got any idea what tricks you will be using warcatz from what ive heard your a fairly good skater, how long has everyone in this game been skating for. for me its about 8 months i think or maybe a tiny bit longer but im unsure

Well if switch tricks aren't allowed then I suppose the same trick nollie would be frowned upon? Mmm.. Is it just switch flips you guys say is gone to far or are the switch 180s and shuvs? A switch shov is less difficult that a regular flip and a switch 180 isn't much over that.
Do we have guidelines? I already had a fairly difficult line filmed and since you Fellahs' say switch flips are to hard well... Each of these trick(with he exception of 1) has a way greater difficulty than a switch flip..

Other switch stuff, such as, no complies, shove its, 180s, boneless', and others are good, but switch flips are what are in the regular DBSGOS. So I wouldn't really know.

Yeah Switch/Nollie Basics are aloud (180, shuv it, big spin, etc.) but I belive no flips.

im just starting to get my switch basics down now, i can switch 180 , switch shove it fs and backside and i can nearly switch heel i find these easier than normall heels for some damm weird reason

Yeah. Once a trick has been used, it can't be set any more. As for the switch trick question (and for all tricks in general), use your best judgement. If you feel you are much better than the comeptition, you can hold back at least until some of the weaker competiters are gone. Again, use your best judgement for your tricks. Honestly, there is no guidelines for trick usage. The thing is, this is beginner so use beginner tricks. Also, I'm really sorry about you camera varial. I was hoping we could play more : \ but whatever, maybe some other time huh?

if they're really begginers, they would do begginer tricks from the start. not hold off till the end.

People may be good at different types of tricks, which may be harder for other people, it doesn't mean they're not beginner. For example, I can switch heelflip but I can't normal heelflip (Not often). So a trick that is easy for someone could be the hardest trick for another person, doesn't mean they shouldn't set it if a few people can't match, the whole point of SKATE is do give people letters, not set tricks that everyone can match. Everyone in this game are beginners...

By the way, how long do I have to set? You've probably said it 100 times but I was concerntrating on BBGOS mainly and now that that's finished I can give this my full attention.

Edit: My set wont be as hard as I first intended so don't worry too much. I read what Persondude said about not going all out in first set, I think he's right. I probably wouldn't have been able to set it anyway, in the set time.

Sorry guys, it's rained every day since I entered this game... I'm probably going to have to clear some space in my garage and do it in seperare runs. Right, I've filmed it. The backside flip's hideously under-rotated, but i've seen similar be accepted so I think I should be alright. I'm in frame for all of it too, which is good... the only problem is that I don't have a firewire port like I thought I did. The camera's got a connection for a USB plug, but when I connect it like that, nothing happens... Any ideas?

Edit: My match is up, hope it's alright. I forgot about the hand sign as when I turned around to come back again, I noticed a massive van coming down the road and was concerned about picking up the camera in time. I'm sure you'll appreciate it's very unlikely for a freestyle such as myself to have an exact match of a three trick line including ollies (or at least a pop) in every trick, but if you need it re-filming with the hand sign then I understand.

I can only comment at face value. The only thing I was given was that there was only an hour to film the three tricks, and I stand by my previous statement - that's plenty of time.

Had I have known 'the whole story' then I wouldn't have said anything, but because, as 'Warcatz' pointed out, 'you really don't know what was going on', I couldn't have commented on anything else, unless someone would like to inform me of 'what was going on'. The fact that I seem to be being confronted on a comment like that is absurd!

When you do a Fakie Kickflip, you're supposed to roll away fakie. That's what makes it a fakie kickflip. Doing the trick stopping and pivoting the other way isn't considered doing the trick..

It was under rotated and he also did not roll away. To be honest if I were to see that done without the label on it I would have called it a fs shov with some type of late revert..

I'm going to have to agree with Sq on both the datman and skatinkrazy matters. Sorry skatinkrazy. I really feel for you as you had basicly 0 room. If it was just a little sketchy I'd allow it, but that thing was to tail...and you stayed in tail for a long while. I've never seen the phrase "Let it slide" used in this situation. I took as you're letting us get away with not letting you have the extension. Usually I'll see it used as, "Okey, your set wasn't all that great but I'll let it slide".. Yeh know?

How "Difficult" are Tres, Hardflips, bs 360's, fs flips and bs flips for you guys?
I've always had a certain trick on lock that everyone though was very difficult, so my personal opinion would be Semi-distorted in this situation..

