Pathtek4 02-04-2007, 09:35 PM Seriously, this snow is making me mad...Its so cold, it isnt melting, which is a pain for a place for me to match this trick. Hopefully, I can get in at work tomorrow with my camera, and give it a go...If not, then I'll have to weigh my options I guess
I haven't tried this trick yet, but I know I've lost my impossible so the odds are I'm not gonna be able to get this.
Etnieskater 02-05-2007, 12:07 AM I'm still trying to land a sick straight up impossible :p even though im out, who cares!
Roboman 02-05-2007, 06:51 AM The current stats. I think I worked this out right:
- MRCK
- Uncleleo SKAT
- Supersonix6
- Pathtek4 SK
- arto-geoff SKAT
- Qtip SK
- Roboman SK
- long jetty SKATE
- Varial_222 SKATE
- Individuality Injured
- Etnieskater SKATE
These are the results from just before my set, so at least some results will change again in about 2 hours. Unless anybody can match it in that time of course.
Supersonix6 and MRCK havent got a letter yet!

I'm going to need more then 2 hours...In 2 hours, i'm going to be attempting this trick, and by the time I get home to upload it (IF I MATCH of course) it will be 1pm here. So I may need a 4 hour extension, cause I wont be online till then to tell you if I do match it. :)
Roboman 02-05-2007, 06:56 AM ^Okay, that'll be fine yeah.
Pathtek4 02-05-2007, 07:09 AM ^Okay, that'll be fine yeah.
Hug-n-Kisses for you :p. Yeah, I'm hoping my boss here at work wont have a problem with me using the stockroom as a street course on break. He shouldn't because it IS my break ya know, not like i'm getting paid to eat Raman Noodles, so might as well go skate in the basement! Thanks Roboman, with the weather (snow and bitter cold) making this GOS just as interesting as GOS5 when I froze then too..lol...I'll post ASAP to let everyone know if I do match or not :)
:icon_weir So it's my turn to set in a few hours ? Dang, I hadn't seen it coming, luckily I have a trick I filmed a week ago just in case something like that would happen because I'm not going to be able to skate today (it's raining like a pissing cow, and I have classes this afternoon), which means I'll have to take a letter on the impossible to one-footer as well. I'll go edit and upload the trick right now :)
Roboman 02-05-2007, 07:48 AM ^ Cool. I have yet to match a trick of yours, I'd like to change my track record :)
Well this is how the scores look like they will be then. I figure those who didn't match the impossible probably wont match it to one foot:
- MRCK S
- Supersonix6
- Pathtek4 SK... A? We will see...
- Qtip SKA
- Roboman SK
- long jetty SKATE
- Varial_222 SKATE
- Uncleleo SKATE
- Individuality Injured
- arto-geoff SKATE
- Etnieskater SKATE
My set is up, sigma flip (varial half flip late anticasper flip) :) I gave some tips in the GOS8 Tricks thread, have fun.
So it's pretty much a varial half flip late nollie half impossible?
Yeah, basically it's like a featherflip but you replace the first 1/2 impossible with a varial 1/2 kickflip :)
Grrr I was out today trying switch ollie fakie manual shove-its on a pad and I hit a rock and ate ground. Both my knees are swollen right now, won't try this trick for a while.
Etnieskater 02-05-2007, 06:42 PM MRCK you are a madman, someone needs to set a basic trick that is under your super flicking powers so you will be too fast to match it!
Could you done the full cab flip or a bs bigspin flip? I was contemplating setting the bigspin flip if I had matched the impossible, im just wondering.. :D
That sucks qtip, get better so you can beat them all!
aronsamma 02-05-2007, 06:55 PM MRCK posted a trick tip for cab double flips on his blog recently, so I would be willing to bet he could match the easier version.
Supersonix6 02-05-2007, 08:36 PM Sigma Flip :)
Looks interesting. I'll give it a go tonight!
Uncleleo 02-05-2007, 08:43 PM Good game guys, you're a little too good for me haha.
Pathtek4 02-05-2007, 08:44 PM Thanks for waiting me out Roboman...I didn't really have the time at work to really figure that one footed landing out, so next letter for me.
Hey MRCK, because even in slow motion, my tired eyes can't keep up with whats going on at the end of the trick. I understand the 1/2 varial flip, but after that, is it like a Haslam flip where you kick straight down, or is it your kicking continueing the varial flip direction? I can't tell
Supersonix6 02-05-2007, 08:59 PM ^^^
I think I got the understanding of it.
Its just like a feather flip like Mrck mentioned.
You do half a varial flip, so the board spins 180 and is upside down.
Then you tap the nose with your front foot, just like you would a feather flip.
Its pretty much a feather flip with instead of a half impossible, its a half varial flip.
Get it?

