who likes the ripstick?

i was in toys r us today with my mom and they opend a bunch of ripsticks for people to ride. i was ridin it around the store and it was ok but its not nearly as good as a skateboard. you can even do any tricks.



also i ran into some old lady and she startted yelling at me and every body was laughing cuz it was hilarious even the workers were laughing.

You can do tricks on them. They're pretty gay though. There's a vid on YouTube where a guy does a nollie flip on one - search it.

I would just stick with skating, I hate gimmicks.

They're fun to mess around with, that's about it.

Never rode one, want to just for kicks. Looks kind of cool how you don't have ot put your feet on the ground to move after your first push I guess..

i tried my cousins, it was pretty fun for like, 5 minutes. it didnt seem worth the 20 minutes figuring out how to ride it though lol.

it looks pretty boring to me.The only time I probably would ever use one is if I was going to bomb a hill.

they look pretty weird. People need to just buy skateboards. There is that split second when I see it and it looks cool, but then I remember that it's the wannabe skateboard that says "Hey come ride me! I make you cool!!! I am sold at walmart and I have two wheels! Eat that skateboards! SUPREME OWNAGE" and thats when I say "umm...no."

i think theyre way more like surfboards or snowboards than skateboards and i thought it was pretty fun when i first rode one but i agree it gets really boring after while...id love to see reynolds do a fs flip on one of THOSE! :icon_bigg

Yeah he said that his password or something like that changed because he couldnt get on so he made a new account.Everyone is saying that his account got banned or suspended.

Im pretty sure the ripstik is a whole different sport then skateboarding. Its not a gimmick, and its not trying to copy skateboarding, its just a different sport. You people get all edgy over anything remotely like a skateboard.w

dudes ripstick and skateboarding are two completely different sports...i agree with zeroskater1223 yeah skateboardings hella fun, but so is ripstick.....ripsticks just more for the guys who love to surf and or snowboard but also like to go chill at the locl skatepark.......man there shouldnt be any hating on these guys all their doin is tryin to chill and perfect their sport just like all you skateboarders....ive done both, skateboarding a lil bit longer but i picked up ripstick quick from surfing and wakeboarding and man its just as fun as skateboaring.... give it a chance maybe one day itll get big as pushin some wood, but dont be hatin on these guys for likin a different sport than you:icon_peac

I tried one a couple years ago when a random dude saw me skating and he's like " Hey kid I see you can skate why don't you try this out?" I could ride it for ****.

To everyone hating on it, its not that bad, its actually pretty fun to cruise on once in a while when skating starts getting you tired.

Also to learn how to ride switch, learn it on a ripstick then its easier to learn on a skateboard.
