Yeah thats what I was trying to say, that the letters made the colour look too full and not that good. Izi I think your letters should have more space for each one, and maybe a bit wider, cause they look like they've been pushed together or something.

Izi, your letters dont have to be straight and sharp. Curve them, etc.
And no, you didnt keep the bars all the same.

Izi, try SPACING the letters, as Lachlan said make them a bit curved if you need to, give them more flow they are kind of very static and also it looks like they're falling or something cause the lines are bent. If you look closely theres not one straight line thats paralel to the paper so they're all at a different angle, if you know what I mean

Also, orange, red and yellow? Blends in too much and squashes it.
But I like the colors on the last one.. and that alien thing is so random hahah nice

Ehh =] not exactly graffiti but I sketched it today in Graphic Design class for my homework (yes..it was last minutely done =[ it turns out I needed more sketches for ideas.. so I got a 1..) Oh yes, and I did this sketch wrong, Fascination is the word I decided to use for this lesson.. but I was supposed to draw/express the opposite of the word I use...which I did not as you can see, but I still like it. My teacher is also the school's Art teacher so he said that if he asked me if I was to draw what the word is supposed to express, my word Fascination as it is would be wonderfull.. but yeah =[ too bad it's supposed to be opposite. I'll be making a another sketch for this in the opposite tonight. By the wayyy, there's no outlines on the N at the end because the paper got cut off there.

Pretty nice, maybe thicker on the Cul thing.

And yeah the arrow was cool at the beginning, but I ran out of the purple, and so I filled it with a darker color, which made the black non-existant, so I used a light paint pen

Second one you bit the letter structure, without the addons so thats sorta alright but not really.

Ok so far, quick movements. And yes first time trying a piece, I've done a few throws on some plywood, but not worth posting.

And the dots on the outside WERE supposed to drip, but I relized AFTER, that'd it be better to do that first, then cover over the areas that I'm going to put my name.


I'm getting a ****load of color from Bombingscience next week, like 10-20 cans, to last me a good while. Also some markers, and tips to help.

And I'm making a practice wall of like 4-5 sheets of plywood to practice stuff on, in a week or so, so I can get that down.


The worst thing about that piece I did, was that I had no damn dark color to contradict the yellow/orange/white. So I tried to make due.

Oh well, more black book, and paint stuff to come!

yeah thats true.. it does help alot to have people comment on your stuff but I think we shouldnt post so many things, at least people who are starting. first practice practice practice, but not posting every single piece on paper, cause it gets kind of lame. well at least I'm going to keep my stuff for myself unless I really like it, until I do something of profit.

Ignore the lines through the letters. I did them wrong and makes the bars look to skinny. It was 11:00 at night and I couldnt focus lol.

i'm diggin the hip hop straight blocks up top. the random lines in the cult letters throw it off a bit though.

i've seen a lot of writers who have a similar style to sev7n's but that seems like a stretch to me

a lot of writers i chill with have/had/can do similar styles, so i just kind of take those and mess with them a bit. no bites though.

And lol, I only have Izi on ONE slap, which I'll just throw on a binder or something lol. And my real name is Israel by the way(NO, NOT JEWISH).

and keep in mind what the others where telling you about letter structure there doesn't seem to be a steady flow with your letters. the C and the A line up straight but the the P and O r doing their own thing. if you kept them the same it would look a lot better.

Today I went down to the tracks to see the freight rolling in, and see all the graff. AND A COPE2 PIECE SHOWED UP!!1

IT WAS INTENSE...dude it was all pretty and colorful and awesome, and then next to it, it said in scrawls from someone like writing TO him, "Respect to ya' man from....", then it had maybe 20 scrawls of different writers, which all looked like someone did it once, then the next stop more people did it, and etc, like 20 writers just all wrote respects to him.

And so then me and my friend, who writes EVAB both scrawled in some paint, adding to the list.

Then I saw it go away a few hours ago...


...well that was my day.

isnt krylon like 12 oz per can? if thats the case, thats about 354 mL. sooo montana cans have about 50 more mL than a regular krylon can. itll probably last around as much time as a krylon can.

What are you lot talking about? dont use Monny for just tags? Are you all serious? Montana banana skinny caps are made for tags. Thick outline like a fat cap for tags by little pressure on the cap...press down hard for thin lines like a skinny for tags.

You can get hardcore in 2 sizes anyway Izi. 400ML and 700ML i think. Then on top of that you can get montana gold for weird colour like flourecents.

If i was you, id be using belton molotow.

Only **** i use, if i am using anything else it'll be monny gold elephant greys for a fill or monny gold for outline. OR....id use monny alien, but thats hard to find for me...only person i've seen using it was the man i got it off called sept who writes for TSH and NTA

Aliens are good for bombing but I wouldn't use a 400ml can of Montana for it, probably just a fill. But that's just me. I've used Aliens before, and they're pretty good, especially when you're getting searched.. haha. :o

Montana has more pigmant which means it has richer fuller colors, and it stays bright longer. Also they have a huge selection of colors. Overall its not worth $6 a can. Pretty colors dont help too much, skill is much more important.

Using plywood works much better, Anything soft will drain the color out the paint.

Yeah I'm getting some plywood or masonite to use outside now on a wall sort of thing to practice on, since its nice outside now.

Its pretty sloppy. Lots of drops. No clear outline. The shine is messed up. The letters themself are a little off. But for a first attempt I dont know, its not that bad.

I made one for a character the other day. But for the graffiti itself, you don't use stencils it's REALLY toy...you learn through can control and drawing how to do major stuff.

Show us some of your lettering because you don't want to paint until you get better, drawing should help, show us some stuff first.

And well you don't need stencils I made one cause I had to in art class then another when I got home from school, you just card over the positive(or negative if its for a different design) of a drawing in some cardboard then spraypaint over it on a wall or whatever.

Graffiti isnt only stylish letters etc. Normal straight letters like on the keyboard are very popular in stencilling. And I expect FFC will be angry at you for saying stencilling the letters is toy.

You can do stylish letters with stecils to. Go to the griptabe graffiti thread and watch the embedded video on the first page.

I was bored, so I doodled on this peice of paper I had, the basic tag looks good but the colors ruined it I think. I should of took a picture of it before I colored it in, by the way. Sense I dont usually color in my sketchs im not 100% sure where to get them good markers people use for the sketchs that blend well. And im not just talking about sharpees. Where can I find some good quality markers, aswell what type of markers should I get?

Also for the record I messed up on my handstyle on the top right, and all in all I suck at handstyles, ill admit to that. And the tag says COEG, if you havent caught on.