Ahhh, thanks man....yeah that makes a bit more sense..Guess until I saw my feet do the motion, it was tough for me to decipher. So the board will come back around then? (almost like the trick is back where it started?)
Supersonix6 02-05-2007, 09:20 PM Yep sir,
The board will come back to its original position, It's almost like a varial flip rewind :)
Etnieskater 02-05-2007, 10:25 PM MRCK posted a trick tip for cab double flips on his blog recently, so I would be willing to bet he could match the easier version.
Cab double flips in a blog? GIVE ME A LINK TO THE BLOG!!
Hahaha Roboman that was great. You should have cut back to you rolling away at the end.
aronsamma 02-06-2007, 11:13 AM http://mrck.skyblog.com/
even if you don't speak french, there are still pretty pictures. the cab double flip is at the bottom of the first page right now.
Supersonix6 02-06-2007, 02:05 PM Man did you see the height on Robomans Sigma Flip!
Damn........
Man did you see the height on Robomans Sigma Flip!
Damn........
One could think he was on a trampoline!....
Roboman 02-06-2007, 08:39 PM Well I'm having trouble with getting this trick properly. I've found if I do a shove it that goes just over 90 degrees with a half kickflip, then absolutely boot the hell out of the rear kicktail with my front foot as it comes up behind me, then the trick actually flips properly, but I have nowhere near enough time in the air.
If I could get this trick, but without using my backfoot to help the anti casper flip, would it still count?

Haha I need the opposite, I might get it using only my back foot
Roboman 02-06-2007, 10:12 PM Holy ****! Supersonix6 got it! I mean I sort of expected he would because he can Haslamflip really well, but that still blew me away.
Its one thing to do such a hard trick, but its another to learn it in one day and having no choice in the trick you've gotta do. Posi for SS6.
Supersonix6 02-06-2007, 10:22 PM Holy! Thanks Roboman.
Don't think this trick was an easy one for me because it wasn't!
But, A ton of experimenting and a couple pulled muscles later I managed to get it. Seriously though, My leg is screwed up. When you do the same motion with your legs over and over and over again................they dont take too kindly to it.....

Even though I would prefer that you would use the same technique as me and actually catch the board into a mid-air anticasper, I guess I would count it but be careful with your technique since it often results in varial half flip late half hardflips, which isn't what you want to do since it's an entirely different trick :)
Pathtek4 02-07-2007, 06:41 AM Can I use my back foot as a helper? Or is it just the front foot only that brings the board back around? I can featherflip, but I use almost all of my backfoot, rather then my front, and it can work the same as this trick.
*Frickin' snowing AGAIN today *sigh*, hopefully I can get indoors soon*
Roboman 02-07-2007, 06:44 AM ^ He says using both feet is the proper way, but at a pinch you could use mostly the back or mostly the front foot.
Trying these using more of my back foot for the anticasper makes it underflip for me.
Only a few hours left for this trick, if noone manages to match on time then the current results will look something like this :
- MRCK S
- Supersonix6
- Pathtek4 SKAT
- Qtip SKAT
- Roboman SKA
- long jetty SKATE
- Varial_222 SKATE
- Uncleleo SKATE
- Individuality Injured
- arto-geoff SKATE
- Etnieskater SKATE
And supersonix is next to set... I can't wait for his trick :)
Roboman 02-09-2007, 03:55 AM I can only flip these correctly if I dont land on them. The ones I do land on, they dont flip right... its so frustrating :) I worked out how to catch the mid air anitcasper way, but I dont have enough time in the air and I come down on the board to soon.
I'll give it a few more goes...
I think I said it before already but thinking of it as a kind of kickflip fs body varial caught between the feet helped me a lot for this trick... Don't focus too much on the first varial, keep in mind that it's all a fluid motion and let it flow, thinking of it as a something-late-something sort of trick only makes it harder than it actually is. Another piece of advice is that you might want to learn featherflips first in order to lose any subconscious fear that may distract you from getting both feet back on a sigma flip.
Pathtek4 02-09-2007, 06:36 AM I got the trick, even landed it in what I would consider it tailstop, but this weather is HURTING me so bad! There is no motivation to really stick any trick (even the ''easy'' ones) for fear of one of my toes breaking off :p. I'm at a handicap here, once again, so I guess its put up or shut up time. Time to embrace the artic air!
Roboman 02-09-2007, 07:34 AM Its midnight and I am further from getting this trick than ever. But my happiness for truly landing nollie pop shove late varial heels out-weighs that by a lot :D
Haha, I have a secret bet about what trick Supersonix6 will set net...
Supersonix6 02-09-2007, 10:03 AM Haha, I have a secret bet about what trick Supersonix6 will set net...
And what would that be :D
Haha, I'm Curious :)
But I'm going for a trick out of ordinary for me. Chances are it wont be a late flip / kiwi variation.
And I'm still sore from that sigma flip so I don't know if my legs will be able to take doing something too technical.........We'll see :)
Roboman 02-09-2007, 11:16 PM Whoa, nice set. For some reason I was expecting a nollie bigspin heel...
I've never landed these rolling, only at like 120 degree angles and stuff. Not that I've landed more than maybe 10 ever.
My shoes are busy being shoe-gooed right now, so I'll give these a go tomorrow.
Guapo 02-10-2007, 01:09 AM Hard double flip? Nice set
Ha, great set, this is probably going to be tough. I've landed a few fs double flips and I can do decent hardflips now, so I think I might be able to match, but I'm more likely to end up taking a letter. Time will tell us :)
For some reason I feel like you picked this particular trick just because you know that I haven't been able to match that hardflip in GOS7 :icon_drib Anyway if I can actually learn the trick I'd like to use for my next set, it'll probably give most of you a hard time. (... or not, but as far as I'm concerned, learning it for sure does give me a hard time :icon_haha)
Roboman 02-10-2007, 04:49 AM Still havent tried this, shoes are still goo-ing...
But why are there two versions of the "hard double flip set" on your youtube SS6? The pictures look different but I haven't really noticed much of a difference in the video...
Pathtek4 02-10-2007, 07:17 AM Double Hardflip?? I dont know if I stay in the air long enough for it to flip twice...Nice set, this could do me in.
DeadBlueSky 02-10-2007, 10:01 AM i was thinking of setting 3 different hardflip variations for my set in the "DBS" game, you've inspired me to do it next time :)

