I never played vegas 1. My brother played it for 360 and said it was the **** so i figured id check out 2.

Well it wasn't really great in my view (Vegas) and V2 looks like the same game just different levels. I'll get it after people get tired of it but Im starting to get over shooters and getting back into RPG and adventure games.

i saw a few reviews for dark sector and they all said it was terrible.

You see the review on xplay too. they gave it a horrible score as well. Said it was completly repetitive, the enemy AI was awful and it was basically just cover and shoot teh whole game.

gamer tv did a full episode on reveiwing it and sang it's praises.

I got unreal tourament 3 today. Gonna go play now and reveiw it later for you lot.

I used to like FPS but theres a lack of original elements in them. Now there all the same minus Resistance. Haze will be a welcome change in that.

The online is going to be like the game. Theres a 4 player online co-op mode and theres tons of different online modes as well. The lead guy told about online for co-op that has mini goals to complete as you go against other players that pick to be Mantel Troops, and the Mantel Troops have their own goals to complete against the Rebel Troops.

In the game the Mantel Troops have Nector that aids them in battles. One cool thing about Nector is the Foresight that helps you see Rebels since they use cover a lot in brush and things.

Thats a use of Nector called "Nector Perception". As you can see you can spot each rebel fighter as before the Perception and after.

Other uses of Nector Mantel can use it for:
Melee Blast: Performed the same way as the normal melee attack, but with 10 times the power, thanks to Nectar.

Nectar Resilience: Bullets won’t bounce off, but the player will take less damage from them.

Nectar Focus: When sniping or using the zoom function on your helmet, Nectar will give the player a new level of focus, helping to aim and making it easier to kill in one deadly accurate shot.

Nectar Foresight: If the player is in danger while on a Nectar overdose, a visible “pulse” will ripple outward from the point of threat. This could be a grenade at the player's feet, or someone about to melee from behind.

One thing Im going to love about the online as said in one of those video links I posted is the online has the Pros and Cons of each side. Waiting for it to come out, nothing else I can do since when I first heard about it and had it paid off at Gamestop since early November. Man, I saw an article for Haze like, last August and I just about creamed my pants. I want it so badly, I might just have to shoot the tires on the shipping truck to get it.

Not really I trust Gamestop, well the fact I go there every week helps too. I pre-ordered God of War on PSP and Willie throw in like 3 other PSP demos for free. The I bought Two Worlds on 360, I took it back and he gave me a refund (nothing was wrong with the disc or nothing)

Well I got Assassin's Creed a day or two before it came out from my friend that works there. Free demo disc from a PSP game, and a free copy of Army of Two. When you go to the same Gamestop every week and buy at least 2 games every week for 3 months, you won't believe the **** you can get.

Perks is, sometimes they'll let me get their worker's discount on top of my Edge card (if its used), if I didn't like a game (like Two Worlds) I can bring it back and they'll get me a 100% refund, if you pre-order a PSP game I get another demo disc of a PSP game thats coming out.

But yeah Haze is going to be a beast (I think my online time will crash cause Im going to play that game like a mug and play online a lot). I can't wait for 5/20!!!! They should at least put up a demo in the PSN cause that would get more people into it. Run of the mill FPS sell but how about a FPS with a hell of a lot of original things in it?

And the tech demo is just a demo they said they have no reason to make it into a real game. Maybe down the road they'll make it into a real game but with FF XIII and FF Versus XIII out next year, they have a lot of things to watch right now.

Haze won't let me down cause I already know almost everything about it from single player, co-op, and online modes all great. Only game that let me down was Assassin's Creed but other then that every game has been a hit with me. Haze is really one of the few games that Ive been following a lot (along with Heavy Rain).

Really with the 45 PS3 games that are due to come out in 08 is good enough and with God of War 3, FF XIII, and FF Versus XIII coming out in 09 thats another plus. They don't really make remakes of FF games unless its going to be on PSP (such as FF and FF II)

Haze is far better then Farcry could EVER be. Nectar plays a part in the game no matter what side your on. Best thing about the game is both side has a long list of pros and cons plus look at Haze its going to blow up into a force.

