Ok so the game is on then! The sign-up thread will be closed soon as the sign-ups have ended! The game has started! This thread will be for discussion, questions and anything else to do with the game of skate. When I record my set tomorrow, I will create a new thread where we can post the trick videos.

So here is some information about setting order and the rules again!

Ok so each member has 72 hours from the end of the last set, to set. Once the first person sets his trick, the other members will match that, then once the members hve matched or passed, the next person to set will have three days to set. If not, they get a letter of the word SKATE.

The setting order was first come, first served, so here it is:

1. Fliptastic
2. zeroNYskater
3. lazerflip
4. persondude
5. Pearso
6. infernomax
7. Sev7n
8. midjit skater

Ok so here are the rules, with a few additions to make them more concise and to prevent cheating!

The Holy Rules Of Alternative Air

1. Obvious. NO OLLIES!

2. Though there are no ollies, this does not make i freestyle. Idon't want any truckstands or any other freestyle moves. Each trick must incorporate either a No Comply, Boneless or Caveman.

3. If you use caveman, it must be the starting trick. You cannot bail and say you did the trick but did a caveman at the end. Cause that's just cheating.

4. Tricks can be done stationary or rolling. If the trick set is rolling then match it rolling. If it's stationary, match it stationary!

5. The Handsign. Why the metal fingers of course! If you don't know what that is they are also known as:
Devil Fingers
Sign Of Satan
Rock Fingers.
Its when you make a fist shape, but leave your index and little fingers pointing up. Like this:

Show this handsign at the end of your trick, to prove that it was filmed for this Game of Skate, and is you skating.

6. No setting a trick someone has already set! If someone sets lets say a Caveman Varial Fingerflip, no one else can set that trick. But somone else can set another trick using the caveman manouvre, or another trick using a varial fingerflip, such as a Boneless Varial Fingerflip.

7. Toe drag and heel drag are allowed wit reason. I don't want like 10% of your feet actually landing on the board. It's gota be fair!

8. Absolutely NO landing tricks in tail or nose stops! NO! NONE WHATSOEVER! This makes tricks easier and sometimes people can only do the trick by doing this. SO NO!

9. No tricks done over gaps, onto rails or anythin like it. Not everyone has the equipment or thelocations to pull these tricks, so I want tricks done on open, flat space! No banks, ramps, rails, ledges etc.!

10. You MUST do something with the alternative air. You are not allowed to just do a boneless, you must do something with it. Even if it is just a 180 Boneless, make sre you do something with it!

11. ABSOULTELY NO MANUALS WHATSOEVER! These cause so much problem. No starting tricks from a manual, or incorporating manuals whatsoever! If you break this rule, you must do a re-set. If you can't manage it in the set time, then you get a letter. Simple as that. THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULD FOLLOW RULES!

12. I want to see NO other methods of getting air other than Caveman, Boneless(not the lip trick, the jump trick) and No Comply. If you set a trick with another way of getting air, you must do a re-set.

Sorry if the rules are long and strict but it must be enforced.

If this game works out well, I may make an AAGoS2! So let's make it fun! That's what skating is about!

Haha same. Caveman tricks were the first tricks I learned, haven't done em in a while I reckon a bit of practice and I coul get into it again. Bonelesses are my favourite trick in the world. I must have done EVERY kind of hand flip and grab from boneless haha, and some underflips. AMAZING TRICK THE BONELESS IS!

I just started getting into No Complys, i've got some sweet flip tricks down with it, No Comply Hardflips, No Comply 1/2 Impossible 1/2 Late Underflips etc. Wicked fun!

A casterial is a bs shuv it and a fs body varial. Just add bs pivot and you've got a match!

Calasterial is a 180 and a 180 body varial in the opposite direction, so do a no comply 180 and spin your body the other way when you do it...

i have BS no compy shove its, so i should be okay. just a bit of practice.

Ehh, it wasn't the best revert was it? lol.... the reason it was so horrible, is because it was heaps hot outside, and I didn't expect to even land the no comply part, and when I did it shocked me lol.. Hmm, late reverts have been accepted in other games, but I'll leave this one up to persondude, it's his choice.

I think the whole toughness of the trick is pivoting the revert from the land. Honestly, I would say your revert was too late Pearso. However, this is Fliptastic's GOS and his rules of what matches count and which don't, so I will pass the baton on to him.

Ok, well I have gone out and re done it anyway. I'm uploading now, I don't land into the pivot, like land without the front wheels touching the ground, but as soon as I land on the board I do the pivot... it's kind of hard to explain. Have a look when I post them up.

Nah it's not as hard as a no comply 180. What you do is plant your foot down, whack the tail of the board so it spins 180, and jump and d a body varial the other way. Then land, and revert it.

I'm SO annoyed. I was shattered but I still went out and filmed a couple of matches. I came back inside, checked them, ad realised I forgot to do the handsign!

I wish I could do this game but I can't no comply and it ahs hurt me to boneless since I knocked my thumb out of place. And in alternative airs you forgot beanplants, although they are hard as ****.

I don't know if I can count yours either flip. Your casterial was good, but then the revert was late AND done with the tail (i think). You also stepped off your board after almost no rideaway...I request a rematch.