I removed one, had some troubles uploading and what not.

Dang...:)

Hahah, that might have been the case but I was expirementing with this trick a while ago so I'd figured I'd take the time to land it :)
Roboman 02-11-2007, 05:05 AM Whoa, I dont think I'll be getting these. I tried for hours today, got my double kickflips on lock again, and now my legs are practically dead.
Pathtek4 02-11-2007, 07:52 AM Yeah, me too...My legs feel like butter out of the microwave this morning. At the park last night, I was trying these off of a kicker (cause I need more height for the flip) and I was doing fairly well with them (couple of shaky landings) but I cant get the flatground double flip...frustrating.
I'm going to work on some foot positions today, and see if there is a easier one for me to use rather then just kicking my leg off in such an awkward direction
Roboman 02-11-2007, 08:02 AM ^ Front foot on the toes very close to the heelside edge, halfway or even further back toward the tail than that. Its a very out of balance stance, but its the only way I've found to get enough flip going before the nose swings in too far. I've landed maybe 3 of these at a 90 degree angle like this, just need more front shuv in there...
The main difficulty I'm having (apart from staying in the air) is that my shoulder positioning for doubleflips and hardflips are so completely different that its hard to combine the two. Still, I might hit a lucky spot... hoping hoping hoping...
Pathtek4 02-11-2007, 08:10 AM ^ Front foot on the toes very close to the heelside edge, halfway or even further back toward the tail than that
Roboman, reread that and tell me if that made any sense :p..lol, I was like ''HUH?'' :p lmao!
I see what your saying though, and yes, that will throw me completely off balance as you said about that position. The problem is, when I am not balanced correctly, I tend not to pop the board that will (or even totally missing the pop). I dont really get it, but as the years went by, my balance isnt what it used to be (and the extra 40 pounds i'm caring as well probably doesnt help)
Roboman 02-11-2007, 08:25 PM ^ Ha whoops! Thats two or three sentences I forgot to split up before I posted.
Front foot very close to the heelside edge, standing up on your toes. Have it at about halfway up the board (or even further toward the tail than that).
Thats more like it ;)

