Seriously what is the cafe's opinion on the Nintendo Wii. It sounds really fun.

I'm not that fussed on it. Sounds like the console you'd get if you don't want serious fun on games. PS3 and the 360 I'd stay with.

I seriously don't know what all the fuss is about it. It looks ok but I'm really in no rush to try one.

I closed one earlier about a question "what do you think about the controller..that sucks?" but a few of them should remain open such as the Wii Availabillity thread, and I think theres one or two in the off topic like one Ryan made, and another one which I thought was good..cant remember the names.

It looks cool, but I'd rather have a PS3. But then again there is the HDTV and all that other crap you have to buy thats expensive.

Maybe i'll get it in a couple of years. Until then i'd rather get a new computer.

Wii is the most amazing thing ever.

I've played PS3. I've played Xbox 360 (I'm not dissing this, I'm just waiting for Halo 3).

Wii owns them.

Zelda = ****ing greatest game ever.
Red Steel = not too shabby.
Wii Sports = fun no matter what.

It beats anything on PS3.

Madden on Wii = sports game of the year, 06.
Madden on PS3 = NOT MENTIONED.

Madden on Wii is amazing just because of what you can do with it... you'd have to play it to understand.

Zelda on Wii took me 40 hours to beat, but I still wanna beat it again.

Diss the PS3 all you want, I am too..I was such a happy PS2 owner and was really pumped for the PS3..it was hyped too much, most of the games on the PS3 that are also no the 360..dont look as good as the ones on the 360 and it came out a year ago with older tech. The exclusives on PS3, dont look as good as the exclusives on the 360. The Wii, I havnt even touched it..from what I hear, sounds like a little kid system and doenst compare with graphics but I hear so much about that Wii Sports, I really want to try it out and do some crazy ****.

The graphics really aren't bad though, they're better than original Xbox, at least I think so.

The gameplay is amazing though, and there are some good games for it. Zelda, Red Steel, Madden, THE INTERNET.

yea, I would of bought the Wii over PS3, but the X360 had THP8, Amped 3, Dead Rising, Saints Row, and soonto have Shaun Whites Snowboarding, Ea Skate, and GTA4..so i was pumped in the X360. I want to try out SSX Blur, that looks like mad fun nintendo wii game. snowboarding with the nunchuk? that must be nuts!

Yesterday, i went to best buy to try to get a wii, but they had none ( same old same old ). But in the middle of the store, there was a HUGE stack of PS3 noones rushing for and are just there. I never thought that would happen. I wish that would with wii's though :(

Wiis are outselling PS3's so much that Nintendo is making more $$$ than Sony is even though Wii's are only $250 and PS3's are $600. That means that for every PS3 Sony sells, Nintendo is selling 3 Wii's at least.

Eh, Madden on Wii.. the graphics look worse than Gamecube graphics and the field looks narrower. And the gameplay wasn't that great, but for some reason I want to play it some more.

But you could also be playing basketball in real life than on the PS3.. which are in stock now unlike the Wii because it's so popular.

They kick ass, they're soo much funner in person when you actually play it. Especially Madden and Zelda, at first Madden seemed too easy and boring, but now it's insane!

Tennis is sick as ****! I've gotten so good at it on Wii, but I'm so used to it I can't play it in real life anymore. :tongue:

Today i bought 2 classic games. They were Mario Kart and Mario bros. Their good, especially on a tv.

Call Of Duty 3 is awesome! the controls are tough at first but get way easier as you play

I haven't played my Wii in a good bit, I brought one of my two controllers over to my brother's apartment (where he has a Wii with 4 controllers and a 56inch TV) and left my Red Steel over there so all I have right now is Wii Sports and one Wiimote... I'm pretty unhappy about it.

yeh the guitar hero packages were not equipped with dolby sound. so it was just one mono speaker instead of 2 stereo speakers. so the new version will have stereo sound while the old version has mono sound.

I got Mario Galaxy 2 weeks ago, it's amazing.

Its like Super Mario 64 but better.

Even though theres a paper mario for the wii, I still play the gamecube one.

I hate the Wii, i got one about 4 months ago and haven't played it in 3 and a half months. I have SSX Blur, Wii Sports, Wii Play, THDJ, Res 4, Driver: Parallel Lines, Pirates of the Caribbean, Brunswick Bowling and Excite Truck and the only two i really liked were Res 4 and Driver. THDJ is alright but it's not something you would play because you wanted to, it's something you would play if you had completed your other games and it was raining outside.

