Stevie Hunt 10-06-2006, 04:50 PM nice thread, let me know if you need a hand with this, be glad to help.
ethio_simon 10-06-2006, 05:17 PM dude, that was such a great tip. i mean, i think you really explained it well. a lot of trick tips just show the trick being done and then some guy says it just takes practice. haha, anyways.... cool.
aronsamma 10-06-2006, 05:30 PM Dead Sparrow, if you make any, feel free to post them up. i want to make a full guide for beginners in freestyle.
Stevie Hunt 10-06-2006, 05:58 PM ok mate , will do, thanks, if your covering 5050s and rail flips next, i'll probley go and make some beginer rolling trick trick-tip videos
aliensk8er11 10-06-2006, 09:49 PM o sweet that would be great so i can perfect all those moves
ISkateZero 10-06-2006, 09:49 PM I can help some shove it variations if you would like.
aronsamma 10-06-2006, 09:54 PM yeah, feel free. just take your time and make it as detailed as possible.
if anyone would like to handle fingerflips, that would be cool; i'm not so great at them.
aliensk8er11 10-06-2006, 09:56 PM well maybe out of 50-50 stands i could but not like olie or moving fingerflip
skaterbob 10-06-2006, 11:03 PM yeah, feel free. just take your time and make it as detailed as possible.
if anyone would like to handle fingerflips, that would be cool; i'm not so great at them.
http://media.putfile.com/fingerflips-tricktip
i made this a while ago... hope its mildly useful...
EastonBryan 10-07-2006, 02:00 PM Helped a lot. I really like it.
Great description
aronsamma 10-07-2006, 03:56 PM Could you throw that fingerflip trick tip on youtube? It takes really long to load for us 56kers to watch it without the compression. From what I saw before my internet gave up, it was good.
Railflip added to first post.
aronsamma 10-09-2006, 03:06 PM Casper added to first post
Stevie Hunt 10-09-2006, 03:37 PM nice one bro, i just finished a rolling fakie casper trick tip if you want it, its just uploading now, i find its the easyest casper variation for me so it may help others i guess.
edit:
http://media.putfile.com/casper-trick-tip-video
ive just seen you dont like them on Putfile, soo i'll sign up with youtube soon and put it on there..
aronsamma 10-09-2006, 04:01 PM yeah, i like Youtube because it compresses everything for the guys with slow connections. And putfile and zippy usually give up on me after a while. It's too bad we did practically the same trick :P
does anyone have any requests? I'm going to do old school kickflips and 50/50's next.
Stevie Hunt 10-09-2006, 04:21 PM yeah, i like Youtube because it compresses everything for the guys with slow connections. And putfile and zippy usually give up on me after a while. It's too bad we did practically the same trick :P
does anyone have any requests? I'm going to do old school kickflips and 50/50's next.
haha yea i know, ive only just seen your casper one once i just finished my one, haha, ohh well, just ditch mine then, no worrys.
i wouldnt mind seeing some slow motion fan flips they have had me for months, only if you can and dont mind doing it .
if theres any videos you want me to film, just say bro. i dont want to clash again, haha
aronsamma 10-09-2006, 04:28 PM I'm still putting yours up. From the 27% i've seen so far, it's going to be good.
I have done a fanflip or two, but I don't think I'm qualified to teach them, and i wouldn't say they're a beginner's freestyle trick anyway.
would you mind doing 50/50's? I planned on doing them out of neccesity, but i wasn't really looking forward to it.
Stevie Hunt 10-09-2006, 04:33 PM yea man ok, i'll do them, i'll get alot of ins and outs of filmed too. (finger flips in and out, from nose, to rail, NH , Wraps maybe)
aronsamma 10-09-2006, 05:32 PM Good. I finally finished watching your video, and i would suggest you change "capser" and "balence" at the end before you put it on youtube. Other than that, it's got a good description and everything. nice work.
aliensk8er11 10-09-2006, 05:33 PM wen i learn 1 footed nose shuvits i could do that to. it will be soon. but i also dont have a video camerea
aronsamma 10-09-2006, 05:36 PM Well, if you don't have a video camera, it wouldn't really be worth it. I could do them if you think that's a good trick to have.
Stevie Hunt 10-10-2006, 07:00 AM ^^ what i will do is latter as i make the 5050 video i'll prbly remake the casper one agan, it was abit rushed alltogether really, i'll work on the 5050 as song as i return from collage tonight, and if time i'll start the casper one again, i think your one will do fine for the caspers anyways in the mean time.
Necromortis 10-10-2006, 08:05 PM I plan on filming more but:
TS Rail to Rail - http://youtube.com/watch?v=WV741apmtWU