...and i thank you for the clarity! :)
This trick is next to impossible for me! The flick of the board throws the entire backfoots timing off, and I can't get the stupid board to bs shoveit correctly! Oh, the hour long frustration I went thru
I can flip it but the board goes in front of me, I guess I need to try more actively and commit a bit more :)
I've been skating handrails/boxes recently so I haven't tried the trick yet. Whens it for?
Supersonix6 02-12-2007, 07:59 PM Bah, We need someone with a Sig for this GOS. Long Jetty Seems to be out of the picture and I have no clue who's setting what and by when.
I think there may be a day left or something for this trick.
Try your best!
Roboman 02-12-2007, 08:29 PM ^ Yeah, theres 25 hours left to match this trick by. I'm pretty sure.
Bah, We need someone with a Sig for this GOS. Long Jetty Seems to be out of the picture and I have no clue who's setting what and by when.
There am I saving the world with my allmighty sig, what would humanity become without good ol' me :icon_bunc
I think I'll give this trick an actual go this evening if it doesn't rain by then, but it's all sunny outside at this moment (9:18 AM) so I think I'll be able to skate after my classes :)
Varial_222 02-13-2007, 03:20 AM at least i have my cam working for gos9 :)
Looks like the biggest battle is with mrck and supersonix.
Roboman 02-13-2007, 07:51 PM Phew... finally got it. Sorry about the darkness, but my board graphic is light so you can definately see the flipping fine. It was midnight last night when I got it and couldn't post it until this morning.
I have about 2 hours worth of attempts for this trick on film. And they were always landing too crooked or with only 1 1/2 flip. And now my board (which was in terrible condition to start with) looks like someone took a metal file to it and went berserk. :)
God that was hard. Hopefully I'll never have to do them again.
EDIT: Damn it, its been processing for like half an hour now...

Man, 2 hours straight of trying a trick is like hell! I know. Still uploading and can't wait to see :)
EDIT: Nice one! That trick looked like it took a lot out of you :D
Roboman 02-13-2007, 08:23 PM Its working now. It was very visible on my laptop screen because thats bright, but now I'm on another computer its really dark. You might need to turn your gamma up or something...
atrain 02-14-2007, 12:31 AM I've been reading through all these posts and watching the videos, you guys definitely have some sick tricks, looks like fun.... i'd love to get in on the next game
props to everyone still in, good luck
Roboman 02-14-2007, 01:00 AM Well, um, over 96 hours have passed since SS6 set the trick... does that mean its time up for this (and therefore my set)?
Varial_222 02-14-2007, 01:56 AM very nice match roboman, that is one tough trick there, +rep.
Roboman 02-14-2007, 03:15 AM Alright, I hope I haven't jumped the gun here. Pathtek4 and Q-Tip didnt match it in the four days, so it skips over to me...
And I'm behind MRCK and SS6 by a letter so I thought I'd set one of the most technical tricks I've done - 360 Triple Underflip :D
If you can 360 underflip or 360 Double UF, then try doing that but pop harder, much faster and have your toes overhanging quite a bit more. Then just reef your foot up as hard and fast as humanly possible, pulling your toes up "though" the oncoming edge of the board. The rotation takes care of itself, they nearly always land at 360 degrees. Although getting all three flips in might take some doing. They dont particularly like flipping more than 2 1/2... Good luck. ;)
Pathtek4 02-14-2007, 06:17 AM Yeah guys, i'm hanging up my gloves :p (TV Contender reference)
Good game guys, I definitly had one hell of a time trying to keep up with you guys (plus, wth, i actually have a winter here ;) lol) But seriously, it was a pleasure playing with you all, and look forward to GOS9. I'll talk to long jetty, and see what his deal is about the next game, and if he's done, then i'll take over. Either way doesnt matter. Good luck to you 3! KEEP THE PRESSURE ON EACH OTHER :)
Thanks again for a great game....
Roboman if this was a Pokémon fight I'd say you're an Electrode using the Selfdestruct attack - trying to cause the maximum amount of damage on what you think is your last turn :)
I probably won't be matching this, I have enough of a hard time doing 360 double underflips, and I'm a bit ill at the moment... But I'll have to take out the big guns for my next set :)
Varial_222 02-14-2007, 09:11 AM wow nice comparisson misterck,
I'd say you were mewtwo, the most powerful of them all :D
i sure do know my pokemon :p
Supersonix6 02-14-2007, 01:17 PM You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Roboman again.
Dang man! I should have seen it coming. I've never even done a double before! You might give me my first letter. And now Mrck is realeasing his "Big Guns"
This is gonna be a chaotic last round :(
Aww man I lost :(
Actually I'm quite glad, I've been trying to brush up on grinds and stuff, four GOS's was too much (one on another forum). Well good look to the remaining players, looks like it's gonna be crazy.
Roboman 02-14-2007, 07:13 PM Roboman if this was a Pokémon fight I'd say you're an Electrode using the Selfdestruct attack - trying to cause the maximum amount of damage on what you think is your last turn
Haha, thats exactly it. In GOS7 I went for something awkward instead of something difficult in my last set, and everyone matched it... so this time I'm detonating myself :D

