If you read the rules, switch/nollie tricks are allowed but not past shuvits, 180's and the like.

no joke. heelflip is the only flip trick i've ever landed that wasn't freestyle.
i have yet to buy a freestyle board, so i'm still a complete nub at skating.

FS 180s are terribly easy. All you have to have is your ollies down. Just make sure your shoulders are turned the way you want to go when you pop.

Or you can do a FS shove it motion, but stay on the board. I like the first better.

remember when your doing them just look at where u wanna land and your body will follow

Also, I just went back outside for a little while and landed the trick. It's really fun now that I can land it. Don't roll away from it everytime though, sometimes I only spin 90. I'll get footy tomorrow.

That's good. Just get it on film and you're cool.

I can do them but as I explaned to MDeezy it takes about 4 hours to get one little clip and now it's snowing but im going to a skate park i'll to get it there :)

2-3? hours to convert the files to avi.( they email me it after they comverted it)
10 mins. to tape put on my computer and fix it up if i need to.
30min- 1 hour get it on my other computer see if i have to fix it again,put it on wmm,put it on a website (which takes a while on this computer cause it's sorta slow) :(

yea andrew, you have to pop it to make it a 180. i dont think it left the ground. rematch it and try to pop it. remember, you have to stay on the board after the trick. on that first 180, you got off it pretty quick (i guess you were just excited about landing it?). just a friendly reminder.

fs pop shuvit body varials, though appearing easy, are super evil difficult to do cleanly :D

A small spin is a big spin with a shuv it instead of 360 shuv it.

You guys seem confused. A small spin/boomerang/shuvit body varial and other names is a shuvit with a body varial in the OPPOSITE direction. Normally performed with a bs shuvit and fs body varial.

I thought a boomerang was in the opposite direction and a small spin was in the regular direction, since that's how a bigspin goes.

Not in this, but if you can almost do those you should almost definitely be in the Novice GOS. It would be really unfair for the people in this one.

I've been skating for like a month on random walmart boards mostly, got my first good complete christmas day.

6 months, casually, maybe an hour every 3 days over summer.

Yea i'm really mad because i went out side to do 360 shuvits but it's like my body follows the board so i can land regular

So now i can do bigspins but not 360 shuvits:icon_burn :icon_snif

7 months, I skate usually everyday.

if you know the basic fakie shuv, then this will be no problem. that was the first one i landed, but after that first one, i had them down. just scoop a bit more, maybe use your front leg a bit to do the shuv motion, and just forward a lot.

I learned fakie shuvs well yesterday skating with some friends. I'm gonna try tomorrow because my legs and feet are killing me. I was skating from like 2:00 to 1:00.

Can anybody help with the fakie 360 shuvit as i noticed before i can do fakie bigspins and not 360 shuvits.

When i try to do the 360 shuvit the board goes to far forward and i do the body varial out of instict to catch up to the board (weird)

any tips on how to keep the board under me and to get the full rotation?

Well, anyway, I gotta get some more footy for my part in a video.

Got any help on rotation because i can almost do it except me back foot's on it and is perfect but my front foot stays back and it's hard to control it after the initial scoop and my foot lands a couple inches away from the board in the right position thats if i don't big spin by mistake

(sorry for all the questions im just sooooo close)

Try watching the board and watch where you put your feet.

if you just focus on jumping up and forward, you will land them. theyre really not that hard to spin.

EDIT: oh, and try this for the trouble with the big spin bit. focus on keeping your shoulders completely parallel to the board right before you do the trick, then just concentrate on jumping straight up and forward. also, dont lean forward when you are about to do the trick.

if you just focus on jumping up and forward, you will land them. theyre really not that hard to spin.

I almost got them down i just can't get my foot on but i'll get them tommoro because i'v been skating for 3 or 4 hours and i have to go to an ice rink with my friends and i just don't want to be to exausted but i will skate for most of tommoro and all i'll be doing is 360 shuvits and then i'll start practicing all the other stuff i want to learn

Today i got my fakie bigspins down and landed 3 fakie bs flips(varial kickflip 180 to the left)

I don't think i would do good in any other skate games though but i think i might be a little better than other people and i really want to stay.

But i still havn't gotten that fakie 360 shuvit and the bigspins and the 3 fakie bs flips are the only good tricks i know though.

I went skating at night after it had rained all day. Cleaned out my bearings after and hopefully can get a 360 fakie shuv on film. Maybe finally get my kickflips or heelflips down.

I know im not in this game, but still I dont think it would be fair to set a grind because not everyone has a rail/box... plus height differences and whatnot... the only times grinds are appropriate in skate are when you are with your friends in real life all using the same rail.

Why their is no Halfpipe GOS ? Cuz if you do an indy grab out a 5ft halfpipe, or and 15ft halfpipe, their is an big diffrent, and not everybody has an 15ft halfpipe, some are lower, some higher

Not everyone can access it, but people would agree to the tricks whether or not there is a difference in rails and such. That's how it would work.

But that can't work. First off you'd have to decide whether it is rails or boxes. Let's say you chose rails. Then the rail has to be either square or round, because certain tricks like 50-50s are easier square, and it would be unfair. Then the width of the rail comes into play, because certain tricks like noseslides are easier on wider rails. Then you have to do height, because there is a certain point when things like Lipslides become very hard, or when its too low to smith.

The only way this could work if is you all had the same rail (the red 1080 rail is the most common) and after you land the grind and do your handsign, you have to drag the rail to the camera and show that it is at the same height setting that the original set was on.
