dude, that was such a great tip. i mean, i think you really explained it well. a lot of trick tips just show the trick being done and then some guy says it just takes practice. haha, anyways.... cool.

Could you throw that fingerflip trick tip on youtube? It takes really long to load for us 56kers to watch it without the compression. From what I saw before my internet gave up, it was good.

nice one bro, i just finished a rolling fakie casper trick tip if you want it, its just uploading now, i find its the easyest casper variation for me so it may help others i guess.

edit:

ive just seen you dont like them on Putfile, soo i'll sign up with youtube soon and put it on there..

yeah, i like Youtube because it compresses everything for the guys with slow connections. And putfile and zippy usually give up on me after a while. It's too bad we did practically the same trick :P

does anyone have any requests? I'm going to do old school kickflips and 50/50's next.

haha yea i know, ive only just seen your casper one once i just finished my one, haha, ohh well, just ditch mine then, no worrys.

i wouldnt mind seeing some slow motion fan flips they have had me for months, only if you can and dont mind doing it .

if theres any videos you want me to film, just say bro. i dont want to clash again, haha

aronsamma
10-09-2006, 04:28 PM
I'm still putting yours up. From the 27% i've seen so far, it's going to be good.

I have done a fanflip or two, but I don't think I'm qualified to teach them, and i wouldn't say they're a beginner's freestyle trick anyway.

would you mind doing 50/50's? I planned on doing them out of neccesity, but i wasn't really looking forward to it.

Stevie Hunt
10-09-2006, 04:33 PM
yea man ok, i'll do them, i'll get alot of ins and outs of filmed too. (finger flips in and out, from nose, to rail, NH , Wraps maybe)

10-09-2006, 05:32 PM
Good. I finally finished watching your video, and i would suggest you change "capser" and "balence" at the end before you put it on youtube. Other than that, it's got a good description and everything. nice work.

aronsamma

Well, if you don't have a video camera, it wouldn't really be worth it. I could do them if you think that's a good trick to have.

^^ what i will do is latter as i make the 5050 video i'll prbly remake the casper one agan, it was abit rushed alltogether really, i'll work on the 5050 as song as i return from collage tonight, and if time i'll start the casper one again, i think your one will do fine for the caspers anyways in the mean time.

Well, I woke up before the snow did and was able to finish filming this old school kickflip trick tip:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQ6jRlBs7i4

Luckily, my camera has a fancy anti-wind thing so you can actually hear me. I was in the middle of kickbacks when it started to snow again, but it looks like it stopped, so i might be able to go out again in a little while.

Thanks for these! I decide to gve freestyle a try today, and these helped alot! Any suggestions on keeping tail damage to a minimum? I literally skated for only about 10 minutes when i lost a small chunk of my tail! At this rate, I'll wear down my tail completely if i skate for an hour or two! So, any suggestions?

Anything you can do to help would be great. Of course, I don't think I've ever seen you skate before, so I don't know what kind of stuff you're good at.

Mayfair
10-25-2006, 12:58 PM
Well, I can do a lot of different stuff. You're covering basics right now, right? Why don't you make a little list and I'll see what I can do for you?

aronsamma
10-25-2006, 01:13 PM
hmm... sidewinders would be nice, and any type of toe or pressure flip that you may have.

Mayfair
10-25-2006, 01:16 PM
Okay, I can do sidewinders; I'll film a sidewinder in the same kind of style as your clips from earlier. I can probably do the same for pressureflips too; I've had those wired for a while. I just need to requistion a camera from somewhere...

Cool. Sidewinders aren't my friends, so it would be great if you could handle them. Don't forget I already did the inward heelflip style pressure flip.

I'm going to be filming a NH 50-50 trick tip, a Gymnast Plant trick tip, a Railflip trick tip, and a BS 360 shove-it trick tip soon too. Probably. Perhaps a kickback trick tip, I'm decent at that trick too.

10-25-2006, 05:13 PM
what kind of railflip? I look forward to seeing your gymanst plant one, in any case. Thanks for the help.

Also, do you mind if I put your tips up with mine in a thread on the f forum?

Necromortis
10-25-2006, 08:05 PM
^I have no problem with it.