aronsamma 10-10-2006, 10:18 PM Thanks a lot, that's exactly what I'm looking for.
Stevie Hunt 10-11-2006, 03:25 PM here you go, the 5050 trick tip video
i put it up on video google, is that cool ?
http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=8140947470018694561&hl=en-GB
aronsamma 10-11-2006, 05:05 PM Yeah, that's cool. thanks a lot.
iron_jones 10-11-2006, 07:48 PM I can help by doing nothing at all except giving u my support!
aronsamma 10-12-2006, 12:55 PM thanks.
Well, I woke up before the snow did and was able to finish filming this old school kickflip trick tip:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQ6jRlBs7i4
Luckily, my camera has a fancy anti-wind thing so you can actually hear me. I was in the middle of kickbacks when it started to snow again, but it looks like it stopped, so i might be able to go out again in a little while.
aronsamma 10-16-2006, 02:49 PM My last post auto merged, so you might not have seen it, but I added old school flips^^
Also, Nosehook impossibles: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vdWPSeE_qcg
and pressure flips: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pAZyfuJCS0s
abctom123 10-16-2006, 03:11 PM Nice vids, railstand to casper helped me thenks.
Stevie Hunt 10-17-2006, 03:45 AM nice, nose hook impossibles!! lovely trick that one
aronsamma 10-17-2006, 05:36 PM hey, the people on youtube seem to like my videos:
http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m188/aronphoto/inbox.jpg
Calfwraps: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ElWluLbURiU
Mr. Weenabago 10-18-2006, 02:11 PM nice.... bumped :D
shortyskates 10-22-2006, 10:15 PM Thanks for these! I decide to gve freestyle a try today, and these helped alot! Any suggestions on keeping tail damage to a minimum? I literally skated for only about 10 minutes when i lost a small chunk of my tail! At this rate, I'll wear down my tail completely if i skate for an hour or two! So, any suggestions?
Necromortis 10-22-2006, 10:36 PM Get a pair of skidplates.
~Necro
Stevie Hunt 10-24-2006, 12:24 PM nice one man on the calf wraps, i used to really be into this trick, wraping back out of it is deffintly one of the most stylish ways out of it.
aronsamma 10-25-2006, 09:18 AM hey, do you guys who helped mind if I post your trick tips on the f-forum?
Stevie Hunt 10-25-2006, 10:43 AM i dont mind, go for it
Mayfair 10-25-2006, 12:36 PM So, what's the next tip? Any ideas?
aronsamma 10-25-2006, 12:38 PM Kickbacks, probably
Mayfair 10-25-2006, 12:41 PM You want any help with those, or want me to do any tips in the future? I've got to start filming again soon anyways.
aronsamma 10-25-2006, 12:54 PM Anything you can do to help would be great. Of course, I don't think I've ever seen you skate before, so I don't know what kind of stuff you're good at.
Mayfair 10-25-2006, 12:58 PM Well, I can do a lot of different stuff. You're covering basics right now, right? Why don't you make a little list and I'll see what I can do for you?
aronsamma 10-25-2006, 01:13 PM hmm... sidewinders would be nice, and any type of toe or pressure flip that you may have.
Mayfair 10-25-2006, 01:16 PM Okay, I can do sidewinders; I'll film a sidewinder in the same kind of style as your clips from earlier. I can probably do the same for pressureflips too; I've had those wired for a while. I just need to requistion a camera from somewhere...