Yeah, I'm imagining every set is gonna give out two letters each time, full attack mode.
Supersonix6 02-14-2007, 08:39 PM Well I gave this trick a go today and........well, I learnt 360 double underflips :D
Haha, tripples a far way off. At least I got something out of this trick :)
Roboman 02-14-2007, 09:03 PM ^ 360 double UFs are one of my favourite tricks ever. Because they are still tech, but you can still catch them quite high and clean when done right.
Roboman 02-16-2007, 07:05 AM Well I'm moving interstate on Sunday. Leaving home, moving into an apartment and all that. And I dont quite know what the deal is with the internet over there, so I might not be on here for a few days after that.
I havent even checked out if there are any decent skatespots there yet...
EDIT: I just thought - I wont have a camera! Unless my flatmate has one I might not be able to match anything, even if I can do it... I'll sort something out soon.

Well make sure to let us know how everythings going down once you get the time there man. Hopefully, if you dont have the net at the apartment, maybe a library or something is nearby :).
Do you even know the guy your staying with, or is just a random situation?
Roboman 02-16-2007, 08:23 PM ^ I dont know one of the guys, but my other flatmate is one of my friends from college. And I'm not sure whether his digicam does video or not, so yeah.
Supersonix6 02-18-2007, 03:31 PM Ahhhhhhhh!
The Epsilon flip................Waiting for the video to upload.
Gotta take a closer look at this trick. From what I heard its a Front foot feather flip. (Half front foot impossible feather flip?)
Should be interesting.........:)
Basically epsilon flips are varial half heelflip late casper flips, however don't expect too much from the one I got on film because it looks like crap, it's way too horizontal to actually look like what it's supposed to be, I would regard it as nothing more than a weird looking frontside shove-it late backside shove-it if it wasn't for the way my back foot taps the graphic side of the tail and my front foot pushes on the grip tape side to unleash the second half of the trick : http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q311/mrck41/OUTepsilonflip.gif
The footage has been processing since this morning on youtube, I guess I'll still post the link to it in the GOS8 Tricks thread, since you all know what my set is now anyway :)
Supersonix6 02-19-2007, 03:58 AM I gave this trick a go today and suprisingly I got the understanding of it! I actually got a nice half ff impossible wrap and brought it back. Hardest part is bringing it back with the back foot. I usually cant tap it properly or the board doesnt wrap correctly. I dont think I will be matching but Ill still try and maybe I will suprise myself :)
I can feel this trick already is going to be a painful one just like the sigma flip......
Roboman 02-19-2007, 04:29 AM I'm baaaaack...
Just got the internet going. Man, you should see my new apartment :)
Well, I can definately say I wont match this trick. I can't even varial heel consistently, and have never got an ff impossible to wrap. Funnily enough I have gotten soooo close to doing these nollie, can always get one foot on the board on them at least.
Props for the trick MRCK.
Supersonix6 02-22-2007, 06:11 PM Well I came very close to this trick. I find I wrap the front foot impossible too well and there's not enough time in the air to bring it back. If RoboMan doesnt match this I'll post up my set shortly :)
Roboman 02-22-2007, 09:31 PM ^ I wont match, I haven't even skated since I set the 360 triple underflip. I dont know of any half decent spots where I am now.
EDIT: I just realised that was your set... The worst part is that I have a hugely genuine shot at this pop shove 1/2 underflip late 1/2 flip, but I cant skate anymore! Not enough time, or space, or even an available camera come to think of it...
Supersonix6 02-22-2007, 09:46 PM It looks like your a very busy guy!
Well hope for the best. I know you have expirience with underflips but not having the camera / time must womp!
I think I can match this :) I gave this trick a few tries months ago and I could occasionally land it, I never successfully rolled away from it though. I guess this is the opportunity to get back at it and get a clean one ;) And if I match it then both supersonix and me will find ourselves with three letters if I can make it to my next set and set a trick he doesn't match :icon_woow
DeadBlueSky 02-23-2007, 05:28 AM this trick isn't that hard, but SS6' is the first one i have seen aside from my own, they are alot of fun and are always good to do high :)
its weird to see a trick i invented a couple of years ago being learned by others
Varial_222 02-23-2007, 05:41 AM that trick is gnarly, i was trying these a couple of days ago, i got pretty close but i need to pop my shove it higher because the half flip basically just rolled along the ground until is collides with my shin.
DeadBlueSky 02-23-2007, 05:49 AM its annoying for me because i learned them with full flips both ways, but the contact required for that is very fine, so i tend to settle for 1/2 and 1/2 flips
as a rule i don't go for 1/2 and 1/2 tricks, but this one still feels nice to land
Roboman 02-24-2007, 08:13 PM I wont have any time to even attempt this, or a camera to film it (my flatmate has it and he's gone away for the next couple days). Good game guys, you can expect the GOS video soon after the games over... :)

