Ok, so you guys voted my man Tom as the September Member of the Month, and you guys waited nicely, and I can assure you - this interview is well worth the wait! Read on!
1. What made you pick up a board and decide you wanted to skateboard, what inspired you your first time to go skating?
Jelousy. If you look at my part on the meet the staff page it’ll explain in greater detail, but what made me skate was watching two lads skate at the top of my hood, I saw what they were doing and was amazed. I looked at my deck, a deck I found in a skip, with no grip, plastic trucks and plastic wheels and I thought.
“I’ll be better than um’”.
Yeah, sucks…but look where it got me yo!.

2. If you could spend one day with any skater, whether it be a professional or a member of the Café, who would it be and what would you do?
Mike, (pathtek) hands down, no second thought.
I’ve been lucky enough to session with P-Rod, Hawk, Riley Hawk, the British death team, and a few other guys….like the jart team at past points. But the people I really want to session with are you guys.
By the way, that list being read-over sounds way too good to be true, I skated with tony and riley at a demo birdhouse did, or maybe adio I forget, did at my local indoor…the works. Next I sessioned with P-Rod when he was at my local park, it’s the Sheffield part in “day in the life of P-Rod”…death team came to hyde park, the one where he skates in that dodgy suit for the day, and the jart team who are Spanish…me and some locals showed them round some spots!.
3. If it's not too personal, how's your love life? Do you have a girlfriend? If not, do you like anyone?
Yeah I got a bird mate, she’s called Abi. She’s wonderful, and a little stunner. Bless.

She’s amazing, I’m not gonna post up my feeling for her, because 1. I cant put it into words, and 2. She’ll get all emotional and embarrassed lol, bless her.
4. What are your dreams/hopes, aspirations, and inspirations in life? What gets you up in the morning, and gets you pumped to live? When you wake up in the morning, what do you wake up saying you’re going to do? What are your beliefs about religion?
Hopes/dreams:
I just want to join the police, that’s all, I mean we all have dreams like I’d love to do something that I get money for doing nothing, but facing reality I want to join the force, its my life long ambition and doing my work experience with them made me defiantly want to see it through, I may actually be attending police college in April of 07 too, that is my dream, no doubt.
Aspirations:
My mum, my dad, and my nanna, I aspire to be just like them. There way too cool to be oldies, I mean my dad he’s so chill, I can talk to him about anything, same with my mum she may only be 5” 1, but shes the strongest women I know, and my nanna…..wow, she may be 50+ but she acts like she’s 20, every opportunity I get to see her I make sure I do…I apsire to be like them, lead a good life, and be a amazing role model for the kids, because they have been to me…and the least I could do, is show the same type of caring chill love they have me, which automatically makes them my inspiration too, I love them too much for words.
What wakes me up/what gets me pumped:
Life, I love it……its life man, who couldn’t’t love it. People say life sucks, I say **** them, you been given life, the best thing to get you pumped and to wake you up, is to remember your living, and you make the day yours.
My beliefs:
Well, I was christened, went to catholic primary school, and my high school is kind of religious too….but I really don’t believe in all the stuff the bible says, I have my own beliefs, that I keep to myself, I don’t take the lies, no disrespect meant to any one who lives by the bible, if you want to take offence though, be my guest…

5. If there was one thing in your past that you would go back to erase or re-live, what would it be?
Nothing, whatever I’ve done, its always been for reason, im the type to never be shocked or hurt by what I’ve done, what’s done is done, and if someone thinks different, whatever.
6. As a brother, how would you describe our relationship, and what do you think the future will hold for us?
Love. I absolutely, positively, no doubtedly, love you with all my heart Mike. I aspire to be like you, so caring, so loving, so damn nice…so helpful, so friendly, so be-freinding…..In fact big bro, listen to this:

7. When you're in times of need or distress, do you seek the help of your friends/other people, or try to find the answers in yourself?
Nah, I’m a very self-protecting, like way too much. I have way too much self-pride to ask out for help, its sad. But that’s life.
Although there is a couple people who I can tell anything to, and they’ll help me no matter what, Mike, Christian, Tristan and my best friend D. these guys I absolutely love, and by love I mean pure with my heart you guys really don’t know how much they have done for me, helped me, and gotten me through ****. I love them for life, and a big major love goes out to Mike, just check out question 6.