Snowjoe 10-25-2006, 01:18 PM Enough aaaaa!!
aronsamma 10-25-2006, 02:09 PM Okay, I can do sidewinders; I'll film aaa sidewinder in the same kind of style as your clips from earlier. I can probaably do the same for pressureflips too; I've had those wired for aa while. I just need to requistion aa camera from somewhere...
Sticky keys? :icon_wink
Cool. Sidewinders aren't my friends, so it would be great if you could handle them. Don't forget I already did the inward heelflip style pressure flip.
Necromortis 10-25-2006, 05:09 PM I'm going to be filming a NH 50-50 trick tip, a Gymnast Plant trick tip, a Railflip trick tip, and a BS 360 shove-it trick tip soon too. Probably. Perhaps a kickback trick tip, I'm decent at that trick too.
~Necro
aronsamma 10-25-2006, 05:13 PM what kind of railflip? I look forward to seeing your gymanst plant one, in any case. Thanks for the help.
Also, do you mind if I put your tips up with mine in a thread on the f forum?
Necromortis 10-25-2006, 08:05 PM ^I have no problem with it.
I'll start of covering straight 3/4 railfips, then go into varial double railflips. Maybe even include a short bit about one footed railflips.
~Necro
aronsamma 10-26-2006, 05:46 PM impossibles: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jas2eWi-qOk
Mayfair 10-26-2006, 06:06 PM I would like to note that your tip to make it stick to your feet - by tipping it slightly sideways - is risky. That's how I do them when I'm lazy or tired, and they often end up leaving my feet or getting a horrible sideways wrap, and often ends up with a half-flip appearing somewhere along the way; I prefer to try and keep my foot as flat as possible with mine.
After all, your foot is the pivot point during the trick; if it's not parallel with the floor, the board won't wrap around it straight, will be harder to control, and won't look as good.
Also, you forgot the BIGGEST TIP when you're talking about impossibles; I can't remember who told it me, but try and bring your back foot to where the front one began as you pop. That results in possibly the best-wrapped impossibles if you can get it right, and reduces the chances of just doing nasty 360 shuvits around your foot.
aronsamma 10-26-2006, 06:12 PM That tip mostly applied to the horizontal ones that I didn't recommend, and only slightly to the good way. As to the second thing, I've never thought about them that way, I just wrap the board in a semi circle forward and then up. That is a good tip though.
Mayfair 10-26-2006, 07:31 PM Those two tips (keep your foot flat and level with the floor and aim for the front foot) always worked wonders for my impossibles. I can't remember who told me the aim for the front foot tip, but it was possibly the most useful thing anyone's ever said to me (other than roll fakie for caspers, which never occurred to me). So, you know, just sharing the love.
xxx :)
Necromortis 10-27-2006, 12:55 AM M80's yay! http://youtube.com/watch?v=neTuPF5UUlQ
I know it looks like my right foot taps the ground on two of the slow motions - I promise you it doesn't. *shrug* Whatever :D
Aron, could you put this up on the F Forum too?
~Necro
aronsamma 10-27-2006, 02:03 PM I surely could, although nobody there seems to care in the least.
MetalSkater 10-29-2006, 06:24 AM Thx for that, i need it for caspers...
ISkateZero 10-29-2006, 06:48 AM M80's yay! http://youtube.com/watch?v=neTuPF5UUlQ

