Introduction/Explanation
Hello and welcome to Skaters Cafe! I have made this FAQ about the Staff for all newcomers because even I thought Toms paragraph in his thread about the Cafes many functions was a good quick explanation, I want to make it as clear as possible for all of you with questions about the Skaters Cafe staff. First and foremost you should know that this is an awesome community! We are a tight knit forum that has morals and standards. Unless you plan to spam or something like that don't expect to get in trouble with them because that's not what the Cafe does. So if you are holding back or scared of showing your personality due to fear of them, don't.
Why are The Staff so important?
You may ask why these select members are important, why having their priveledges makes them special. I'm here to say that they are what keeps the forum functioning. Without them this site would probably get shut down for all the spam that would build up. They help to stop people from spamming and from other innapropriate things. Just recently they prevented a lot of people from seeing a innapropriate picture spam fest by a few members awhile back by being on top of things, and deleting the stuff before too many people saw it. They can do many things a normal member can't which they have to have or else they couldn't keep the forums under control. They are very useful to have around and they all are pretty cool as well. They do however have a job and if you spam they will be forced to ban you. Just stay cool and you'll be all right. ;)
How to spot one.
All of the staff have different colors than normal members. This a color legend so you know what colors are which.
Administrators names look like this,

Staff Priveledges
This is the section where I'm going to list all of their priviledges of the different Staff groups. This will help you understand what they do and who is in charge.
Administrators: They can pretty much control everything on the board. They are in charge and keep the board running. They choose Mods and they can edit anything they want to. They have all the powers of mods of course. They are the law, what else can I say?
Senior Moderators/Moderators/Head of creative team:
They are all moderators. The only difference is that some of them have powers in more forums than others. This is what they can do in the forum they do moderate.
1. They can ban members
2. They can warn members (a certain amount of warnings results in a ban.)
3. They can delete posts/threads
4. They can sticky threads (which keeps the thread at the top forum all the time.
5. They can move threads to different forums
6. They can close topics which disables normal members from posting in it.
7. They can merge topics together
8. They can edit all thread/post content to whatever they want.
9. They can edit your profile (signature/bio/lots of stuff)
10. I think they can see people who use the invisable feature.
They can do this and probably much more.
Have concerns about the site?
If at any time you have a concern about the site, such as a post/thread in the wrong place, or you just want one of your threads deleted, please do not directly jump and PM an ADMIN about this issue. We don't always have time to jump through ALL the PMs and solve every problem one at a time. It would be much easier for you to either:
A-Report the post using our Report feature. (Top right of every post)
B- Notify a Global Mod about the issue if it's an emergency through either a PM or any messaging system they have available.

How to become one
Something you have to understand about this is that not everyone can be a moderator. You may be a really good member but if the Admins don't feel like you qualify then that's fine. The forum isn't about becoming one but about meeting new people and learning new things. The Mods just make it easier. Here are seven rules that I have made that are pretty basic but important qualities in a mod.
1) Make sure you are trustworthy and don't lie about things.
2) Never pm an Admin or make a topic asking to be a moderator.
3) Make good intelligent posts that people like to listen to.
4) MAke helpful posts that will help people.
5) Never flame or try to look better than someone else
6) Come up with good ideas that will benfit the forum. An example would be Daniel Jones and how he suggested the rep sytem.
7) Be active and make people excited to see your name in the active users box by being the best member you can be!
So in Closing...
The staff play a very important role in the Cafe. They keep the forums clean and provide us all with inspiration. They are just members with more responsibilities and who make the forum a better place for us all, so please give them the respect that they deserve.
