This is the discussion thread, all discussions take place in here and not the tricks thread!

The game is played till one team gets the letters S.K.A.T.E.B.O.A.R.D. ,with the other team crowned Victorious!

Here are the complete and FINAL rules! No changes will be made at anytime unless its an unanimous approval from everyone. (We'll poll it if needed)

1. 4 days to set
- If a teammate fails to set anything in 4 days when it is that players turn to set, it will result in a letter for that team (This rule will be strictly enforced, no extension will be granted unless extreme circumstances develop around a players set time) If you are going away, set ahead of time, and pass it to another teammate to post up if need be as a allowable resolution.
2. 5 days to match
- Because this is a TEAM game and their are 13 players on each team, 6 players will be needed to match the set trick in order to not recieve a letter and declare a ''match''
3. There is no limit on how hard the tricks can be
- the only rule is that once a trick is set during this game, it cannot be set again and a list will be compiled at the end of this post in this thread
4. Because all kinds of tricks are being set here (including the freestyle) the rules have to reflect a bit of everything

*Non-Freestyle Tricks*
- all tricks must be performed rolling (no stationary starts)
- once the board leaves it wheels, it must land on all four wheels
- reverts are allowed
- you must roll away in the same position as the trick that has been set.
- no unintentional foot drags or hands on the ground when landing a trick
- sets and matches have to be reasonably clean
- boneless and no comply tricks are acceptable
- no manuals or combo's by manuals
- no cavemans allowed

*Freestyle Tricks*
- the set has to be reasonably clean.
- some set tricks can be slightly sketchy, but you cannot be falling off the board
- the same goes for matches, although some extra leeway can and may be given.
- because "no repeating tricks" is already a rule for this game, if a freestyle trick has already been set, you can still use it in a combo
- tricks can be done stationary or rolling, so if someone sets a rolling trick, the match has to be rolling.
- footwork combos must be relatively short and in rare cases may a decision be made that a set cannot count due to its length

5. Sectional mod's and/or host(s) have final say of legitamacy of set/matched tricks to prevent arguements.
- this game is about having a good time playing a large ''GAME'' with each other as a group, so please be mindfull of your teammates and the opposing team
- any member that believes a decision on something deserves better clarification, please keep it in the pm's to prevent widespread bickering
6. The game is run by the “Eastern (US & Canada)” time zone, so all tricks much be matched and set by the time stated in Eastern Time.
7. When you match or set a trick, after you have landed the trick you must make the sign that is shown below, in front of the camera, any tricks without the sign will not be included.

Its seems that less then half is a bit low. I was thinking along the lines that because this was a ''team'' thing, just a few guys, wouldn't be able to carry the team, thats why I set it at a more then half number (+1). But like I said above, I have no problem with changing it to 6, so if nobody has an issue with that, 6 it is. (speak now or forever hold your peace)

A perfect set to start out with. I got to get my tre flips back. Actually I got to get my flatground tricks back. New skatepark = New and fun filled adventures :)

6 is better because if you look the participants are quite advanced so a lot of good tricks will be thrown down, aswell as the fact some people might end up being a bit inactive. Btw i will try and match the tre flip today :D

Funnily enough Mike, I've been practising Tre's like mad and they're the trick I've been working on for weeks. This set may get me to land it!

a number higher than 6 would be better, it stops either team realying on its "star players" too much if a greater number of people have to match, making it more of a level playing field and a more rewarding game, which i'm sure is more important than making it easier to match to make it easier to win?

Ok guys my match is up, it was like Qtips 360 double flip match in gos10 and that counted so mine SHOULD count. I snapped all but 1 layer of wood of my nose today off my baker board, nooooooo :(:(:( and the whole nose is about to snap off so i hope it counts XD Plus it took about 2 and a half hours to get.

I just assumed since most people in the game can't nollie 360 kiwi, people would be nice and do things reasonable. Some people in this game can hardly double flip, or tre, but by the end of the FIRST ROUND chances are we're all gonna be setting triple flips, carousels and siyoun spins.