Aron, could you put this up on the F Forum too?
~Necro
Thanks, but could you get you doing one with a ollie kickflip?
Necromortis 10-29-2006, 01:00 PM Thanks, but could you get you doing one with a ollie kickflip?
Sorry man, but although I can do ollie kickflips, I don't. Ever. Sorry.

aronsamma 10-30-2006, 01:56 PM Old School varial flips: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NV24Ghg2q0E
Kickbacks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H99K2DIxepA
aronsamma 10-31-2006, 02:26 PM the delightful Mr. Jon Bunn from the f-forum made this tip for
50/50 Spacewalks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8hS7IQE07A
Sk8te Flip 11-01-2006, 04:44 AM tell me how to balance on caspers and 50/50
and i have problems with railflips
and why is this stickied
aronsamma 11-01-2006, 09:08 AM You already watched the videos for each of those tricks? for caspers, you want to have all your weight over your back foot. What kind of 50/50's are you doing, and what's going wrong with your railflips?
Also, it's stickied because we've put in at least 20 hours of hard work into this collection so far. Do you want us to just let it die off?
Stevie Hunt 11-01-2006, 10:47 AM tell me how to balance on caspers and 50/50
and i have problems with railflips
and why is this stickied
its stickied because its a extremly helpfull thread, as Aronsamma also said alot of work has been put into it.
as for balence in caspers.. if your first learning them i would surgest learning the fakie rolling casper, its probly the easyest. the rolling momentum helps you to keep that foot from touching the floor and makes fliping out easyer then doing it stationary.
aronsamma 11-02-2006, 03:33 PM Feather flips by H Downey added http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Eh3SC1FLIQ
lazerflip 11-14-2006, 01:36 PM Can you do toe flips?
aronsamma 11-14-2006, 01:39 PM yeah; do you want me to cover them?
lazerflip 11-14-2006, 03:45 PM ^Hehe, by do, I meant cover, yes. Thank you commander aron!
aronsamma 11-14-2006, 03:56 PM once my neck pops back into proper position, i'll get right on it
lazerflip 11-14-2006, 07:46 PM Owchers, how'd that happen?
aronsamma 11-14-2006, 09:50 PM I... turned around. not really quick or anything, but it still messed me up. I should be alright by Thursday, at least
Stevie Hunt 11-15-2006, 10:15 AM ^^ haha, the exsact thing happpend to me about a year ago, it feels like your neck has snapped or something, and it hurts so much when you move it left or right, i hated it, i think mine lasted fora bout 3 days, never figured out what happend though
Newbed 11-23-2006, 03:21 PM Sounds like whiplash to me.

lazerflip 12-19-2006, 08:16 PM I feel a Geto Boyz quote coming on:

ethan 12-20-2006, 08:39 PM wow this helps, i started today, and i can 540 spin and the casper tip helped. You guys are a real support and it gets me excited to learn more.
lazerflip 12-20-2006, 08:51 PM I feel a Geto Boyz quote coming on:
"Oh man homey
My mind plays tricks on me"
Think about that Aron.
Obviously someone doesn't respect the Geto Boyz's wisdom.
May the power of old school gangster rap start a beef and murder you with dis record after dis record!
NorCal Thrasher 12-20-2006, 09:17 PM are you interested in getting sponsored?

