i was trying them today, and it really wasnt as hard as i expected. i can do the rotational thing perfect. but i dont jump so i cant land it. when do we have until to match? i have school off tomorrow, no midterms, so ima try skating for a while.

okay... I just posted a few more... A couple have a little more roll away. It's just kinda of hard to get speed in my basement because there's not much space and a couple times I landed on the drain and before the drain the floor is slanted a little downhill and after the drain it slants uphill a little so it's hard to roll away from that when I don't have a lot of speed. Anyways... hopefully there's at least one that will be able to count. :)

The spot is really ghetto/sketchy, it's like a loading dock type thing, but there is only about 6 feet of space to get speed, and then you are at the drop, so nearly all of the impact is absorbed vertically, I don't think I am going to be trying that spot anymore after this though.

And hey any chance we could move the set the set and match times till like 12am because that would give us here in the states a little extra time in the evening on the last day to get a match or set in because for me I get home from work at like 4:30 or 5:00 and then I'm out of luck to even try to get a match on the last day so I lose a day to match. well doing what im doing (rounding to the nearest hour then plussing 3 days) gives everyone the same situation. If a match was set at 10pm my time, that's about 5pm for most of the states people so they get time that i don't. then the next two days both get the full 24 hour days which is equal for both obviously. Then on the final day matching time at 10 gives me a few hours to skate and states people none. Which is an opposite of the first day. therefore we all have same amount of time. But i'm not gonna kill anyone whose like an hour late with their match.

if that sounded complicated then well learning the quadratic equation off by heart was more so.

i got two of those little step ladder things, and put one on each side of me, then i would do the flip and use my upper body strength to support myself and stay in the air, so i kind of hovered while the board was flipping.
It doesn't actually help you JUMP higher, it just sort of proves to your brain that it IS possible, and then after that you just sort of mentally understand how the trick works, and how high you need to jump to get it, then i guess your subconscious mind is all:
"Oh,. NOW I get that S**T, damn."

and then you land bolts. haha

^^ exactly that. Just jump more. :) A lot of it is commitment. I used to have the same problem with kickflips. I'd get a great pop and good rotation but my backfoot wouldn't really leave the ground. I just had to commit and lean forward more. I kept leaning back and so all my weight was over my backfoot making it harder to lift it too.

I might have to try this step ladder thing though. :) It's so true too that you just have to program your mind on how to do the trick and convince youself that it is possible.

what i said was you are so close, the first one was better than the second but the rollaway was a bit short. With a bit more speed, which will be hard with the room you have, you could easily get a better one.

the first one looked good except the rollaway like skates said. It kind of looked like you lost your balance and had to just off but then that could have been because you didn't want to run into the pile of snow. If you could get a little cleaner rollaway then I think it'd be great. Props though because I haven't even come close to getting one yet. :)

Alrighty... It's for sure a hospital flip. It's uploading right now. I'm not very happy with how it turned out because I can do them a lot better, I just didn't get a chance to refilm today and that one was the best I got from the other day. The good news for you all though is that now I'll be lenient if it's a little under rotated. It has to be at least past 90 degrees but if it's not a full 180 then that's fine.

I'm so bad at this i landed a few but they deleted off my camera which is pretty much broken. good news for me is i ordered a new camera so yay, much better quality.

^^ohhh that stinks. Yesterday I went to my old high school to skate on the tennis courts and both batteries I had for my camera died in about a minute each! So I wasn't able to get any footy and I was having a pretty good session.

i do that too a lot but now i can get some like 120 degree ones, getting closer each day, I'll have it tomorrow.

60 euro with the adapter ring thingy so it fits on the 27 mm thread and mailing cost included... i bought it off ebay germany though, so you'll need to find it somewhere else...