5 or 6 warhawks hovering above the ground troops, taking out tanks and anti-aircraft machines, then you have the ground 4x4s with a driver, someone hanging out the passengers seat shooting off...and then someone on the mounted 50. cal providing cover fire.

then surrounding the ground troops are 2 or 3 tanks....all of this getting backed up by the snipers in concreted bunkers, then when you have the flag...everyone stays with each other


It's like normally people do what they wnat online..temam match or not....but everyone sticks together on this

Of course man. Online should be more then 8 players I would think (they haven't said the limit per match yet) but online is going to be sick on Haze!

Theres some interviews with people of Free Radical about Haze. But I have to point out that some footage on Youtube is getting bashed by 360 fan boys that if you go back in the comments the same people bashing it was saying how it was better then Halo and Gears. Only thing that changed was the platforming, from 360 and PS3 to just PS3.

I have a job, I get about $280-300 every week (thanks to a .50 raise) that I get a few games every week (mostly 2-3 games. 360, PS3, PS2, or a PSP game. Mostly its a PS3 and a PS2 game). I DO spend a hell of a lot of money on games, last year I added up about $1100 in games from Oct to December.

Well Im getting GT5's Prologue tomorrow it came out the 14th but you have to add on a day from IGN for it to ship to the east. If my Evo is on the game Im so buying it!!!

Well Im getting GT5's Prologue tomorrow it came out the 14th but you have to add on a day from IGN for it to ship to the east. If my Evo is on the game Im so buying it!!!

Im not sure I never played the 4 Prologue, Im not a real big fan of racing that you can't add body kits and such on the cars. But its alright, you get to race on like 20 tracks and choose between some cars, but if you can't wait untill 09 to get the full game then its something to play ever now and then. At least Dualshock 3 is out and the game uses the rumble feature.

Thanks for your response Ibanez! The Dualshock 3 controller is pretty cool, I just bought it the other day. I think I'll save my money for Fatal Inertia which I believe comes out tomorrow, or maybe GRID; although I'm not sure if that'll even be out this Summer.

No problem, one of the good things about GT5 is when the game is out all the data can be transfered over. I got to many games that I haven't beat yet so till the next game I buy comes out I have a lot of catching up to do.

Well tell him the 360 can't play bluray and that bluray has killed hd dvd soon the 360 will have to go with bluray cause Rockstar has said the game are hard to get on the 360s dics due to size (even Assassin's Creed was hard to get on it).

Plus the PS3 is going to have the most games coming out on it this year (about 40 something hits includes MGS4, Haze, SOCOM 5, Getaway 3, Killzone 2, Resistance Fall of Man 2, Metal Gear Online (I have the online beta and this **** is great!), Heavy Rain, and Eight Days). Next year in 09 PS3 will get God of War 3, FF XIII, FF Versus XIII and a few other ones. All the 360 has is Fable 2, Gears of War 2, and another halo game. Theres no real reason to get a 360 this year if your looking for a new console.

Plus if you get the 80gb you can still play your PS2 games on it!

^Sweet, I had no idea there was a sequel in the works for Resistance: Fall of Man. That game is awesome, it gives me chills though. My friend and I played it for 6 hours straight, and I swear we started seeing things after the 4th hour lol.

Well Resistance 2 comes out in like November but its worth the wait, new guns, improved AI, partly random levels (some parts get moved around if you re-play a level), and best of all is the online 60 player online matches in huge levels. I haven't beat the game yet (believe it or not) due to all the new games coming out and my undying love on PS1 and PS2 games.

If Resistance spooked you, don't play any of the Fatal Frame games (great series just that its the scariest game made).

Have you seen the footage of War Devil yet? Its got a lot of bad talk from 360 fan boys saying its all CGI when its really game footage just like the footage of Eight Days.

In Eight Days why would they add cross hairs in it when it only shows the cross hair footage for about 10 seconds of the almost min footage? Its real footage.

America will finally get a new Siren game on the PS3 as well, after 4 long years! Everyone in Japan and Euro got to play the second game Siren 2 in 06, lucky baggers.

Oh well now that Haze is coming out tomorrow, Im not sure if I'll be on the cafe as much till I beat the game at least 3 times and went through half if not all of the levels online. Now after Haze, I'll get MGS 4, but the next real game Im looking forward to after Haze is Heavy Rain!

Holy **** everyone with a PS3 get Haze its so great. Great lines that come out of nowhere, a bit of F.E.A.R like moments, and some other surprises!

