Hey guys, me and my buddy are gone out doing a piece on a legal wall down town here. But before we do it, I want some good quality paint. Anyone know where I can find montana, krylon or any of that ****. Ive used krylon but its not the best. Also I need some caps, where can I find some good ones? I got a fatty cap, and a fine cap (thin lines) and a normal cap. But I need some more. Or can you only find them online?

Most major cities have a graf shop, but lots dont too. The best bet would be online.

Is Kap a good name to tag you reckon?

I wanted to do Cap but K is my best letter

I find doing C's are easier then K's. And you just get the feel of letters. Not just one in praticuluar, you cant have a tag and only one letter be good in it, all of them need to flow :)! And Kap sounds pretty cool, its your choice :p.

I'm working on the tag right now, I'm sort of artistically challenged but I make up for it with creativity. I'll try to post pics tommorow night.

Theres no Kap though, and im sure theres also someone out there who uses Save Or Skin but I use it because no one I know uses it here. It'd be kind of hard to have to come up with a name not already tooken. But your right Capo, and Cap are closely related.

that last 'skin' looks good, all i could add would be to work on getting the 3d on point, it throws the image out and becomes flat when something falls out of place. use a dot point in the centre about 20 or 30cm below the image, then a straight edge as a guide to get it all uniform. do you get what i mean... i just woke up after a big night so it probably doesn't make much sense

Not to much sense but I think I get what your trying to say. I think all in all you want me to work on my 3d. Ill agree the 3d is wack, but It was only a quick sketch for a painting im going to tag. :) Ill post pics later when I do tag it.

I was with people at the time and I dont get nervous really. And this may sound dumb but we were in an open area sort of, and I wasnt nervous my friends were though. They like tagging though there just scared to get caught as well im not. And im gone to go do a legal that way I have all day to spend at it, and perfect it. And my can control is getting better :)! Well I would color it, but I have no colors. Ill color it some time later. For now what ive been doing is just picturing colors that would look best. Ps Sev7n the reason why that ones no simple is because when I was told to go simpler I had drawn that already I was just sharing. To make a letter look like its leaning forward make it taper twords the bottem, and have the 3-d do the same. Its the same idea as a vinishing point when draing buildings, but at the bottem of the letters.

Im not sure im one to be giving sugjestions but haywire. Start of way more simpler, and black thicks lines with random stuff around it isnt graffiti, try drawing with sqaurish blocks first and work your way through. All the stuff around your words is Unnecessary so loose it. But then agian im not really one to be giving sugjestions ;)! Keep working on it man.

Hahaha thats what the guy told me when I was tagging it. But yes It did work thats why my fill came out pretty good. Also pretty good stencil. Im loving it, I want to be able to do these but I havent been able to figure out how to do them. Good that is. Any tips on stencils.

The piece I dont like that much, the can control was pretty good, and no visible drips.
And you missed a tiny bit of white on a bit of 3d. Up the very top of the 1st letter.

^The 3D in general was off - so was the entire letter I. Incredibly depressing. I really should paint more, that was my first piece and I'm incredibly dissappointed. I figure that if I'm working off a sketch I'd be able to do a bit better, so we'll see next time.

wow it's quite true, some graffiti removals are dead ugly but others are quite good even if it was done unconsciously

at my school people made tags and other stuff on the walls lol, and two friends of mine got detention and they had to remove all the tags, so they painted over it making tetris pieces hahaha it looks really good now

I disagree with that video because, people give time and thought into big graffiti pieces. And when someone wont calll it art, but when some lazy paint remover comes around and make a bunch of squares by painting over 'art' then call what they've made art. In my opinion thats just dumb...

If a graffiti artist where to make some sort of piece that they knew was going to get covered up, and designed it in such a way to become art after someone painted over it to cover it up. It would more than likely have to be on a very large scale, considering the people covering the artwork up more than likely use paint rollers. Also they usually use one color, so maybe a silohoutte. They could always do it over an extended period of time also, hoping for different shades of paint, but the outcomes would be to complicated to judge (at least I would imagine).

Just an interesting though I suppose.

I was always drawing **** on here and people told me it sucked, I needed to work on basic **** and I admit it, I did! BUT I found painting and sucking was actually pretty damn fun. I dont care if my piece looked like **** it was fun as hell painting...Anyway thats just my view.

and I suggest you also try to make letters look like the ones on your keyboard

like the whole thing with the s connecting to the k looks weird to me

I started getting into this a little.

Sup guys.
Today I got a pack of sharpies (only good colouring markers around me), and a white uni posca paint marker.

The posca is nice, and alright sized nib aswell (8mm). Only bad thing is the nib isnt very durable and the paint leaks a bit when you shake it.

How much were the sharpies and do they work good?

Or staples. Not worth buying, there to ****ty. And the quality of sharpies is bad. And stains papers easily. So I usually aviod sharpies. (Why my pics are always B & W)

Wow this stuff compared to oldies. Theres actually no comparison. Im like almost all of them, I love the 4th one. Im going to try something similiar to that if you dont mind (for a fill).

I dont live near any michaels, staples or anything. All I have is newsagents (REALLY expensive paint pens) or a shop called stationary home which has even more expensive paint pens.

Wouldnt you rather have 8 sharpies for 8 dollars, rather than have 1 paint pen for 6 or 7 dollars?

And I cant rack from them because at all newsagents the pens are right beside the counter, and they watch you. And at stationery home they have the markers BEHIND the counter.

go simpler like ur last letter just not that focused on the 3-d I say that since u kinda used arrows in some letters that dont help the sketch at all

Yeah, I know I need to space my letters out a bit more. And I really don't do many extensions, and when I do I try and at least make them flow with the direction of the letters.

I think you need to draw more, and tweak it a bit, because it has possibilities, but DOES need work..

I know I was smoking weed like 10 minutes earlier. So I had no commen sense of straight. And yeah no sketch so ya know. When I work off sketchs they usually come out better. :)

are you guys retarded..? that's a straight letter that got put in the blender and then down the toilet. definitely not a throw. and saying you were smoking = not making yourself cool. either way weed doesn't even mess with your perception, you could've done that fine. jase paints drunk and high sometimes.

I know its bad, I had no picture to base it off and I was sort of in a rush. And it was just paint I found. But I learned good can control :)!

Nah thats not what I was trying. Also yeah I know its horrible. But whatever, I just wanted to paint. Its good can control though :)!

7evenup LOVE IT, its kinda got a whole cartoony/superhero **** going down, and thats cool....only thing to point out, make all the bars the same length, and try to get as straight and parallel as possible(example the up and down line on the D is a little more narrow at the top then the bottom, and kinda shaky)...other than that, you should definitely try new styles of 3D, and maybe curve it up a little...add a character, who knows, it just seems you are at that stage...