You put up a good run, congrats to your amazing job and effort put into this game roboman!
Sev7n 02-24-2007, 10:07 PM Definitely agreed with SK, Roboman pwns {b)
Supersonix6 02-25-2007, 12:41 AM I wont have any time to even attempt this, or a camera to film it (my flatmate has it and he's gone away for the next couple days). Good game guys, you can expect the GOS video soon after the games over... :)
Man that sucks. Let me know how you are doing with this trick though.
This Game of Skate so far has been a memorable one and It was great playing with you. Can't wait for the video :)
How much time do I have left ? I was on a trip yesterday (I skated with the guys who have a youtube account called 'youpyoup', I know that some people on this forum watch their vids :)), skated for about 8 hours straight but didn't even try the trick, and now my legs are completely sore.
EDIT - nevermind the deadline is mentioned in my own sig.... I feel stupid.
Sev7n 02-25-2007, 11:15 AM Haha, good job MrCK. How was it skating was them?
Haha, good job MrCK. How was it skating was them?
Pretty damn awesome I must say, we even managed to get some footage, nothing too extravagant yet I'll still edit everything together into a short montage and upload it onto my Youtube account tonight :)

Man skating for 8 hours straight would take the toll on your legs!
I'd love to skate with that "youpyoup" guy. He's got Backfoot flips dialed in!
Supersonix6 02-26-2007, 07:24 PM Times Up!
I was hoping you'd get it Roboman but I can see you have a lot of "distractions" in life right now :D It was an awesome time playing with you.
And then there was Two :icon_drib
Time to pull out the big Guns Mrck
Your set :icon_2gun
REPTAR 02-26-2007, 07:29 PM doesnt roboman only have SKAT tho?
Supersonix6 02-26-2007, 07:50 PM ^^
He did have SKAT but failure to match this trick would give him SKATE.
Roboman 02-26-2007, 08:04 PM Good game. I still havent skated. Its been like 1 1/2 weeks now, just about the longest break from skating I've ever had since I've started. Someone told me there is a skatepark in Prahan though, so I might just be able to keep skating somewhere for now :D
MRCK SKAT
Supersonix6 SK
I hadn't seen my set coming (as usual) and I'm obviously going to lose this game so I might as well set a fun trick which shouldn't be too hard to learn (just like the plasma spin I set on my first turn). It's raining like a pissing cow here at the moment but I'm sure I have a few recent tricks on my computer I had filmed in advance just in case the weather would prevent me from filming during my set time :)
Roboman 02-27-2007, 07:04 AM ^ You should set a pressure kickflip late front foot impossible...
^ You should set a pressure kickflip late front foot impossible...
Hehe thanks for the idea, however I don't think I will since it would be pretty mean from me since I know SS6 can't do regular stance front foot impossibles, I'm going to lose this game anyway so instead of going for the kill I'll just set tricks that are fun to practice without being overwhelmingly hard until I'm out. I've pretty much lost these pressure flip late front foot impossibles anyway, I should work on getting them back because they're a cool looking trick, here's an old crappy one if you wonder how they look : http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q311/mrck41/heelsidepressurefliplatefrontfootim.gif :)
Anyway my set is up, it's a nollie... thing. I would have liked to set a switch fs big spin late heelflip but it's raining like mad and that was the only recent clip with the GOS8 handsign I had on my computer. They're impressive yet not out of reach, just awkward, SS6 will probably be able to match.
SS6 I would recommend you write the name of this trick down on a paper.
Supersonix6 02-27-2007, 03:12 PM I actually have zip expirience for nollie pressure tricks. This one may be a doozie. I was actually going to set a trick similar to this. Fakie pressure flip body varial pivit. Looks almost identical minus the half flip.
I would almost rather take the switch bigspin late heel. I was tryin those a while ago and there in my reach. I'll give this nollie half pressure, half bf flip, body varial pivit a go ( I think thats it :)) . Don't expect anything though. I'm starting from scratch with my nollie pressure flips.
Btw, Mrck, I finally got my switch 360 kiwiflips :D
Hurray! :)
Also Mrck dont give up hope yet. Like you said in DBS's Game of skate, It aint over till its over Don't asume a loss just yet. You may be able to match all my upcoming tricks so dont give up! Heck, what If I got hit by a bus and couldnt finish the game ( Dont get any ideas ) There still is a chance.
Supersonix6 03-01-2007, 05:37 PM Ahhh, this trick feels so simple yet my nollie pressure flips arn't allowing me to land them! I actually landed a the nollie half pressure, body varial, late half bf pressure flip without the pivit so I'm sure if I took my time to learn proper nollie pressure flips I could of had this easily. With less than 2 hours left, I guess I'll take a letter. My set and "The Possible Finisher" will be up shortly :icon_drib
Gazelle underflip ? ... Of course ! :icon_haha
Friggin' amazing set man, I would have given you rep but the site won't let me, I have to spread some around first... I may have a chance to match, I've never tried this trick before but I can nollie 360 shove-it underflip and siyoun spin, I guess a mix of both will do... Anyway, wow, now that would be an epic ender if I fail to match ! :icon_woow
I won't be at home this week-end by the way, so I'd like to have a short extension, except maybe for an hour or two this afternoon after my classes if the weather lets me I'm not going to be able to skate until monday... May I get a few more days ?
Anyway wish me luck !
Supersonix6 03-02-2007, 09:53 AM Ya man, take a couple days.
I actually found this trick a ton easier to learn than siyoun spins so you should be able to get a feel for it.
Good luck man.
I edited my sig, I'll be back from my trip on sunday evening therefore my next session isn't going to happen sooner than on Monday 5th, that's why I postponed my allowed match time so I have from Monday morning to Thursday evening to get the trick on film (which makes the usual four days), does it sound fair enough ?
Roboman 03-02-2007, 12:01 PM Hey... Mullen does the underflip with the popping foot rather than the trailing foot... it looks like you are doing it in the more difficult way.
Varial_222 03-02-2007, 12:49 PM ^^ Lol i thought that too, but i thought if i said it and was wrong i'd look like a fool