No, because I’m not American, and if I was…bush can have the bullet, I’d be so kind as to let him tell me if it hurts.
9. What beats get you pumped for a good skate?
BANGING CHOOOOOOOOONZZZZ MATEEE!!!!!. Haha, sorry. The only thing I like to listen to while skating is something with bass, like pure bass and rap. Rap is the best it just is. I like a lot of rap though, and its very varied…there’s local rap, like the LS7 Battlers, those guys are like living 20 minutes away from me now and Tom Zanettei. But I also like a lot of normal, or what you Americans consider normal rap. Like XZIBIT, 50, eminem, yung joc, Gurilla black, trick trick, banks, etc. By far the best though is local and UK grime rap…like:

10. Via MSN, you told me other people deserved Member of the Month before you. Why not you?
I did!…and they do!. Well, people on this site are just disregarded because the regular members don’t know what they actually do behind the scene’s, for example my buddy BILL….every time you receive a rep point, that little box telling you about it is all down to BILL..I think its one of the best things on the café.
Then we have Tom and Dog Town…why haven’t they gotten it yet?. Seriously, you don’t need me to tell you what they do for this site.
Its not that I don’t think I don’t deserve it, but I think there’s people who deserve it a lot more than me, and should have the award before me. Remember I’ve only been here since Feb. I just think of it as unfair because the guys who worked there arse off before I got here, haven’t been awarded for it. When they really should have.
11. Are you content with your life? Do you ever wish you were someone else?
I adore my life, I wouldn’t want to be anyone else because then I wouldn’t be me. People who say they wish they were someone else I find rather piss-taking because can you imagine actually being someone other than yourself, you wouldn’t know who you are, you wouldn’t know anything about yourself…your family wouldn’t know you, so no. Although I would take pleasure in being someone else for a DAY…that would be fun, to see how they live for a day.
Now, who would I want to be?. Genghis khan if that’s how it spelt, or maybe Hitler….don’t say anything, these are two very evil minded, similar guys…I would want to see and feel what they felt…just to understand why they did what they did more.
12. What’s 9th Side Rolls? Why is it in you signature and user title?
Wow…hard question to explain there mate. Well as some of you know I’m a rapper, and have been for time. So I was thinking to myself what could be my name…cause you know, every rapper has a alter-ego. So I’m sat there thinking and im going through names in my head when I thought:
“Hmm…well, Yorkshire front always say bruv, and I always say bruv..and its west Leeds, so maybe…like, Brev!”.
If you hadn’t noticed, all I did was take one of my everyday saying, replace the “U” with the “E” from w”E”st and formed Brev!. Now for the 9th side bit.
Basically, the 9th side is a term round my area meaning something that if it wasn’t there, the thing wouldn’t’t work…like, a car without the engine wouldn’t’t work. Therefore it’s a 9th side. Now, I took this saying and made it my phrase because as vain as it sounds, I want it sound like…..without me in the rap world, it wouldn’t’t work. Although that’s stupid, I know it, you know it. I think its pretty cool….and the rollz is just added for effect. Pretty cool I think.

13. Where do you see yourself in 10 years time?
Hopefully the West Yorkshire Police. My life ambition is to be in the police as most of you know, so if that happens which im heart-set on it will, I will be where I want to be. I have actually worked with the police for a week too, and I’m hopefully starting police college in April of 07.….hopefully.
14. If you were to move to the U.S. or Canada, what about England would make you stay?
Haha…wow this question should really be pointed at my mum. We were actually going to move to America, a couple years back…twice. My dad is a perfusionist and was offered jobs in Philadelphia and cali, but we had to turn down because my mum wants to be close to her mum, and my nanna cant stand the heat. Downer. But for me….nothing would really stop me, the obviousness of missing friends and my girlfreind,other than that, nothing. I would never want to loose my accent though!.
15. How’s life in the ghetto?
Haha, sick question. Not to bad really bruv we’ve had a calm week for once. I really don’t know what to say to this question, its hard…how’s life in all ghetto’s. We have our calm periods, and our “lets Molotov this old *****es car” times (looong story), but otherwise. Not to bad. Thanks for asking?..lol.
16. If your mom called you at school, and told you that your school was on the news, and that there was a killer inside, and the killer was in the next room beside you, what would you do?
Stay where I bloody am, I wouldn’t’t try to be the hero, there’s no point, I value my life too much.
17. If you could choose to live in a world that was full of people who had no emotions, would you? Why or why not?
Defiantly not. Why would I do that?…..a world with no emotions?. That’s disgusting really, who would want that?. My answer is simple reasoned, I love my life and every feeling I get in it. I wouldn’t’t trade it for the world, a world without emotion is a world I wouldn’t want to be part of.
18. If you knew that, by being alive, you were endangering your family/friends/loved ones, would you commit suicide to save them? What would you do? Explain your reasoning please.
No, because there’s always a way to get around something without death. My view is anyone who contemplates suicide, doesn’t deserve life, if you go as far to actually kill yourself that’s different…but contemplation of it is disgusting. I would find a way to save them, and it would involve me having life too, I have too much passion for living, I wouldn’t waste my life on something that can be found a way around.
19. If you were absolutely in love, to the point you knew she was "the one," but she didn't love you, what would you do? Would you accept it, and just be happy that she can find someone who makes her happy, or would you go after her?
If she doesn’t’t love you back, then it’s a waste of time chasing. I don’t know, I’m the kind of person who gives things one try, and if they don’t work out…I don’t bother with them, I’d most likely leave it be. There’s always going to be someone else.
20. What do you think the meaning of life is?
To live it.