Come on guys, it's not that hard trick :P. Just keep practising getting you revert quicker and quicker until you think it's perfect, then film.

Ahh I'm having trouble aswell. I can't take off quickly, I always have to stall on my foot for a while to turn around.

I'll go out and film it today. I find it easy cause it's a boneless and i've pretty much dedicated the last 3 months of my skating to the boneless. I love it. Though I'd never previously tried this trick fakie, I tried yesterday and managed it 70% of the time.

Umm, can I just ask what the hell that trick was?? :P Honestly, no offence but the camera quality was horribly so I couldnt see what happened. What exactly do you do?

Yeah the camera quality is crappy. As it gets darker, the quality gets worse. I may film it again today. But in the meantime, what I did was a trick called a Boneless to Variflex Aerial to Triple Fingerflip.

Do a Boneless then:

The Variflex Aerial is the confusing part. Basically a variflex aerial is when you grab the board with your front hand, on the side closest you your heels. While in the air, spin the board around in a shove it motion, but with your hand, and dont let go of it! You should be holding the board in a mute grab now. The you pull your hand up to do the triple fingerflip. Then land.

Cool, so when you boneless do you pick it straight up with your front hand, or as normal with back hand and then swap to front?

Pick it up like a normal boneless, then swap hands in the air. This is a tough trick. I would recommend learning to Boneless Variflex Aerial first, not that hard in essence. The fingerflip is the hard bit. And getting enough air time.

Well the story behind it is this. I love Boneless to Grab tricks, and that happens to be my favourite grab, the variflex aerial. Then I was watching Tony Hawk on TV and he often does fingerflips to grabs and grabs to fingerflips, so I decided I'd try it. So I tried it with a fingerflip. Too easy. Tried it double fingerflip. Meh. Then triple fingerflip, and I knew it would be the perfect set.

I'm also a big fan of Tech Fingerflips. Like MRCK is a fan of tech flips, i'm a fan of Tech Fingerflips!

A tip, learn it just as a Boneless to Varilex Aerial first. The try it with a fingerflip. THen a double fingerflip. Then triple!

I almost snapped my deck, i definitely weakened it, after i match i was filming a set for AAGOS and i got the flukiest awesome trick, and i looked at my cam and it was out of recording time, made me so angry...

Cool, that trick was harder then I thought it would be, I had trouble getting the board to stay with me when I flipped it back over. I'll try and get a set in the next couple of days.

2. Is it really neccessary to have a beginners game? To be honest there aren't really any advanced alternative air tricks, it just depends on your strengths...
3. If there is a beginner one, can we just leave the "pro" one to AAGOS? All the unnesessary letters can make it confusing :D.
4. And it should be PAAGOS2 or AAGOS2, can't forget this game :D

2. Advanced= no comply pressure hardflip
Beginner= Boneless 180
3. the letters make it clearer for beginner and pro.
4. this game is just sort of an expirement game this is basically AAGOS-0
so next time will be BAAGOS1 and PAAGOS2

Err my match and set is up. I've matched yours and I've set mine. AND MAKE SURE YOU DO IT BACKSIDE NOT FRONTSIDE! It's harder that way lol =)

Umm, nice set and match flip, just a question with your set, I only saw a Nosegrab boneless BS 180 rewind, what is with this "one footed-backfoot nosegrab to rewind" part?

Yeah I thought that might confuse you. Basically with the nosegrabboneless part, instead of grabbing the side to boneless, you grab the nose. And the confusing part you don't understand is basically where I don't put my front foot back on in the air. I do the trick with no front foot on until the board is on the ground which is when I put it on.

In a normal Boneless, you will do the jump then put your foot back on in mid-air, where as this one is a weird grab where the front foot is not on for the entire spin.

Haha sup guys. I think im gonna join the next AAGOS (assuming there is one). The only thing is most of the old skool stuff i do incorporates ledges and walls and i think thats against the rules.

Oh and if i join next one, prepare for me complaining about people stepping off of their board and standing there doing a trick instead of springing up with their foot lol.

EDIT: Ok buddy, well I know you havent really been on lately much, you haven't even posted about getting the letter, but just so you know when you come back, I took a concussion from rugby yesterday and I'm not allowed to skate for a week, so once you get your set up... hopefully in the next 2 days (that's all the time you have left) would it be cool to get an extension till whenever that week time period is up? Thanks alot man.

EDIT EDIT: Ok dude, well what's going on? :P You're on SKA and you've got less than 24 hours to set! If you have to take a letter on this one, then I'll put the game on hold till I've passed that week and I'm allowed to skate again, incase you've been banned from the computer or something, and wait till you reply. If you don't reply till that week period is up, well then I'll just put up my set and if you don't get back to me well then I'll play it out till I win legit from you taking letters.

OMFG woops, sorry but I just haven't been able to skate. I've had the flu and still do. I might be able to set tomorrow I hope. Sorry for any inconvenience caused man!

lol man, usually with this lead I would write you off, but man every letter you have taken has been because you haven't been able to get it up, not the fact that you couldn't do the trick. I would be happy to stand up and organise the next one, however I'm already running BBGOS3, and running one game is hard enough.
