Dog Town 01-22-2007, 10:33 PM Me. :) LastRites 01-22-2007, 10:38 PM Present! And fixing to tick over 33 btw :icon_woow Higher-Class 01-22-2007, 11:20 PM Present! "B*tch, I'm a grown ass man." -Stevie Wonder Roboman 01-23-2007, 12:18 AM Yello. This forums an interesting idea. DeadBlueSky 01-23-2007, 05:06 AM here.... feeling alot older than i should :( 21 and feeling it :( DanHimself 01-23-2007, 05:14 AM I'm here. 19.. and sucking at life. Pathtek4 01-23-2007, 05:22 AM This old timer just got to the retirement home :p...I like teethless kisses, and bridge for perscription pills ;)! I got EPO, anybody wanna play? lmao MRCK 01-23-2007, 06:32 AM Present :) I feel really weird at the thought that it's only a matter of months now until I turn 20, I still tend to regard myself as a 16 or 17 year-old, and when I have to face that I'm becoming an adult it feels pretty funny. DanHimself 01-23-2007, 06:41 AM I'll be 20 in less than 2 weeks so I know exactly what you're talking about. WillySkates 01-23-2007, 01:27 PM 18.5 and waiting frantically to get out of high school FightFlyCrow 01-23-2007, 01:36 PM I feel much older than I am. I am only 20 but my biggest worries are rent and bills. I feel much more grown than most 20 year olds I know. Guess thats what happens when I move across the country and get a job, instead of going to college or living with the folks. old_skool_sk8r 01-23-2007, 09:57 PM Here, Drill Sergeant! Is this like the old folks home for skaters??? DanHimself 01-23-2007, 11:41 PM I do believe so yes... LastRites 01-23-2007, 11:53 PM Some of the best skaters on the planet are old..... I'm just not one of them :icon_snif The idea of a older forum is sweet. It gives the "kids" more room to get out and explore skateboarding for themselves and to discover things that alot of us older types already have. It gives us middle aged skaters (lol) a chance to have discussions about the stuff that concerns us outside of skating, like life and living. Well that and how arthritus is affecting our skating {rf) elmo 01-24-2007, 12:01 AM y is it that when ur young u want to be older, and when u get older u want to be young again.? sigh~ whish i could stay at 21 for ever B) Dr_Feelgood 01-24-2007, 12:15 AM y is it that when ur young u want to be older, and when u get older u want to be young again.? sigh~ whish i could stay at 21 for ever B) No offence but if your 21 and you cant spell the word "wish" then your going to have some major problems in life. Well im 18, feel really old in this forum but still a kid in the real world. bass_chik 01-24-2007, 12:19 AM I'm here... the party can start now DeadBlueSky 01-24-2007, 12:41 PM awesome, i'll bring the balloons, you bring the food. though even at 21, i feel a little aged and unsure as to where my life has gone and a little apprehensive with regards to where my life is going, i try not to let a simple concept like age put any constraints on how i am supposed to behave. even when i was 12 i felt about 67 :) Hexgame 01-24-2007, 11:39 PM 20 here. Almost 21. COME ON ALCHOL! Roboman 01-25-2007, 12:06 AM 20 here. Almost 21. COME ON ALCHOL! I still feel sorry for people with the drinking age of 21. Ours is 18, and it still took long enough to get there. LastRites 01-25-2007, 01:05 AM I was a deviant little chap and had a fake at the age of 18 :icon_burn DanHimself 01-25-2007, 01:08 AM I'm gonna be 20 in a week and a half and I'm regretting the day I turn 21. My family has already claimed me.. and said I'm getting free drinks all night and they are gonna get me so drunk that I'm never gonna want to drink again. Woo.. way to be 21. Ibanez 01-25-2007, 02:27 AM 20 turn 21 in Dec. I have a long 311 days till I can get alcohol. DeadBlueSky 01-25-2007, 05:02 AM its 18 here too, not that it matter to me (i don't drink) Pathtek4 01-25-2007, 05:28 AM I must have worn out all my drinking fun in high school, cause i'm not too big of a drinker now, I much rather get a pepsi, watch others get toasted, and drive home safely :)...Although, in high school A six pack of Natural Ice (Naty's Ice we called it) costed DIRT cheap, but was gross as hell...BUT, it would do the job for those late night sessions on Genesis and then PS1 :) MRCK 01-25-2007, 05:42 AM It's 18 here too but it's like there were no legal age since noone cares about it, underrage people can still get access to alcoholized drinks quite easily in stores where noone checks their actual age or they just ask someone else to go buy them what they want. I myself don't drink, almost everyone I know do, not that it matters to me but it still scares the hell out of me to see how it's becoming acceptable as a normal thing for sometimes 13 year-old children to get completely wasted on everything they can find on a regular basis. DeadBlueSky 01-25-2007, 05:46 AM i agree, especially here in england we have a big institutionalised "drinking culture" it just doesn't appeal to me, i've learned from my experiences and drink is just not for me terence123trh 01-25-2007, 02:43 PM me too Higher-Class 01-25-2007, 05:35 PM It's 18 here too but it's like there were no legal age since noone cares about it, underrage people can still get access to alcoholized drinks quite easily in stores where noone checks their actual age or they just ask someone else to go buy them what they want. Yeah, I was at a party once, and these 13 year old girls were completely gone. For one thing, holy crap little girls are obnoxious when they're drunk. But more seriously, it is pretty disturbing to see someone so young doing something like that. (most)Kids that age aren't really old enough to make responsible decisions for themselves