I had no clue that you could get set on fire in the game or how hard the game is when you overdose due to injecting yourself with too much Nector or having the pack on your back blown out (happened to me early in the game). When you overdose you start shooting and moving on your own (you can control it but its ****ing HARD, and FYI don't even try to throw a gernade cause he just holds it till it explodes in his hand).

I still can't say its my favorite game, due to the fact I still love to play Heavnly Sword (never trading or getting rid of), but its in a tie for 1st with HS.

Well the offical contract to have Bioshock a timed release is over and Bioshock is coming on the PS3, no word on if their will be extra content since they have way more space then they did on the 360 but I hope they do add extra things.

Anyway the PS3 has the best line up for 08 over 35 exclusive games coming to its console while the 3 red rings has about 1/3 of that on their consoles (at best!). All of Playstation's big titles, minus FF XIII, FF Versus XIII, and God of War 3 will be out this year with new titles as well.

For the 360 I have one and the biggest waste of money I ever spent, rented the so called great titles and all of them sucked more then Infected on the PSP! The 360 only has Halo and Gears keeping it a float and those aren't really exclusive since you can get them on PC as well!

The gameplay and hand to hand fighting as pure win and the makeshift weapon idea is cool. In the demo, they didn't feature the crime scene investigation thing, but that really set the bar up there. The only bad part is that you only get like, 5 bullets for a gun then you have to throw it away or use it to beat people over the head.

Well I haven't beat Fatal Frame 2 yet (Im going to work on it starting today) but Fatal Frame 1 is better, it not only gets you by playing the game it ****s with your head as well. I was home alone playing it and I heard noises like someone was walking. I spent more time walking around my house with my sword (thinking someone was messing with me) then I did playing the game, its that bad.

Yeah it does what an online game can do but to me gta is just fun as single player. Why would I want to have a small section of create a person (which is WEAK!) and then go around having a race, free roam (can't you do better free roam in the single player?), death match and team death match, again those are stupid, just go solo and have a death match with the police in the game no need for online.

I did online for about an hour or 2 and I got so damn bored of it, I would have rather played Two Worlds instead of getting GTA 4 just for the online. Thats just what I think, I hate online play in the game so I don't play it if you like it thats fine. I'll stick to pure shooters for online.

Well Ive only really played it once so far, due to it coming out on Thursday and I have to work Friday-Monday. But that one time was at least 6 hours.

Damn does Time Crisis 4 ever end? Its a great game and all but really Ive put hella hours in it since its launch and I still haven't beat it yet. I played it for 16 hours getting to about level 8 or 9 then did some target practice and arcade mode. Since then I would do like a 1 to 3 levels every now and then but I don't think it ends.

No lag for me, really I don't think I ever had a lag when I play online.......ever!

Your lucky, the first two days i played i thought the game just sucked because i had to unload 2 whole clips on a person to kill them. Once they did the update i was like woww haha. But yea i still lag and still get booted from games just about half the time.

Oh no my friend Fatal Frame is the king of horror/survial series ever. If you can find a copy of Fatal Frame or Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly I would HIGHLY suggest you buy it! Silent Hill is bland, 2 was good, Origins and 3 were dumb and 4 god that was TERRIBLE. Though I do know that they were going to have a different series sorta like Silent Hill and 4 was going to be the first one in it, but for some reason they marked it as Silent Hill 4, though its the only Silent Hill game that doesn't take place in Silent Hill at all, just a gay as hell hotel room.

4?! Have you not played RE 3, 3 is the best. Nemisis comes out of nowhere a lot of times and you choose to fight him then where you have a 90% chance of getting killed or later where you have a 70% chance of getting killed.

Done it got bored of it not even an hour. But the monsters in it are dumb looking they try to hard, I don't notice them I see them comming after me and I kill them its that easy. Fatal Frame you have time the right time to use the Camera Obscurta on them to do the most damage on them. Play Fatal Frame with the lights out, surround on, alone in your house, and late at night. If your speakers are good some of the sounds sound like their down the hall or something.

METAL GEAR 4 ENDING WAS ****ING EPIC.

Guess what....i only died ONCE!

RAHHHHHH blud i was sat up until 3 in the morning finishing it..last battle with liquid was immence. CQC with liquid, the health bar changes all throughout the fight for each one of the games in the series...along with the music.