How on earth would you do it with your popping foot?
How on earth would you do it with your popping foot?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fQ6A7zG59n4 like this :)
Just like a siyoun spin except that you flip the board over using your front foot toes instead of your heel.

Roboman 03-02-2007, 06:41 PM How on earth would you do it with your popping foot?
Underflips are nearly always easier with the popping foot because it gives you a chance to get your foot under the board.
Supersonix6 03-02-2007, 07:34 PM Man I had no Idea Mullen did it with his popping foot. My method seems to work just as well but I guess there is a difference. Either way there is still an underflip envolved.
And Mrck, everything sounds fair. 4 days to match.

I prefer your way of doing it because the board flips kickflip rotation instead of heelflip (like mullens), and I think it looks better like that.
I gave this a try yesterday for like about 15 minutes, and I can flip / spin it fine, I got really close to landing it and getting it on film :) I had to end my skate session because of a nasty fall on my left hip though, which is still a bit swollen at the moment and I can barely walk, hopefully it will be fully healed before my time's over, because I'm definitely able to match this.
Ooooh. I wasn't calculating the fact that you are spinning as well as the board. I really hope MRCK matches this, I want to see you guys bust out more amazing tricks.

Not too many more, the GOS8 vid is already 5 minutes long, and its all cut at about double the pace of the GOS7 video.
It would be great to see MRCK match this though, the last 4 tricks all went unmatched, and its starting to get monotonous. :)
By the way MRCK, your front foot featherflip looks way more like a frontside shove it late backside shove it, considering it didn't really invert at all. I dont mean to take away from the trick, I actually prefer the look of f/s shuv late b/s shuvs, but which name would you prefer show up in the video for that trick?

MRCK flip :D. Off topic but I find it funny that the only people awake at the same time as I am are australians.

I noticed that too. Im sure he was just rushed and couldnt get a proper one on film. I was going about at this trick as a front foot feather flip so my technique was totally different from a fs shuvit late bs shuvit. Either way it doesnt matter now. I still want to get a proper front foot feather flip on film..
Roboman 03-07-2007, 03:23 AM ^ Maybe MRCK could even film a better one for me? :D hint hint
Its no biggie. It still fits in with the game fine, but like the last thing I want is for people to get into an argument over a trick name when I release the video.
Yeah.

