God is starting a Skate club here in jackson county oregon. Its partnered with youth for Christ abd is going to be in their parking lot. I know its not alot yet but nothing starts out big. please pray that this ministry is used totaly for Gods Glory and effects the comunity the way God wants it to. i want to thank god for keeping me alive because i was skatin this street and i just 180ed the manhole in the street and as i landed i rolled my ankle and fell backwards and then i turned left and a suvs tires were like a foot away it scared me to death but this wasnt my time i just want to thank god for it.

Hey guys please pray for my friend... he broke his arm about a week ago and he crushed his growth plate in his arm... he can't have sugery on it until he is 16 so his arm can grow and so they wont have to mess up the growth plate.

My friend Chad, who's a great skater and biker, is going through a tough time right now. His mom is in the hospital with cancer, and the doctors are worried about her condition, so please just pray for Chad and his family. Guys, I havent really had many prayers in my life but heres a shot....

My sister was born mentally unstable. She has Asperger Syndrome and its taking a whole lot to deal with it. Shes having problems in school and even had cops get onto her. My dad keeps praying the she would be getting better but she hasnt. It is really sad and sometimes shes runs away and threatens everyone. One time she got a teddy bear and stabbed it with a knife and ran away screaming that noone loved her, please, all im asking is for a prayer. Thanks

He sent us an e-mail that said it was close to being him. When i heard that it made all of this much more personal. He's scheduled to come home in 12 days please pray for his safe return.

I pray that i restablish a stronger relationship with the Lord, and control my swearing. Cut back on it. Today wasn't the greatest day. First off my guidance counseler passed away due to cancer, he has been living with it for awhile and everyone knew it was just a matter of time but it still hurts. Secondly the percussion intructor/drum teacher at our school also passed away from an unexpected heart attack. One of my friends who took lessons from him was incredibly upset, please pray that God watches over and comforts my friend.

I pray I have a good skateboard life as well as have a good academic life!

i lived in a town for 5 years, moved to a crappy town and lived there for a year, went to a good town with good friends, then had to move to a bigger city that i love. now, a week before school starts, may dad told me that we're moving an hour and a half away because he got an awesome job offer. my mom is gonna teach me at home for a couple weeks, then start at a new school about a month into the school year.

I'm pretty new to this site, I just joined today. I am very happy there is a forum on the site for skaters who follow Christ :) . This seems kinda weird asking over the internet, but I want to ask you guys to pray for me because I feel God is calling me to have a ministry through skateboarding, I have been skating for about 6 years and I got really good and I slowly quit, but my younger step-bro ( I jus call him my bro tho) started skating a couple months ago ( when I started back also) and I think God is calling me back to it, and I want to reach others through skating, I just want to be real and loving ya know, I want others to see the truth and the love God has shown me.

Pray for my family, especially my uncle. My aunt died last night. I really didn't know her to awfully well, and am actually sort of glad she's dead because she had been suffering with cancer for about 6 months and she was ready to go. Just pray that the peace of God will go over my uncle and keep him giving glory to God even though it is a valley in his life: the second time he has lost a wife to cancer in four years.


EDIT:: Also pray for me. I've been having some trouble with some things lately. Then my friend has started cutting himself and is getting into weed. The weed I"m not really all that worried about, but mainly the cutting himself part. I'm afraid he might go and kill himself. Thanks for praying.

He has been taking narcotics for the past two months and recently had to quit. He became dependent on them and right now he is in withdrawal. He has been very depressed lately and feeling terrible.

While talking to me today he said "You know, I don't even think I will live past 75. I think I will have a heart attack or stroke in about five years and that will be the end" And when he said that it really disturbed me.

Could you guys please pray for my best friend and his family. he's eleven and just lost his grandma to brain cancer. He's a fellow skater.

I would gladly give up my life to help you and your mom because it's when I read things like this I realize how much better my life is compared to others. She recently cheated on him, and today, she left him for good. He's abosolutely crushed and he's in a really rough spot right now. He's probably going to have to have a custody battle for the baby, and right now, he's drinking away his pain. We just talked for a good 10 minutes. It was the deepest conversation we've ever had, and I almost cried. Even thinking about what we just talked about is almost making me cry. I'd really like it if you guys could include him in your prayers. Just to sort of help him through these hard times. Even though I don't believe it, he believes in it, and for all I know, I'm wrong.