And the ****ing graphics. **** me sideways. the game was amazing, but on top of outer haven, sunset, it looked absolutely ****ing spectacular.

Only thing that annoyed me about the game was the final 45 minute long cutscene, and the one just short of 90 minutes.

I cant ehlp but feel bad though for the people who haven't played the first ones. So much stuff that would make no sense to them whatsoever. It'll be the people who have just gotten the PS3 and it may sway people away from the game....you dont really want to sit there for 90 minutes watching something, with charactors with background storys, talking about past events that your supposed to redo if they haven't played it before.

By the way, returning to shadow moses. Holy ****. I ****ted my knickers.


On the other hand, i traded that in and got battlefeild: bad comapny. It hasnt really done anything to draw me into it yet...grsaphics seem to have a graint feel to them, although there are brillant. Gmaeplay is abit shoddy.....why the **** do they set the control sensitivity to maximum at first....it's like one touch of the pad AND THE GUY WHO YOU PLAY WAS LIKE IN A ****ING WHIRLWIND. I changed it all about, im going to the gym this morning, so ill give it one last proper chance to wow me this morning, otherwise it's getting swapped for grid.

Yeah I haven't really played MGS4 cause I only seen my brother in law play Sons of Liberty on the PS2 once, but I have the MGS pack (the first one from PS1, 2 and 3 on PS2). I don't think it contains things from the other games like the spin offs like Sons of Liberty but I might look into them since PS2 games are cheap.

No 2.40 will bring a massive differance soon as the devs make the rewards for us and allow in game music. Sony laid the slate which allows for it its up to the companies to throw their things in. Once all that goes on you'll see the difference.

Once you start to play Metal Gear Solid 4 and Uncharted you'll be loving it as long as some other great shooters.

Those are a few theres also SOCOM, Metal Gear Online, Home, and Heavy Rain. Theres a ton of great games on the PS3 thats for sure.

-No good games are on it IMO. Halo and Gears is the only reason the 360 is selling. Both games I hate cause theres nothing great about them, I played them both at my brother in laws house. Only 3 games on the 360 I like, Bullet Witch, Dark Messiah, and 99 Nights thats it and those are the only games I play on it.
-$50 a year for live. If you buy a system to play games why not give free online for it? I don't want to keep shoving money in their pockets to play online. I don't even play online a lot so it would be a waste of money.
-Not fun, to me after an hour to 2 hours is enough to last me for months. I haven't played my 360 in like 2 or 3 months now. I haven't played Ninja Gaiden 2 or Alone in the dark, infact thier still in the plastic wrap. I play my wii more then my 360 (mostly playing Resident Evil gamecube games)
-Overrated. You pay more money just for an xbox with better graphics, theres nothing under the hood. The games aren't in HD, it uses last gen discs still (which will hurt them in the long run, not every game is going to put their game in multi discs), no wi-fi (even the wii has wi-fi even the PSP and DS has wi-fi in it!).
-Hardware errors, sure people say it has the best games, but whats the point when you see the 3 fatal red rings? Plus even if you send it off when you get it back theres still the chance it will happen again. Even Cafe members have sent theirs in more then once, some more then 2 times and it takes a month or 2 to get it back (as the normal time I think).

PS3 plays all PS1 and PS2 games and the wii plays all Gamecube games (if you have a GC controller and memory card to save it) Xbox has a real sad list for games from xbox that can be played on the 360.
Free online so theres no rush to play online to get your moneys worth

Nope it has a great range but my chair is like 4 to 5 feet away from my tv, and I just set it in front of my tv, but there should be a problem with people hearing you and if they do you can just movie it closer (has a pretty long usb cable)

But the 80 is $499 its not that bad, or the 40 GB for $399 both good deals but if you want to play PS2 games the 80 is the way to go or get a used one for cheap like $70. But I would suggest to hold off on that with all the games coming out this year and next year.

I wouldn't say best game it was alright at first but the going from the past to the future was a bad thing, same with the combat so laggy.

Assassin's Creed got too repetitive, but the ending with all the writing on the walls was awesome.

