Ok BILL, it's definately looking alot better than your last ones, so your slowly improving, but, Get all your letters, and make them all straight, then make them all in a straight line, then make them all the same size. Don't worry about colours or outlines or anything, just get simple letters down to start off.

Although im toy as all hell this is my advice.

Instead of trying to tweak your conjoining letters, take the letters singular and tweak them, like this:

Stupid camera not getting the coloring nicely...it looks much cleaner IRL. Also, the 3D is supposed to fade from dark blue to the light blue you see, the camera didn't pick that up.

Long jetty those stickers are sick and the A4 piece is nice too. Necro its really good considering it was done with just normal colouring pencils.

Necro the shading on that is beautiful, but there's a rule in graff, never overlap the 3d ontop of another letter. Just keep it underneath all the letters.

I made the can lower pressure by releasing some of the aerosol when i got it, so it doesnt spray as fast as fresh cans, in fact fresh cans are like best used for doing fills, then outlines when some of the paints outta them i think... Anyway i just moved my hand really really fast.

I've been so busy I haven't drawn anything forever...I did a NY street art projeckt for art class, and spraypainted a newspaper black, then stenciled and stickered the hell out of it...I think I got an "A" on it!

i need help.

Just keep pushing the pen down so the nib goes in and then lifting it up, so lift it up, push down over and over for a long time till the ink bleeds through.

Just to let you all know, what im actually doing right now is taking alot of inspiration from other artists and putting my style into work inspired directly from what they have done.

It's my way of finding my own style really, i can take other peoples work, put my twist into it, and go off and produce something like what they have, but with my full flavour in it, so now im at the stage of finding work i like, putting in my twist, and seeing if i like the end results to start working on my own.

Kinda like what you did with the theasarus....but like.....not lol.

ha ha, thats a combo of my wet paint plus camera flash. its a free wall, ive got flics of some other stuff on that wall, its up in seattle though. anyway yeah, i hate that peice, but its not exactly illegal so im posting pics for once. !

I will, and dont try to flame me down bruv...i never said it was MY character, i said it was a first attempt at one.

And as i said in my other post, i like to copy and place my own twist in things already done, its how i've worked from being 6 years old.

I copied my cousin Lee on how he rode a bike..then went away and practised my own way of doing it.

obviously u went to that website and just used a graffity font and typed elmo.
since when is using a font considered biting?

Rusty, that's really good for a first try, i'd say, keep the letters all the same size, make the R more like and R, it looks to much like a B, and the extension of the Y is a bit crazy, make it a little smaller, or you could make it into an exclamation mark (!) I think that'd look cool. Oh yeah, try finding a chisel tip marker, theyre alot better to use when your starting off and handstyle's.

Haha, are you kidding, you copied those letters directly from that site (or mr. wiggles). Biting is stealing somebody else's letters, since someone else has designed those letters, and you have copied them, the exact same, you are biting his letters. Yours only looks better because you squuashed the letters up more, I could of squished the letters up so it looked the exact same as it does on your hat, but I didn't so you could see the letters more clearly and they weren't overlapping. I don't care if there's not another perosn in the while world that write's elmo. You stole those letters from somebody else.

Elmo biting is copying someone's work without acknowledging that you copied it. I copied Bugs Bunny, and acknowlegded that it's not my work, I copied someone else's. Everyone will see it and know it's not my work. You copied that alphabet, and no you didn't say that you copied it, you just said, I drew on my hat. So next time, just say, I copied this from here: because otherwise, you give the impression your trying to claim it as your own ;)

They are just nib's that have a 1-2cm width and are rectangle, instead of ending in a circle. You find them alot on highlighters, but I don't recommenr a highlighter, a Sharpie chisel tip (http://img.auctiva.com/imgdata/0/2/7/3/6/1/webimg/7225974_tp.jpg) that's what i use, it is great, but just go to the shop and ask for a black chisel tip marker and they should hook you up.

Haha, yeah like people aren't going to know thats not bugs bunny. What's the point in acknowledging that's not my own work, everybody is going to know that's bugs bunny. That would be hilarious if I started trying to claim that as my own character. You gave me the impression you were trying to claim the font as your own, and I wanted to point out you should acknowldge it's not your own, and biting isn't going to get you anywhere in graff. Graff artisit round here copy well known characters all the time, when they do peices, they draw family guy, south park characters, Loonie tunes etc. but they dont write on the wall, "This character is not mine, it's from a TV series" or w/e because everyone already knows it's not there character. Now if they went and copied another writers font, and put it on the wall, that would be considered a bite, because not everyone's going to know its their's and there copying someone else's stuff. I admit, alot of people start of by copying other people's work, and it can give them a good idea of pen control etc and help when starting off, but I see too many people trying to claim others work as their own, and it just pisses me right off.

Make simpler sketches, with basically the letters on your keyboard, blown up, like block letters, then work from there.

Heres one of my good graffitis of my name ... sorry LJ (i think it was your style), i just had to use the halo that you use .... its so awesome! so dont tell me im biting im not classing it as my own work ... lol .... Hopefully its not to small i cant get any bigger coz i have nearly used all my skatercafe uploads lol

Haha, nah, when drawing handstyle's halo's quotation marks, underlines etc. are all generic, meaning everyone uses them. Your not biting, your just using generic symbols.

Gloss? I spray over my stuff with spray adhesive to water-proof, but I don't gloss them. To make them glossy, you buy glossy photo paper, draw your tag/thropeice on it, then spray the top of it with a clear coat of spraypaint.

Enigmatic I really like that peice, strange name, but w/e the peice itself id rockin. Looks like it says Eni to me, short for Enigma.

You can make a sticker out of normal paper, you just draw whatever you want onto it, cut it out, then use spray adhesive to stick it up.

You need to define your N more, and the E doesn't really fit in with the style, it's too curvy. But nice, clean painting.

Well what else should i do apart from tags coz im getting a bit bored of just doing them and my parents would NEVER let me do spraypainting ...

Ask your parents if you could spraypaint in the backyard! Yes, I agree, don't do it illegally, you will most likely get caught at some stage, every illegal writer does. Just go to a dump and find some big peices of wood or metal, take them home, lean them against your fence and just spraypaint on them. You can just paint over everything in white when your done, so you have a clean slatre to paint on next time. That's what I do.

Damn man, consider yourself lucky, get your parents to buy you paint, and a mask (beleive me you dont wanna inhale to much paint fumes) and set up some big peices of plywood in your backyard, or do a search for freewalls or legal walls/ I honestly wouldnt be to woried about getting caught though. peace.

I like taking my time when im painting, so i do a lot of legals (artwalls/permission) but occasionaly i do head out with some paint and hit some chill spots (train tracks and stuff) but i dont go all the time. i catch tags on electric boxes during the day and stuff though. never churches or schools or home run businesses.

I have done illegals before, but stopped, cause it's not worth the risk. if i'm good enough i'll be able to paint public places legally, so i'll just wait until then.

lol, ive painted really funny spots in broad daylight and never been caught before. But i have respect for schools and churches, thats why i wouldnt paint them. Wheras id bomb like the back of a 7-11 or police station or whatever.

For the S, move the curves in the side further apart. The I is cool, try to aline the dents with the E. And make the N that same size as other letters, and move the dents/curves further apart.
