Ok guys here is the discussion thread. No posts in the trick thread except for your sets and matches, discussion goes here! Ok as promised I will post the rules here.

1. you have 3 days to set
2. you have 3 days to match
3. Flat ground only, no obstacles or curbs etc.
4. Heel touch and toe touch allowed, but not so much that you can't keep rolling with it.
5. Hand sign is thumbs up (can be one hand only)
6. You must be rolling on your trick, doesn't matter how fast/slow, and you must at roll for at least 3 seconds, tick tack allowed, but not if it is to get you moving from a still point.
7. No manuals. We had these in last game and they cause arguments.
8. Tricks can not be landed in tail stop (or nose stall)

9. Leniency on tricks: In the last game, there was a big debate about the tricks being too hard, or asking to step the game up a level. I have decided to run this game on a system that will bring the game to a higher level as more people get eliminated. Here it is:
6-8 People left: Basic tricks, only flip tricks are heel flips and kickflip, can be normal or fakie but no other variations (e.g varial flip) except from landing variations, like X foot and Kickflip sex change. Shuv its, body varials and 180 ollies are allowed, bonelesses and cavemans allowed, but a max of 2 steps for cavemans. No nollie or switch tricks.
4-5 People left: Basic variations of flips tricks allowed, e.g 180 flips and varial flips. All other tricks mentioned before allowed. Still no nollie or switch tricks
2-3 People left: Nollie and switch tricks allowed, all other tricks mentioned before allowed.

*Sorry if this may sound a bit confusing, but I want to sort out this problem before it grows.


10. Official time of game is "GST". This is the international date line, so it is in between all countries, giving every one a fair go. Last game people had less/more time depending on their timezone. Please find out how early or late you have to have your match/set up by before the game starts to stop confusion. If you want, you can set your skaterscafe time to this to make it easier.

Ok guys before we start, I would like everyone to know how many hours ahead or behind you have to match and set. E.g for me, it's -10 hours. So if I were to have my set up by Friday the 12th, at 10am, I would have to have it up by 8pm on Friday the 12th. Everyone understand? Cool.
Also, as spoken about before, I will change the set and match times to 3 days each, I know people have different opinions, but 3 for each seems to be in the middle.

Skatinkrazy, go to options in User CP and see what Timezone you are in, it will say something with + or - in it. Say you are -3 then you have to have your match or set up three hours before your time gets there, because thats the official time of the game.

Yeah really, it's just not worth it. I always try to get my sets/matches at least a day before the time. I'm not saying it's not a good thing to know, because you never know what's going on, but I don't think it's too big a deal.

Alright my match is up. For anyone who's having problems with this (like I was), remember to concentrate on the board and don't pop too high. I went out and practiced fakie pops before going and then tried to mix in the fs body varial. It took me a good half hour to realize I was popping it to hard. Then I stuck it and it took another half an hour to not land with my toes on the ground.

Adding body varials is really hard for me, except in no comply casterials (check my AAGOS set!). Sex changes, casterials, and bigspins are near impossible for me. I can do them, just with inconstancy. If you threw that trick at me in a real game of skate I'd have S.

This is a great point max, I gave LEC an extension because technically, he has given his match to us, he is just doing this to prove that little extra bit that he did it, and to erase any doubt, if there is any, that he didn't do the trick. Extensions aren't just because you have a common interference like school, there was 3 days to get the match in, I agree with persondude and zeroNYskater when they try to get there matches in A.S.A.P, because they don't have to fiddle around with this stuff. There is still 10 and a half hours left to get your matches up, if it is not up by the time tommorow, then a letter will be given. Sorry I have to be so strict on this, but three days is plenty.

Oh, and skatinkrazy, on your match, like max said you only went 90, pivoted the wrong way, and you didn't have a body varial in there. All you did was a (sketchy) fakie shuv it. Mmm... If anyone is wondering if that is weird, it's not for Australia... we've been having 35 degree celcius heat then that night it starts pouring with rain lately. I might not be able to match today though, I got burnt to a crisp at the beach yesterday, so I feel like crap. If its not too hard then I should be able to though.

I might also be taking the letter, not only because I can't do them, but I am going to have and English project over the weekend that's a big chunk of my grade.

Hmm, I just went out and tried them, I got close on some occasions, and I was only there for 10 minutes. I reckon I can get this, I've still got about 4 days to land one (assuming you set tommorow) and I was very close before. I can do this!!!! lol

Haha Pearso your skating out, while its dark here, and im in.

anyways some tips.

- Focus on the kickflip (popping and flicking of the board) first!
- If you think about the sexchange before hand, you'll be too eager to body varial, and your kickflip will turn into a sloppy one, or may turn into a varial.
- The higher you jump the more time you have to sexchange before upon landing, so just focus on the kickflip, pop hard, fliick, and let it flip beforehand. but.. remember to jump high.
- Once your in the air and the board is flipping under you, with your legs out of the way, turn to the right and at this point the board should start to face up, so just stomp you feet and land. you'll land switch, so i can understand if you dont wanna roll away switch, pivot away i guess.

this is how i learned them, no other problems. 5th try i landed it hah.
oh and.. any other probs pearso i hope this helps.

Wow, they are easier than I thought! I landed a couple with my front foot on cleanly, and my back foot just needed a bit more rotating, and one where I landed in tailstop, but I fell backwards. I'll get this for sure! :D

Hmm, I went out and got a couple sketchy ones recorded, I've got one where I toe touch, but pivot out to regain speed anyway? Will this be okay? If you want to have a look at it then I'll upload it later tonight, just that its really hot, and I was practising them for about an hour and a half.

EDIT: Ok, well I've rematched, there is still a toe drag like before, but only from one foot and I still rolled away a bit, and the rules are that you can toe drag if you don't completely stop. so it should count... if not I can't get anymore rematches... we both got a letter cause we couldnt do FS shove its for warcatz set.

but i just learned them

my tips?

ball of backfoot at edge of the board
front foot around, on the bolts.

bend ur knees, push back foot foward, front foot back, and swerve to the left (goofy) a tad bit,
this will make the shove it spin completely and you should jump back enough to catch it and land.

problems

commitment/ur feet or heel will knock the board when trying to catch it, toes touch floor = not jumping back enough, or loss of balance.