Varials, BS Flips, half cba flips, maybe a FS Flip, kickflip, heelflip, all of that stuff fakei, stuff in that range. You know? It may be harder or easier to some others.

Tre's and hards I can do, as well as f/s flips. I'm working on b/s flips but can only do bs 360 if I 180 and pivot it.

Does that mean you can't double kickflip? :D

My line did have a double kickflip in it, but that was the only hard trick.

Yay finally teh sets up. This is going to really test me seeing as I've only really landed on real clean casperflip ever. And I landed it yesterday, I'm too scared to go outside and see if I can do them still, or if I've lost them :). Awesome set too man.

It is a half kickflip, so it flips and lands on your front foot upside down, then you kick the board back so it does a pop shove it type thing.

I'll give it a go, I have never even heard of these before so this is pretty unkown to me. But I'll see what I can do.

It's super sketchy on the reggy casper flip but I learned them before so not too tough.
Also.
Casper flip is basically a half of a kickflip late shove it, your foot does a bit of a u-turn over the front bolts. You should already have shoves and kickflips down pat, once you do, you can try these. It's all in your front foot. Your front foot flips the kickflip but then brings it back around soon as you see the graphic. I've found a good trick tip for them, look http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yyhjWrsE8n0 there.

There are two ways of doing a hospital flip, the vertical way and the horizontal way. I do my hospital flips the vertical way but I think it's better to learn them the horizontal way for alpha flips : here's a clip of a friend of mine doing an horizontal hospital flip : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DO21z4nGlIM

Basically you have to set your feet, shoulders, everything, then pop exatly the way you would for a plain kickflip. You really have to think of the trick as a kickflip until the board starts to flip over. That's when you have to stop the flick of your front ankle so the griptape comes in contact with your front foot toes - then you have to use your whole front leg to quickly swing the nose backside in a sort of semi vertical late shove-it motion, while keeping your front foot ankle stiff during the operation so the board doesn't flip over by accident. Land just like you would land a regular kickflip or shove-it, and voilà !

You can also think of the trick as a pop shove-it with a slight extra flick of he front foot ankle engendering the wrap but I wouldn't recommand that because this technique often results in awkward looking pop shove-its I wouldn't count as a hospital flip in a GOS.

I've always took it as a hospital flip being the 90 degree kick and then the drag and a Casper flip being 180 of the kick(putting you in the casper position) and then the drag..

well, a hospital flip is a frontfooted casper flip (like the ones in the set), and a casper flip is when you use your back foot to push the tail around, as if you're doing a half flip to casper shove it out all in midair.

hold down control and drag the edge out to the desired length. you'll probably want to right click on the audio and change it so that the pitch is lowered appropriately, but I can't tell you how to do that unless I know which version you have.

So I wasn't even going to attempt these but I went out and tried them just because and I was coming much closer than I though I would. So here are my problems: Front foot landing only and a front foot varial flip type thing. Any tips? I had a video but my camera was zoomed in and missed everything so I'll try and get that again.

Today's my first day skating for the past few days aside from yesterday as well.. so I'm not surprised, I only filmed the match yesterday then did like.. 3 heelflips and went in.

what the hell where those. definitly doesnt count i think your first match was better than your rematch and that stil doesnt count and that last casper flip in your rematch was verry underotated and you didnt roll away

so basically casper flips is you do about half a half a kickflip, and with your foot, wing it over like a shove it and land.

I had a go at them today (first dry day since the set) and they just do varial flips. I'll try some more tomorrow, but I'll probably be taking a letter on this one.

I meant the set but I was really pissed off yesterday.. some stuff is going on between my parents and they blame me for most everything so.. yeah. And obviously, I get super mad at myself when I don't match it right. Twice.

for those of you varial flipping dont flick your foot completely out and kinda bring it back aroudn quicker, see if that helps

I had the varial problem but I solved it today by moving my foot back more. I can pretty much land perfect casper flips consistently, except for the fact that my back foot never lands on the board.

Casperflips are really weird because you don't know if you did it correctly until you rewatch it on the computer, well that's me anyway, I get down the the last trick and it turns into a pop shuvit lmao... Today I will match though.

If he had the biggest say in weather it counts or not, he could just tell you your every attempt was faulty. Thus' causing no one to match..

Confidence, I like that. After watching BGOS4 pretty much all the way through I know that you have ALOT up your sleeve, that's why your one of the biggest threats in this GOS (IMO) ;).