Well, that's my opinion. I say don't get one. But if you want a console to play with neighbours or family, i do highly recommend it, because Wii Sports is fun to play with other people.

I just got my problem of this fixed. On the day that Brawl came out, I pulled my wii forth from the twisted pile of video-gaming wreckage and dusted it off. I got one of the first copies of the game and....ohhh man, I can't put it down.

Galaxy is a super game, probably one of the best mario games! Scarface is another great game, I'm still working my way through that. Been jamming on GHIII as of late though, I'm looking into picking up either Brawl or possibly Endless Ocean as it's dirt cheap around here.

On our last day of school before spring break, the access teacher was setting up a Wii in his classroom for the access kids to play with, and I went in to help him set it up, and guess what? He let me and my friends play for the rest of the day. :D

I might buy a wii for Resident Evil (not 4 beat it to a bloody pulp on PS2) and Fatal Frame 4 those are the only games that I think I would like. Sadly those seem to be the only games the wii will ever get that I'll like, so I'll get it beat them to no end then sell it back.

My parents got me a wii when it came out and I rarely used it just played zelda a little bit, but once Super Smash Bros. Brawl came out I started using it more and more, recently Mario Kart Wii came out with great online, and I've been playing it a lot.

Mario Kart wii is great, the only frustrating thing is you can go from 1st to last in some cases because of the blue shell item that is an automatic first place hit it's like a red shell but goes to first place and explodes like a bomb, it is still a great game and I would suggest getting it.

^ :p the Blue Shell's been in every single mario kart since the SNES one I believe. Prolly the best item to get if you're in a pickle :)

I decided a week ago i needed to get myself a present and wanted to get a wii. I went to six different stores and no luck. SO i sat in game crazy for two hours and, lo and behold! I got one when the shipment came in. I have Smash bros brawl and Guitar hero 3 for it so far. I am so addicted its disgusting! My eyes have been glued to my tv for two days straight! But daaang i didn't know that it would be so much fun i mean its freakin awesome!

Well I got myself a wii after hearing that Gamestop had a used game thing going on. I traded in 20 games from my PS3 and 360 collection which I got the trade in value plus $5 per game and since I had $319.45 total trade in value and had all the games I wanted (minus Alone in the Dark for 360 which isn't on PS3 yet. It'll be out later with extra PS3 only content....so I guy at GS told me)

But I have House of the Dead, And Then There Were None, and Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles. Those are the only games out right now that I like, some good zombie and mystery games, but when Fatal Frame 4 comes out I'll be on the wii more. So far I still hate it, like I knew I would but hey for 20 used games I already beat and didn't play it was good.

I say that Soul Calibur Legends is the best game on the wii followed maybe by Resident Evil The Umbrella Chronicles. The other games I played sucked and I hate mario and zelda games with a burning passion of the christ.

My sister has a Wii and we got her Rock Band the day it came out as a birthday present, and my dad played it (he used to be a drummer) and he had boots on, and he pressed to bass pedal too hard and he cracked it. Today it snapped. :(

Nah Im not into golf anymore, I would if the wii came out in my middle school years might help my golf game. I don't really like the way the contorls really are in it (IMO) looks boring.

I agree Fatal Frame 4 is the only reason why I bought a wii. But I heard on the internet it could possible go multi later on (just what I heard). I mean why is Grasshoper doing the game? What was wrong with the other 3 they were a hit!

well i have the wii and might i just say, id rather have xbox 360. i mean dont get me wrong the wii is pretty cool but i always play the xbox 360 at my causins and i seem to like it better.

I got mario kart about 2 weeks ago, its probably the best wii game thats been made.

1)Mario Kart
2)Super Smash Bros. Brawl ( dont have it yet though)
3)House of dead

I'm getting a wii pretty soon and mostly because of brawl :/

I can tell you guys that Fatal Frame would be a lot better on something other then the wii, but Ive played it today and I love it (favorite series from PS2)

Why do they even have shooters anyway? House of the dead looked like SNES game in fact most games for the wii minus Mario look like 64 games at best. Gameplay is more important then graphics but the gameplay is old to me and the graphics make me want to play my 64! I mean the wii can play gamecube games with the same graphics so why do the wii graphics look so ****ty?

Theyre making cod5 on the wii, based on the cod4 engine but with massive improvements.
