town 02-17-2004, 01:04 AM General Rules
These rules cover all the forum unless otherwise stated. If any of these rules is in violation, the admin or moderators have every right to edit, delete, move and in some cases BAN a user. These rules aren’t here to constrict what you can or can’t talk about. They are here to enforce and encourage a growing community that may have been created by skaters, but is in no way limited to them. Skaterscafe.com is for skaters, roller bladers, their fans! These people may find skaters humor, language, etc. offensive. For this reason these rules have been created. When obeying these rules you not only help The Forum grow, but you also help others understand that the rules need to be followed in order to have a productive, organized, and civilized community. Here are the general rules.
When signing up for this forum you agreed to the following:
“By clicking the Agree button, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws. The owners of Skaterscafe.com have the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason.” Banning users for breaking these rules multiple times is common law here at Skaterscafe.com The owners of Skaterscafe.com have gone to considerable lengths to give the users freedom and push the line further than most boards would have it. Although the “line” is farther away, crossing it, will have harsher repercussions.
Obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws. Anything of a sexual nature and the likes in any thread, post, picture, or any other transferable media will not be tolerated. These offensives can and will be dealt with swiftly and can include any number of consequences including, but not limited to locked thread, edited post, deleted thread / post, and can even result in a user being banned from Skaterscafe.com
Warez
Discussion about warez of any sort is not allowed. Whether you are discussing how cool they are or how to get warez. Any discussion about obtaining software illegally is prohibited on all forums on Skaterscafe.com
Censorship
Skatescafe management has censored a few words, while giving members of Skatescafe.com plenty of freedoms in order to carry on most conversations, there are those that feel they must use certain words to show their intelligence. These words have been censored to keep Skatescafe.com professional and refrain users from thinking that it is OK to use these words. Any one seen trying to get passed the censorship in order to get their "bad" words to be shown will be warned by a moderator. If the user continues to "bypass" the "bad word filter" and the moderators feel there is no other option, the user will be banned for not cooperating
Spamming First lets take a look at the definition of spam:
To flood any chat forum or Internet game with purposefully annoying text or macros. Now that we have a definition of spam, lets talk about it here. If you spam any other board besides the spamming/test board, moderators will warn you that what you posted is considered spam. If you continue to spam other forum the moderators will warn you again and delete the spam. If spamming still continues mods have the right to temporary ban you or permanently ban you from Skaterscafe.com. We work hard to create a productive environment for people looking for help and chatting. When people spam it detracts from the main purpose of our site. Spam will not be tolerated, and if continued the offending user will be dealt with swiftly.
Crossing The Line
If you cross the line and a mod has to edit, move, or delete your post, look for a message from the mod concerning the reason. Read over the reason and if you don't fully understand what exactly you did wrong, you may private message the mod.
Insta Ban
Instant ban, meaning without warning. A user will be instantly banned if purposely offensive material is posted within ANY forum. If they are a multiple offender and Skaterscafe.com staff sees banning the user is the only other alternative. Skatescafe.com reserves the right to ban anybody from it's forum that it sees fit, without probable cause.
Ok guys and gals..since we have people that feel the need to place 8x10 photos in their sig we will start the following policy and it will be enforced.
Signatures must:
Image: 1 image up to 300 pixels wide, 125 pixels tall or 150x150 and 20k in size
Text & image: 4 lines (or 2 with Textsize 2) and one image (in a new line) up to 300 pixels wide, 75 pixels tall and 20k in size.
Text only: 8 lines small size or 4 lines size 2 and up to 90 chars per line
Any signatures larger than this will be deleted, period. Pick your favorite photo and keep it, but multiple & large images will be deleted, if you do it again there will be a 3 day ban.
Sorry to be a hard ass about this but we have people who have dial up and other who simply don't want to see wll the images.
Keep it simple, I'm working on a hack to automatically edit this function.
If you do not agree with these rules and regulations, you may leave Skaterscafe.com now. If you wish to abide by these rules, we hope you enjoy your stay and find what you are looking for.
***UPDATED SIGNATURE IMPORTANT INFORMATION***as of 07-06-2006, 02:13 PM