Skate 2: 3/3/09 pretty sure thats the day.. saw it a few days ago.. its coming out march of 09. And Shaunwhites game is coming out holiday season of 08. Yeah Resistance Fall of Man is great but Resistance 2 will be a lot better, takes place in the US instead of England this time. Some of the story transfer over from 1 to 2 (like whats wrong with Hale). But I just looked over the list again and you can download all the games I mentioned from the PSN. I already have Mirror's Edge pre-ordered.

But now I have to find my SOCOM code, I entered it a few days ago and I still haven't got an e-mail or nothing to download the beta.

Yeah I just wish games would get patched for trophies, just make the trophies the same as achevments. But at least its something thats never been done before in a game.

They port the game, they port games over to PS3 games made on the PS3 have trophies on it like Bioshock (surely they have new things that aren't achievements since they added a ton of content). Im just wanting all the past PS3 games like Heavenly Sword adn Haze to get trophies (thats something Sony should make sure of in the near future).

But I read on the internet that one thing 360 did was to make it a must to have achievements or they won't let you sell the game on their console.

Yeah Im looking into Resistance as well. But you should get GT 5 prologue cause the graphics are insane, I was going to get the racing wheel for it but $180 doesn't seem worth it when a Madcats is $80 at best buy. I haven't really played MGS4 really need to beat the other games cause its like Lost jump in for that game and you will be lost!

Ohh, well let me know when you do. Either on here or on psn, you got my psn, i-skate, if you coudlnt remember. Its pretty good. only one level for the beta though. and it takes a while to get into rooms so i suggest sticking with a room that has 16 people max. i tried a game with 32 and it loaded for 15 minutes before i turned off my ps3.

I dunno about socom... I played the other ones, and they just don't seem that fun... Maybe not my type of game =/

Socom 2 was easily the best one IMO. When S3 came out they changed everything, graphics, gameplay, etc... But i've gotten used to the new look and i am liking Confrontation. And its cool that the level you play in the beat was from Socom 2. :)

Yea, I sometimes get bored of first person shooters myself... They usually need to have a really good storyline, or fun online play. Bad Company was alright in single player mode, but it got kinda old since you can get killed sooo easily... The online play was really fun, and I'd probably get it just for that.

Well the PSP has 2 players but multi player isn't really needed otherwise it would be one side against the other. The story is great and deep with a lot of stupid remarks my Mao. But the game the 9999 level is the max you can get a person in the game the game really only has 5 levels (but has many parts to the level).

This is great news for people like me, I don't care about the 360s achievements (due its just a number nothing more nothing less) but with the PS3s system each game has its own medal icons gives you a level and how many you've unlocked. Right now Im a level 2 with 32 unlocked with just Drake's Fortune and Warhawk.

Socom already kicks ass. Shaun whites game, im hoping its going to be like skate.. i read up about it and they said you actually going to progress which is what i said skate should do even when it came out. when you start out you can do 360s and ****... them ore challenges you do the better you get.. like youll be able to spin faster..better.. more style and what not. seems soooo sick, then again im a snowboarder so thats why i am loving it so much. 360 has a game called Stoked coming out and it looks so dope too but its a lot of backcountry ( off trail.. woods incase you didnt know) and mountain riding and not so much jumps and jibs which is a bummer.

Shaun whites game, im hoping its going to be like skate.. i read up about it and they said you actually going to progress which is what i said skate should do even when it came out. when you start out you can do 360s and ****... them ore challenges you do the better you get.. like youll be able to spin faster..better.. more style and what not. seems soooo sick, then again im a snowboarder so thats why i am loving it so much. 360 has a game called Stoked coming out and it looks so dope too but its a lot of backcountry ( off trail.. woods incase you didnt know) and mountain riding and not so much jumps and jibs which is a bummer.

I need a decent snowboarding game... I'm going through withdrawals from not snowboarding in sooo long ><.

Oh and, i have a feeling call of duty is going to suck. i saw the back of the box and it wasnt looking like good graphics. it actually seemed like they got worse.

Yea last winter lmao, I went to Washington to visit my friend. She worked at a resort up there so we boarded for free! It was so awesome, until she tore her ACL :(. I want to go soooooooo bad!

Im really waiting for Bad Company to get trophies in it, Im a tropholic! I only have 2 right now (3 with BC gets them). Im mostly buying those with them. Now I have to pick from 2 racing games next week both are getting them next week, don't really like Burnout (from the gameplay) and the other one is just 1 car brand which seems stupid.