Yeah.
I know where you're coming from, so yeah just call it a fs shove-it late bs shove-it in the video unless I manage to get a better one on film for you :)
And about that trick, I think I could match it, I'm still recovering from my injured hip, but I should be able to skate tommorow and hopefully learn the trick and get it on film.
Pathtek4 03-08-2007, 07:12 AM I can't believe this game is coming to an end soon (not saying MRCK isn't going to match it or anything), but MAN, this has been entertaining to say the least! WOW!
Since I believe long jetty is basically ''away from the site'' for a while (havent seen in except for a few moments here and there) I may have to take GOS9, so once this ends, the signups will be soon afterwards...
OK so I HAVE to match this this afternoon in order not to be taken out, my hip fells better now, time to grab my board, go outside and give everything I can... :) Man what a thrill, I'm loving it ! :icon_drib Regardless how things will turn out, I loved playing this game !

Definately. Its been awesome fun. I'm gonna have a chat to the guys at the local skateshop to see whether they know anywhere nearby thats cool to skate at, as well as buying a camera so on the off-chance I can actually be in the next game...
Anyway, the GOS8 video is very close to completion, I'm actually gonna run out of song soon. It'd be cool to see you and SS6 have a "SKAT" fight to the death. :)
It would have been cool indeed... But it's not going to happen this time ;) I didn't manage to match this afternoon, I landed a bunch of nollie big spin back foot underflips by mistake, as well as quite a lot of nollie gazelle back foot 1/2 underflips (on the graphic side of the deck), and some underrotated ones (such as this one : http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q311/mrck41/gazellebackfootunderflip.gif), but nothing good enough to count. I think could have matched if I had tried more actively, but I thought I'd learn triple flips instead :icon_love
So this makes supersonix6 the new champ !! :icon_hug: :icon_woow Congrats man, I had a bunch of fun playing, so thanks, and thanks to all the other players too :)
Oh, and be sure to reserve me a spot in GOS9 :) I still have a lot of obscure tricks to make you try :icon_haha
This was a fun experience and now I can't wait to see the GOS8 vid !
REPTAR 03-08-2007, 05:20 PM damn MRCK you almost had it i wouldve loved to see you match and set one of your crazy tricks lol i can' wait until the GOS8 video comes out!!!

Hot Damn that was close! You definatly got the technique down!
Well this game was definatly a show for all the viewers out there. I think we all stepped up the trick list from previously Games of Skate. I learnt a ton of tricks from this game thats for sure! I can't wait to see the Gos8 video + finally the snow is melting :icon_woow I actually got to skate on cement today :)
Great game and it was blast playing with you guys :icon_hug:

I've had an idea... can you send me the video of you landing that under-rotated gazelle BFUF? Like put it on youtube temporarily or send it to damaniac88@hotmail.com? That would be cool.
Anyway, +reps for SS6 for the win.
REPTAR 03-08-2007, 08:58 PM Roboman if your vid for this GOS is even half as sick as the last one then your definatly getting rep lol :)
Etnieskater 03-08-2007, 09:19 PM congratulations SS6!! Wish I could of landed that Impossible to get farther in the game, but I wouldn't of made it nearly as far as the next trick up :p +rep FTW
time to get the man a GOS Award

Pathtek4 03-09-2007, 07:16 AM Congrats to SS6 for winning GOS8, and to MRCK for the second place as well!
I think rep is in order from everyone from both these guys, definitly hardcore hardworkers! Rip it up gentlemen, GOS9 will be starting soon enough!!
When's GOS9 gonna start? Is LJ going to be hosting it?
Pathtek4 03-12-2007, 09:35 PM When's GOS9 gonna start? Is LJ going to be hosting it?
Doesnt look like LJ will be, so I was his backup for when he went into the mountains, and will be running the GOS till he gets back.
GOS9 signups will more then likely be mid-week (Wednesday), so look for it then.
(I've been trying to give everyone who isnt playing in another game time to cool down a bit and get ready)

I hope I catch the sign up thread in time, I'm really looking forward to playing.
Roboman 03-13-2007, 12:25 AM I have the biggest dilemma here... I can borrow a mates camera now he has one, and I have found a truly awesome place to skate, but I can only really skate there at 1 in the morning...
But I dont know if I should sign up, I dont have much time anymore to skate.

Why can you only skate there at 1 in the morning? I would sign up if I were you, better to sign up and not be able to match a few tricks than to not sign up and wish you had.