I'll start of covering straight 3/4 railfips, then go into varial double railflips. Maybe even include a short bit about one footed railflips.

impossibles: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jas2eWi-qOk

Mayfair
10-26-2006, 06:06 PM
I would like to note that your tip to make it stick to your feet - by tipping it slightly sideways - is risky. That's how I do them when I'm lazy or tired, and they often end up leaving my feet or getting a horrible sideways wrap, and often ends up with a half-flip appearing somewhere along the way; I prefer to try and keep my foot as flat as possible with mine.

After all, your foot is the pivot point during the trick; if it's not parallel with the floor, the board won't wrap around it straight, will be harder to control, and won't look as good.

Also, you forgot the BIGGEST TIP when you're talking about impossibles; I can't remember who told it me, but try and bring your back foot to where the front one began as you pop. That results in possibly the best-wrapped impossibles if you can get it right, and reduces the chances of just doing nasty 360 shuvits around your foot.

aronsamma
10-26-2006, 06:12 PM
That tip mostly applied to the horizontal ones that I didn't recommend, and only slightly to the good way. As to the second thing, I've never thought about them that way, I just wrap the board in a semi circle forward and then up. That is a good tip though.

Mayfair
10-26-2006, 07:31 PM
Those two tips (keep your foot flat and level with the floor and aim for the front foot) always worked wonders for my impossibles. I can't remember who told me the aim for the front foot tip, but it was possibly the most useful thing anyone's ever said to me (other than roll fakie for caspers, which never occurred to me). So, you know, just sharing the love.

xxx :)

You already watched the videos for each of those tricks? for caspers, you want to have all your weight over your back foot. What kind of 50/50's are you doing, and what's going wrong with your railflips?

Also, it's stickied because we've put in at least 20 hours of hard work into this collection so far. Do you want us to just let it die off?

tell me how to balance on caspers and 50/50
and i have problems with railflips

and why is this stickied

its stickied because its a extremly helpfull thread, as Aronsamma also said alot of work has been put into it.

as for balence in caspers.. if your first learning them i would surgest learning the fakie rolling casper, its probly the easyest. the rolling momentum helps you to keep that foot from touching the floor and makes fliping out easyer then doing it stationary.

I'd say casper flips are easier if you have kickflips down good. I find the diffuculty level for impossibles tend to vary from person to person, some can't seem to understand the way it is supposed rotate while others can it all depends on your skating i guess.

yeah when i try to move my foot away from the board with pressure flips it turns into a kickflip

FightFlyCrow
04-16-2007, 11:12 PM
Set up with your foot parallel to the heelside rail, and you shouldn't have that problem. As you get better at them, you will be able to turn your foot to a more natural possition.

Hilikus, a toeflip is a type of pressure flip that flips like a varial kickflip, while normal pressure flips flip like inward heelflips.

lazerflip, he does a springback kind of method, where he pops down on the heelside so that the heelside will rise up, then he pops down straight with his back foot, which evens it out and starts the flip. it's a very slow flip, which is why he does them shoulder high :P

^^ varial double flips, triple flips, and so on there, rail to caspers, rail kickbacks, all the various cooper rail flips, all TS and HS, all to x footed, all on Banks or any obsticals, no reason they have to remain on the flat. =) List goes on bro.

what's a triple flip?
i can't kickflip btw

Stevie Hunt

I ment triple flip as in a rail triple flip or varial triple flip, meaning the board flips 3 times before landing.

dude Aron you rock man, seriously. I never really looked at any of the videos before, but with my newest video a few people suggested I learn some flip tricks, and these are perfect! I didn't even know what an old school kickflip was, I watched your tricktip, went outside and 5 minutes I got the base of it down. Now just to practice it until I figure it out fully. Plus you go beyond just saying the basics, you explain it in more detail and that helps 100% better.

I watched Keiths butterflip trick tips too and I was impressed how well he explained them.

There's this great new site that's come out where people upload all kinds of crazy videos and you can use this unique feature called a "search bar" and type in what you're looking for so it's easy to find. It's called "Youtube".

screw u ,man theres no good videos on youtube on how to do an ollie while moving.

If it were an uncommon hard trick I would understand, but ollies and kickflips are the two most commonly made tricktips...

As much as I hate to help you now, I went to Youtube, I typed in "How to Ollie" and these are respectively #2 and #3 of what came up. I even watched them through and they are indeed good tricktips. Skateyasha is even a member of this forum. Likewise there are tons of good kickflip tricktips. It's really quite easy only took me roughly 20 seconds to find these videos.