I haven't completely made up my mind up about my set yet. Probably will be a nollie 360 kiwi but who knows? :)

It's not like he set an obscure front foot featherflip body varial crossfoot variation either, I'm sure late fs heels are attainable for everyone who can do frontside flips consistently (they're basically the same thing except you stop the rotation with your back foot and kick the other way), don't let the name of the trick put you off even trying it and just learn it.

I don't know whether your case can be considered as 'extreme circumstances' or not though, just wait to see what Pathtek thinks :)

Yeah being grounded isn't very extreme. Just film something quick while they're out grocery shopping or something.

I never complained about your set man? I thought it was fantastic actually, and a great second set to the game...I just wish those days to match it, that it didn't rain and was constantly wet, I really wanted to get out there and have a go out it (like I said, I had it on carpet, lol)

I think nobody is going to agree with me but i think it is too easy to get teams letter in this game, i still think 6 is too many, 4 or 5 would be better starting when it is team americas next set.
I also agree if not this game is gonna be over fast

Is this game inactive? I thought it was because the last 2 sets have been just been ''the lead off hitters''...Wait till we get to the lower end of the batting or, maybe things will look up. I'm not scratching this idea, Varial worked too hard on getting it organized to just dump it. But if someones ''out'' then just let me know.

No, no, don't get me wrong. I'm not saying its inactive now, I'm quite happy with the way things are now. I was just saying it would be a shame if changes were made that not everyone agreed on, thus possibly causing some to become inactive, which would really suck considering the work that was put into organizing this game. And I'm only bringing this up because I've seen it happen in other games.

Instead of the game being played with letters, each player will have 1 go to set, the setting order is the same as it was before, the team with the most overall matches wins the game.

I personally haven't, but these new rules are really encouraging me to actually try the trick, in fact I wouldn't have been bothered with it if I had to rely on 5 other team members to pull it off too and eventually make it, but now things are different :)

Yeah it is fairly obtainable and can be learned in no time if you can't do the trick in the first place, yet it's not a basic trick by any means either, I think it will be an interesting turn ;)

Here is a summary of some rules:

1. 4 days to set
2. 5 days to match
3. Not getting enough people to match results in a letter
4. There is no limit on how hard the tricks are.
5. No extreme toe drags, hand slaps, heel drags etc, basically meaning sets and matches have to be reasonably clean.
6. No manuals or combo's by manuals
7. Reverts are allowed, but only at the end of a trick
8. Sectional mod's and/or host(s) have final say of legitamacy of set/matched tricks to prevent arguements.
9. Members that sign up, must have at least 200 posts and be able to have access to a camcorder (preferably their own)
10. NO EXTENSIONS WILL BE GRANTED DURING THIS GAME!!
11. Hand sign will be determined after sign ups
12. Since the high amount of players on teams, each member that signs up must realize they are not alone and are part of a team, and should act accordingly.
13. Tricks set cannot be reset at anytime during the game
14. freestyle IS Allowed, but the combos must be short, they will be decided upon at the time as to whether they count.
15. No complys and bonelesses allowed
16. No cavemans

It doesn't rely on any tweaking because theres nothing too hard or easy about it because its purely comparative. There wont be any hastles with extensions or anything. People with less skating ability aren't at a disadvantage as its team based, in fact its encouraged.

I dont know though, I dont really like modified skate games.

According to Varial_222's latest post in this thread we still have more than one day. I'm under the impression that the switch double was set a while ago though, so he may be wrong, or not. I don't know <bag:)

My set's uploading at the moment, it's a heelflip late f/s shove-it, which can be surprisingly easy to learn if you're decent at heelflips, they're probably one of the most natural flip late shove variations, so everyone should give it a shot, I'm sure you can get a fair few matches ;)

not as bad as i thought but still a pretty difficult trick im sure. i was expecting something more crazy like that switch impossible tailgrab revert. well at least i can heelflip so i'll give it a try lol.

EDIT: Landed my first double heel today :D, and 4 of my friends were watching!

the heelflip late shove it is giving me problems, i can heelflip but if i try to get the shove it nothing really happens, closesti've got was like a 30 degrees late shove, i dont really think i meant to. its kinda hard for me to catch it and spin it, i only can catch heelflips like half a foot off the ground.