without giving in to peer pressure. I must have worn out all my drinking fun in high school, cause i'm not too big of a drinker now, I much rather get a pepsi, watch others get toasted, and drive home safely :)...Although, in high school A six pack of Natural Ice (Naty's Ice we called it) costed DIRT cheap, but was gross as hell...BUT, it would do the job for those late night sessions on Genesis and then PS1 :) haha, Naty Ice. I thought only my friends said that. MAN that stuff is gross. I hate beer anyway, and that is like the worst. Roboman 01-25-2007, 05:56 PM I dont drink much anymore. Or at least I try not to. And especially not combining drinking wth skating. I've posted this story once before, but for those who dont know: I was once skating with a hangover and came down from a feeble grind on a 3ft quarter pipe, but hit a rock right at the bottom. If I was normal my reactions would've worked. But the hangover slowed my reactions down enough that I landed on the concrete completely on my temple and cheek. My hands never even got high enough up to catch me. Blood nose, concussion, fractured skull across the temple, on the cheek and behind my eye, also bruised one of the nerves that controls eye movement so my right eye couldn't look right for about 2 months. Now I dont even like to see a skateboard when I'm out on the town. Like it wasn't traumatic or anything, I was more optimisic than anyone about getting better. Its just the combination of skating and drinking which is not good. :) FightFlyCrow 01-25-2007, 06:09 PM I must have worn out all my drinking fun in high school, cause i'm not too big of a drinker now, I much rather get a pepsi, watch others get toasted, and drive home safely ...Although, in high school A six pack of Natural Ice (Naty's Ice we called it) costed DIRT cheap, but was gross as hell...BUT, it would do the job for those late night sessions on Genesis and then PS1 Awww but Pathtek4, you can probably pick up Lionshead, which is the best cheap beer around(according to my room mates, I dont drink, but am still atatched to it). Ibanez 01-25-2007, 07:37 PM I must have worn out all my drinking fun in high school, cause i'm not too big of a drinker now, I much rather get a pepsi, watch others get toasted, and drive home safely :)...Although, in high school A six pack of Natural Ice (Naty's Ice we called it) costed DIRT cheap, but was gross as hell...BUT, it would do the job for those late night sessions on Genesis and then PS1 :) Im slowing down on the drinking from now on. My last party was it for me. 8 shots (including 3 mixed drinks, and a beer) in a time frame of 15 minutes on 75% alcohol made me spend the whole night pasted out in a bathtub. Mostly cause of a girl I liked. Her friend poured her a shot and she didn't want to drink it and me being me I wanted to prove to her that it wasn't strong or anything. Then she she didn't want to drink alone and I took another shot. Tom 01-25-2007, 08:04 PM :p I'm also here ^_^ Pathtek4 01-25-2007, 08:09 PM :p I'm also here ^_^ Took ya long enough to get here. What, did you stop at the local drugstore for viagra and celebrex? lol Tom 01-25-2007, 08:14 PM LMAO MIke! Naw, that's not on the shopping list yet :p khuk 01-25-2007, 08:40 PM Although, in high school A six pack of Natural Ice (Naty's Ice we called it) costed DIRT cheap I'm also here. I call them naty ice too. I was about to go get a few actually. I'm 22 and I'm glad we now have this forum to chat about things that younger people might not understand. For example I love the recipe threads I've seen so far. Great idea here, I love it. Off to the store... :icon_pelv Reno_Rotary 01-26-2007, 02:55 AM I'm here and enjoying it, more than the pool and bowl riding section actually, and it scares me. +1 on the good conversation and recipes. Since drinking seems to be the other topic in here, I'm going to say out of respect for my parents I didn't start drinking till I was out of their house and on my own. I think if I'm old enough to pay rent and take out my own garbage I should be able to kick back a few. I've had my wild nights but now prefer to save it for special events or little kickbacks or movie nights at buddies houses. I'm also part of that lucky slice of the gene pool that is immune to hang-overs. russellmj 01-28-2007, 04:15 AM Okay, I'll chime in. It looks as though I have everyone beat except for that geezer Dogtown. And yeah, I skate. Not very good, but I do. aronsamma 01-28-2007, 09:27 AM Hey, I brought the Metamucil and the complete Matlock collection on VHS! BooRadley 02-08-2007, 12:52 PM I just noticed this forum. 37 and skating regularly, just not very good at it. (I skated when I was 13-16, but then didn't get on a board again until this past fall.) I don't understand how some of you are fresh out of high school and saying you are old. WTF? I still feel just as young as I did 10 years ago. I think that you are only old when you physically cannot skate anymore. Until that day comes, I am not complaining. If you can get on your board and ride down the road, you are blessed, be it age 10, 30, or 60. Just keep skating. remyhero 03-25-2007, 02:36 PM I'm 21 but Pathtek is still an old man!! I love being able to buy tobacco products, so much easier than having to call someone else. I also heard there was a bill being considered in our state to lower the drinking age, possibly to 18 :D, but more likely 19 or 20. Doubt anything happens with it until I am 21 or something though so it doesn't matter, bills take forever to get passed. lnuvik 01-20-2008, 08:16 AM well hey just thought id come see whos in this forum AiMee 01-31-2008, 12:26 PM Me!