My friend Amber is singing right now and soon she is having a surgery and will not be able to sing. Please pray for our worship band and that God can help me overcome my shyness and fear. David, somehow I have a hard time picturing you as shy and afraid....but I'll pray for you. I use to have to speak in front of people a lot, and I found if I could totally focus on them and totally care about them receiving the message, I would forget about me altogether. The worst thing that can happen is for their faces to be telling you they aren't receiving the message. Watch the faces...search them...and adjust based on their responses.

It's not that, I can shred on my guitar in front of people and it doesn't bother me, but I can't talk in front of people, but your right I should just close my eyes and it will all be fine, lol.

Everyone, please pray for my Grandpa.

He came home from my Grandparent's lake house in the country for an eye appointment, and was complaining of chest pains. He said it was so painful, he needed to go to the hospital, so my Grandma drove him there, to the nearest one.

He had a heart attack in the emergency room. Not 5 minutes after he got in the hospital.

Doctors said that if my Grandma hadn't gotten him to that exact hospital, at that exact time, he would have died. Think about it:

He had to come home TODAY for an eye appointment (there are no real hospitals within 30 miles of the lakehouse), and arrived home at that EXACT time, and left at that EXACT time, and went to the hospital that was in the PERFECT spot.

Not sure if this is something to pray for, but my dad's client in a really nice guy and I like him a lot, he even tried skateboarding with me before.
He had a suspended license and drove and he got caught and he's going to jail although I'm not sure how long.

I think that this is great that you have a Christian skater section and a prayer request. Right On! My sister had a Miscarriage last year around this time. My unborn nephew had Trisomy 18 which is a chromosome disorder. My sister was 5 months along when God took the baby. This was some really hard stuff to deal with. Well God has blessed my sister and she is pregnant again with a boy and my family is praying that he will be healthy. So far all of the tests have come back good and everything seems to be alright. If you could please pray for my sister and my unborn nephew.

Remember....some of the most famous believers...including David, Abraham and Peter did some of the stupidist stuff....and God never gave up on them. Don't give up on yourself....like Judas did. Be a Peter.....he felt horrible for having denied Christ to others, but he belived that God would forgive him. Judas thought he was too bad for God to forgive him and he went out and killed himself. Never give up. Always have hope. Trust in God's love and mercy.

i need prayer for family issues, because my parents went through a horrid divorce about 2 years ago and alot of stuff happened, and now i am i am always upset and hurt and i turn that into anger, but i never show it to people.

One of his tenants burned one of his places down (arson) 2 years ago, his brother stepped forward saying that he'd get some guys to fix the place up in payment for the 20 some thousand dollars he owed my dad from a previous loan, well, here it is 2 years later and nothing, he's not paying the workers so the workers aren't working. He's a jerk, my dad has done so much for him, and this is what he gets, with no thanks what-so-ever.

That's just one of the many problems, he's up to his ears, so, if you guys could pray for him, I'd appreciate it.

I just got my tonsils out last Wednesday and so far its been kinda bad. it hurts to talk, swallow,eat, move my head etc..i cant take the pain medicine the doctor subscribed for me because i throw up every time. NativeSkater....I used to have those and it helped me to buy a "Thermassage" by Homedics at the Walgreens. It only costs about $12.00 and it sure relieves the tension if you vibrate with heat on your temples, forehead, around the sinus passages, on top of the head all over, and on the back of the head. I know it sounds stupid, but it's worth a try....anything's worth a try to get rid of those headaches.

I'm sorry something's making you angry. A famous Christian psychologist once told me that anger is a God given emotion that arizes when something is happening that is seriously out of God's will and needs fixing. It is one of the most powerful emotions and is intended to help us to resolve the problem if we do it in a Biblical manner. Anger can be destructive to us if we blow up and make the situation worse (react in a non-Biblical manner).....or hold it inside and don't use it to help us solve the problem.... or we can't solve the problem because it is outside of our power to change. In the latter case we just have to turn the problem over to God and do something like skating or helping others....so we work the energy off. If another person that we can't control is causing the problem, we can pray for them and work real hard to be kind to them and thereby work the energy off. Praying for them makes them a lot easier to endure too....they become valuable to you because you have invested so much prayer into them.

Well.....for what that's worth......hope it helps. It has helped me a lot.

I finally changed to what I knew God wanted me to do....a houseparent at a Christian childrens home. My salary went from $40.00 an hour to $5.00 an hour...but my headaches went away and I was happier and more fulfilled than I had even been in my life.

My friend just told me he has lung cancer, and he refused treatment so his mom wouldn't find out.

He found out a few years ago, so he's been living with it for so long, it's probably gotten in his bloodstream now. There's most likely not a good chance of him living.