lazerflip 01-15-2007, 07:02 PM step off flips by rodney mullen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yn_rMUTVtdc
just so you know, I went hog wild today filming tricktips and will probably have 4-5 more up as soon as I edit them.
aronsamma 01-17-2007, 11:05 PM Great. I've been attempting to get out there to film my own, but winter is doing its thing.
lazerflip 01-28-2007, 12:39 PM Tricktip for fakie caspers - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8dQtLXUGq-Q
!
aronsamma 01-28-2007, 07:49 PM We already have a fakie casper tip, but I put it on the list
aronsamma 03-09-2007, 08:20 AM Casper and Hospital Flips - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JpLapTNc88E
Sk8te Flip 03-29-2007, 05:26 AM wow aronsamma.
in your list you put impossibles before casper flips.
do you find impossibles harder?
aronsamma 03-29-2007, 09:49 AM I don't know... I learned impossibles well before casper flips. Casper flips were easier to learn, but I don't know if I could have done them before impossibles.
bbengyak 03-29-2007, 04:26 PM I'd say casper flips are easier if you have kickflips down good. I find the diffuculty level for impossibles tend to vary from person to person, some can't seem to understand the way it is supposed rotate while others can it all depends on your skating i guess.
mona-lott 04-07-2007, 11:30 AM dude thank you so much for putting all thos videos there im in desperate need to learn some freestyle
skids113 04-16-2007, 11:06 PM one trick i learned from the list was calf wrap. It's like my main trick now ahhaa.
K!LL3R 04-16-2007, 11:10 PM yeah when i try to move my foot away from the board with pressure flips it turns into a kickflip
FightFlyCrow 04-16-2007, 11:12 PM Set up with your foot parallel to the heelside rail, and you shouldn't have that problem. As you get better at them, you will be able to turn your foot to a more natural possition.
jmaiurro 05-22-2007, 03:33 PM Dead Sparrow did you delete your 50/50 trick tip? It says on Google Video that it may be deleted or refresh your page. I refreshed it and nothing came up :(
Stevie Hunt 05-24-2007, 01:34 PM ^^ im making a new one
No Detection 05-24-2007, 03:37 PM featherflips just moved to the top of my "to learn" list
Hilikus421 05-24-2007, 11:22 PM is a toe flip the same as the pressure flip? seems to be the same concept. pressure flip is definetly on my list of tricks to learn...first im trying to master this damn pop shove it...i have commitement problems if you konw what i mean
jmaiurro 05-28-2007, 09:38 PM ^^ im making a new one
Oh okay cool, could you let me know when its done. Thanks
aronsamma 05-29-2007, 08:30 AM Hilikus, a toeflip is a type of pressure flip that flips like a varial kickflip, while normal pressure flips flip like inward heelflips.
lazerflip 06-19-2007, 11:22 AM hey aron, could you make a tricktip for no comply 360 flips? they seem really sick but I can't seem to get them. it would be appreciated.

lazerflip 06-22-2007, 01:05 PM well, i couldn't even match that
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lw0oZMZ4szw I mean this.
PopnFlip 06-22-2007, 01:08 PM Some of these videos are deleted but cool.
aronsamma 06-22-2007, 02:28 PM oh. that's actually quite different from MRCK's incidentally. I'll give it a try.
zero-or-die-777 06-22-2007, 07:37 PM wow these are very good videos
lazerflip 06-23-2007, 12:12 PM oh. that's actually quite different from MRCK's incidentally. I'll give it a try.
really? does mrck do them with his front foot more, with the sliding off motion?
XyunDemon 06-24-2007, 05:06 PM although it may not be neccessary, i could cover 50/50 to h/s railstand, ollie manuals, 360 pivots, or fakie bigspins. whichever you decide:D i have camp this week, but i may do some tonight, i get home friday
jmaiurro 06-24-2007, 08:33 PM although it may not be neccessary, i could cover 50/50 to h/s railstand, ollie manuals, 360 pivots, or fakie bigspins. whichever you decide:D i have camp this week, but i may do some tonight, i get home friday
Please a 5050 to rail. That would be great.
aronsamma 06-25-2007, 09:54 AM lazerflip, he does a springback kind of method, where he pops down on the heelside so that the heelside will rise up, then he pops down straight with his back foot, which evens it out and starts the flip. it's a very slow flip, which is why he does them shoulder high :P
(bump) i've been learning how to calf wrap with the video by aron and it says how to fix the problem of when you hit the nose or front truck, but i keep hitting the back truck and tail. do i need to slow down the scooping?
7evenUp 07-02-2007, 04:50 PM nice thread but i think the fs nose shove it was actiually bs...
aronsamma 07-02-2007, 04:51 PM nope, that was definitely frontside
XyunDemon 07-02-2007, 07:08 PM hey, sorry guys, i tried, but uh.... i was ridin my bike, and i hit a whole i couldn't see (covered in moss and junk) so the handle bars spun 90* and i just fell forward. the bars went into the dort and on of the handles drilled me EXTREMELY close to my, uh, "package". so yeah, i have been off my legs a few days
skaterbob 07-03-2007, 04:15 AM hm , i hardly look at this thread , and i forgot about the trick tip i made.. hah, and i definatly didnt know it was mirrored...by someone not me .. interesting