My4thUserName 02-12-2005, 07:51 PM "If any of these rules is in violation, the admin or moderators have every right to edit, delete, move and in some cases BAN a user."
do banned useres ever become unbanned?
sk8FLIPbabe429 02-12-2005, 07:54 PM i have a question.. whats the use of banning a person when they can just make a new name? not that i would do it but just think about it. someone can just make multiple names and post offensive things on each of them. just saying.....
Authority25 02-12-2005, 07:57 PM niiiiiiiice............check this link out http://www.trials-shack.co.uk/posting.html..........recommended for posting in forums!
Dog Town 02-12-2005, 11:32 PM "If any of these rules is in violation, the admin or moderators have every right to edit, delete, move and in some cases BAN a user."
do banned useres ever become unbanned?
Depends.
You for example were asked when you were Bomberman222 to follow the rules , we asked several times and finally banned you which was going to be a temp ban. But then you broke yet another rule and made a new screen name and did the same thing you were doing before you were banned. Since then you have made even more screen names still not following the rules, so in this case no, you will not be unbanned.
We have multiple ways to ban, including IP bans. We have several hacks installed and an email can't be used twice. So, yes someone could get around it, and some have, but they have to go thru alot of trouble to do it and they usually get found anyway as shown above.
If someone is despirate enough to keep getting new email & IP addresses to to rejoin fine, banning or blocking is very easy on this end.
Authority25 02-13-2005, 12:24 AM ^^^^or they could always just access another computer at like at internet cafe, libarys, school etc. and could make mulitple email with hotmail
Marko 02-13-2005, 06:04 AM Hopefully we dont have anyone sad enough as that about to take that road; it all leads to the same, erm, thing. Besides, they have their very own spamming thread, what more could a silly little spammer dream of? ;).
Old Skater Dude 02-13-2005, 06:46 AM How lame is it to get banned four times? The rules are simple.
««ÉlÉMÉNT››› 02-14-2005, 07:25 AM Im not that new but, when I was I don't think I did anything like that anyway.
jesushadherpes 03-23-2005, 09:26 AM if were not supposed to post offensive stuff then why make a forum that involves religion?
Customgriptape 03-23-2005, 11:26 AM That's why there are two religious forums, one Christian, and one everything else. As long as you don't go into the Christian forum and say offensive things about christians, the people in the Christian forums will, in turn, have the same respect and not say offensive things about pagans in the non-Christian forum.
chrisdunne123 04-04-2005, 07:38 PM I notice swear words dont get crossed out anymore.any particualr reason?(not complaining or anything just curious)
elementrider42 04-04-2005, 09:35 PM cool for me... agree with those... i'm here to enjoy and be with the skaters around the world. I'm from the philippines. same heeer

««ÉlÉMÉNT››› 07-13-2005, 09:39 PM i agree with the rules
That's all you need todo and you'll be fine here.
Daniel Jones 07-13-2005, 09:47 PM <<Element>>, whatever, you got banned, lol. Oh well.
I agree with the rules, but just about everyone here can get around an IP ban by just logging off and on again. Unless of course you have dial-up...
skakid 07-13-2005, 10:08 PM I agree with the rules its just that sometimes I dont think twice before posting and I can say stuff I dont mean.
Dysfunqtional 10-01-2005, 04:10 AM WEll i liek these forums alot, so i think i can comply with all of that.
eschisfresh 10-05-2005, 09:54 PM I like it.

You've got 52 posts..
Wait for a day or too.. If you still can't see the option then there's something wrong..
Chances are, it will show up.. I don't think there's ever been a problem where it hasn't..
Newbed 11-24-2006, 09:25 PM My sig is not working my sig pic...

You have to be a veteran cafe member. I'm not sure exactly how you get it, but if you make enough posts, stay here long enough, or get alot of rep you'll get it.

Post questions regarding the forum in the Forum Support section, please.
You are a new member - New members hardly have any permissions to do "special things" like have a signature, change rank title, post links, etc. Post around a bit - read through the other Stickied threads in this section to find a list of permissions and when you get them.

feedmegrease 06-06-2008, 01:20 AM Sweet but I have a question. How do you find the threads that you posted in or created i'm having a hard time getting around this
Look in the forum you posted the thread in, it should be there, and it will have your username under it. If you want to find a thread that you posted in (but didn't start), use the search function and type in the name of the thread you posted in. It will pop up somewhere.
Hope I answered your question :)

Or go into your profile and look at threads started by you or posts by you... But i think you might need more posts before you can get into your profile...
