Ok guys, here's the Discussion thread.

As a re-cap, here are the updated rules:

Rules

1) The set has to be reasonably clean. I know in Freestyle some of the crazier tricks can get slightly sketchy, but try to get it where you don't just fall off the board after landing :P The same goes for matches, although some leeway can be given.

2) This is a Freestyle Game of Skate. A lot of flip tricks can be considered freestyle, but for this game, no ollie or ollie-based tricks are allowed. We have the regular Game of Skate for that.

3) No repeating tricks already in the game. This does not apply to combos (ex: If a HS Rail has already been done, you can still use it in a combo).

4) Tricks can be done stationary or rolling, it's your choice. If someone does a rolling trick, the set (obviously?) has to be rolling.

5) Here's how the actual game dymanics work:

---When it's your turn to set, you have two days to set your trick. Exceptions can be granted depending on circumstances.

---I will tell you what time you have to post your set up when I tell you it's your turn to set. Don't just assume and go ahead with it.

---You have five days to match the trick after it has been set. I will announce when the particular time will be after each set.

---All times are going to be in Pacific Standard Time (-8 from GMT) because that's the time that I opperate on.

---When you match or set a trick, post it in the 'Freestyle Game of Skate Tricks' thread. All other discussion of the game (including me telling you who's setting/what the time limits are) will be held in the 'Freestyle Game of Skate Disscussion' thread.

---After you match a trick, just give the camera this sign. I don't care where your thumb is, but just do it. It's to make sure your trick was filmed for the Freestyle Game of skate game.

sk8er4eternity - Your match doesn't count man, when you do Rail to Caspers, your feet aren't supposed to touch the ground at all.

You just let the deck drop and put your feet under it.

hey, Sk8er4eternity, im not so sure about your match man, your front touched the floor, i think its up to the dude who set to say if it counts or not

I don't know if sk8er4eternity's trick should count, his foot clearly touched on the casper, I say he should do it agian without the touch

I'll get mine up tonight hopefully, I don't have a digital camera, I have to rely on my friend and he can't do anything until about 4:30 ish

So that's four that think that sk8er4eternity's match doesn't count. No foot touch on the casper.

eLJay - It's not entirely up to you - you need to have two other people on your side if you think it doesn't count, but if you think it counts, it counts.

As for dead sparrow's match - I agree, foot for sure touched the ground before he went into casper.

Ok, I got it. Film quality is a bit low, dunno why. I think someone dropped my camera. But it'll have to do - No Handed Pogos kill my legs, and I had to borrow a friend's shin guards (I need to get me some of those awesome types), and I'm not seeing him 'till Sunday. So no more NH pogos for me.

By the way, I officially hate pogo and 50-50 tricks.

haha, yea, i got racked today on these, oh and just a quick question, do we need to do the NH pogo or are you just doing that to keep balence ? can we do the set with out ? like do the full fingerflip then landed in a NH 5050, balance abit then go into the wrap around and such ?

Well I just like NH pogos, that's why I did them. Really it's up to you or whoever organised the game really.

He's asking if the tail can roll around the ground (kind of like a fan flip motion) instead of having it flip in the air.

Ah right. Well it's meant to be more of an "arial" (don't know a good word) type of flip, but it doesn't bother me either way, it's just a game

Fozzz - you said you didn't care if we caught it in a No Handed 50-50 right? I'm thinking about re-filming my match because of quality issues, but I'm missing the full leg shinguard goodness, and pogos eat into my legs. If not, I'll just submit my match as is.

well the no handed 50/50-ness is pretty relevent to the trick, but it's just a game really, do whatever feels comfortable

For the most part it's fine, but there was a wrap around into the "handed" 50/50 pogo and no wrap around out. Although I'm not really too bothered you did most of the trick right.

And I don't mind anyone having an extension personally, not sure if it's up to me really

Fozzz - generally it's up to me, but I can't just grant myself extensions, that could potentially cause issues. So I'm just checking with you - glad that you're cool with it.

ARGH! I know I coudl get this set, I KNOW it, but I also knwo that if I try it, I will break my tail/nose. What can I do? Buying a freestyle board is outta the question.

I'm not really sure how games of skate work on this forum, but neither of the matches posted are really the same as my set.

But yeah, it doesn't really matter

Here's how matches work.

If you say it counts, it counts
If you say it doesn't count, you need two other people to agree with you.

Also, a lot of people are quircky (I do my 50-50 stuff with my left foot on the truck and I'm regular - that's just an example). Because of that, there should be a little room for leeway.

I would personally allow Dead Sparrow's match(s) because if you stuck them together, you'd probably get the match. I'd imagine he could do it

yea man, putfile isnt letting me upload, and then i tryed that enngoeidiee (cant spell) website and it wouldnt let me there ether,been trying since friday morning, it maybe because my dads doing a download downstair and its taking all my banwith up here, i dont know if it will count now anyways, i dont mind about taking a letter but i'll keep trying to upload it, maybe if i stop his download qucik then do it....his downloading the trilogy of the lord of the rings and its like 4gb, i'll try stopping it.

^^ yea, the rail to rail has to flip towards the wheels, theres a type of technique to it thats hard to explain, when i do it its like im trying to pop the board up so it flips....hard to explain

I guess I could try, but it doesn't work too well on freestyle decks.

Cheers, and ideally it has to spin that way but I'm not really too bothered. I would have thought it would be easier to do it that way on a freestyle board? I know that the other way is pretty hard on a street deck though, so maybe it works both ways.

Someone set one of these (without the pivot) on the sk8uk forums game of skate. Needless to say, I took the letter. Everytime I landed the thing in rail I fell...

Nah - if you see, when I catch the pivot, I catch it in one foot, and start the pivot. The second foot only catches it while it's in mid-pivot.

yea sorry it was dark, it was the only time it was dry out side, it was a x footed impossible to nose stop, exsactly like the thing i did in the best trick

^Really? It seemed way to quick to be a full impossible to nose stop - what I'm seeing (in the limited light) is you start to bring it up (so the boards about vertical), and then you slam it back down into a nosestop. Is there anyway you can brighten the clip on WMM or something?

Also - in your best trick, it was more a 360 shove-it than an impossible.

Yeah, I got my set filmed, despite torrential rainfall (dry spell and I got it!) but I'm going to Texas and I have a major test to study for tomorrow.

If you don't mind, I'm going to put the game on hold until I come back, when I'll upload my set and everything will resume it's normal course.