it's extremely helpful
alsoooo
Could you tell me what would be easy for me to head into after learning to do Varial Railflilps? they're not consistent, mind you, but that will all come in due time.
Already started on Old School Kickflips.
Stevie Hunt 08-03-2007, 03:49 PM ^^ varial double flips, triple flips, and so on there, rail to caspers, rail kickbacks, all the various cooper rail flips, all TS and HS, all to x footed, all on Banks or any obsticals, no reason they have to remain on the flat. =) List goes on bro.
MattxLustt 08-03-2007, 04:39 PM lol
i gotta get the hang of old schools first
=P
what's a triple flip?
i can't kickflip btw
Stevie Hunt 08-03-2007, 05:02 PM I ment triple flip as in a rail triple flip or varial triple flip, meaning the board flips 3 times before landing.
Tyler Self 08-03-2007, 06:35 PM I ment triple flip as in a rail triple flip or varial triple flip, meaning the board flips 3 times before landing.
I love those. :)
If you want to continue on rail flip tricks, go for reinteges flips.
MattxLustt 08-03-2007, 06:44 PM i can almost do double, and my rails do a pop shove it motion, so i think i'm like..tre flipping off of a railstand maybe?
idk quite what a tre flip is, so i couldn't tell you =P
i'll have a video on the 8th
AntiHero777 08-03-2007, 06:54 PM Tre flips just another name for 360 flip.
MattxLustt 08-03-2007, 07:22 PM which is a 360 shoveit/ kickflip?
if so, that's about what my railflips do, but it's a half shove-it, or full, i'll figure it out
with my video
on the 8th
*dramatic music*
Necromortis 08-03-2007, 10:22 PM You're doing a HS Rail 1 3/4 flip out.

Callum Bowran 03-11-2008, 04:14 PM Hey, can someone explain to me what a reingtes flip is? I don't necessarily need a trick tip, just to now what it is. And how the hell do you pronounce it
Last trick - http://youtube.com/watch?v=9IhmsETa9EE
It's pronounced Rhine-targe, Rhine in as in Rhino and Targe, like Barge but with a T.
Minihub 03-13-2008, 05:55 PM Aha. Well in that case, it seems I may need a tip or three:icon_wink

Panda 08-05-2008, 01:56 PM dude Aron you rock man, seriously. I never really looked at any of the videos before, but with my newest video a few people suggested I learn some flip tricks, and these are perfect! I didn't even know what an old school kickflip was, I watched your tricktip, went outside and 5 minutes I got the base of it down. Now just to practice it until I figure it out fully. Plus you go beyond just saying the basics, you explain it in more detail and that helps 100% better.
I watched Keiths butterflip trick tips too and I was impressed how well he explained them.
AntiHero777 08-05-2008, 02:12 PM ^Callum has a pretty good tricktip video for butterflips too.
aronsamma 08-05-2008, 02:39 PM Thanks Panda, I'm glad you like them

There's this great new site that's come out where people upload all kinds of crazy videos and you can use this unique feature called a "search bar" and type in what you're looking for so it's easy to find. It's called "Youtube".

Neo IZK 08-25-2008, 01:44 AM screw u ,man theres no good videos on youtube on how to do an ollie while moving.
If it were an uncommon hard trick I would understand, but ollies and kickflips are the two most commonly made tricktips...
As much as I hate to help you now, I went to Youtube, I typed in "How to Ollie" and these are respectively #2 and #3 of what came up. I even watched them through and they are indeed good tricktips. Skateyasha is even a member of this forum. Likewise there are tons of good kickflip tricktips. It's really quite easy only took me roughly 20 seconds to find these videos.

Edit: Oh and I just remembered something, the topic creator himself, even made this rather nice tricktip himself for kickflips a long while back but I bet you didn't even try looking...
