haha yeah at the end you sounded pretty excited to get it. :) I practiced some tonight. I think I have a chance of getting it. I'm pretty close so hopefully a little more practice and I'll have it!

Its the same as a normal impossible with your back foot which is obvious, but with your front, you dont want to lift it up alot, because it will go flying. Just lift it up enough to get a wrap.
And you have good impossibles so it shouldt be hard :D

I can see wrapping being a bit of a problem with some of us.

I hate to be a female dog, but Jakes the only person I've asked so far that said mine didnt count. I'm not going to say names, but I have talked to some freestylers who have said mine should've counted.

But I'm going to be a big boy and take my letter if I cant wrap it. I actually think I'm going to learn them the other way, seeing as I landed a rolling impossible today, but the other way.

Matched yay. I sort of did a tail fingerflip to one-footed tailstop. I didn't actually realise that at the time, it just naturally happened like that. Its such a small difference though, I really hope it doesn't matter.

Learned nosehook impossibles today! Such an easy trick to slip out on though. I already had ollie impossibles for about 2 1/2 years now so it was just a matter of tweaking it around until I got the hang of the hooking part.

dang! I was SO close but just couldn't get it. I got a real nice wrap on my impossibles finally but then could only land on the tail of the board unbalanced. Oh well. :) Nice set!

Well, my set is currently uploading. Sorry for the delay, my computer went haywire the last two nights, I had it filmed like the second day.

Thanks for all the kind words, it's cool to know that people think that my skating is good. That being said, my set isn't all that hard, due to my extrreme tiredness.

It's a sidewinder to nose casper. The difficulty in this trick is in making it look smooth. You can't pause with the board on the ground for two seconds then pick it up. It has to be fast.

Also, I'm fine with people who do 50-50s fromtailstop rather than nosestop doing this from tailstop to regular casper instead of nosestop to nosecasper.

Fun set... just to clarify though because I can't really see it too well... as you're finishing it/going into the casper, did you just pull it up a little, stick your foot under the nose and then just pull the board over/out of casper to land? Also, when you get into the 5050 do you use 2 hands (one to pull the board over and then catch it in the other one) or are you pulling the board up with your foot and just catching it in one hand or does this even matter? haha sorry, but thanks if you can let me know!

from how i do them and how ive seen most people do them u go right from 5050 to casper
the entire board doesnt rest on the ground

But regardless of whether it counts as a true sidewinder or not we're just matching exactly what was set :) If lazerflip had set one like yours then we'd have a bit of an issue. I actually can't comprehend how its possible to hop from the 50/50 to the casper... I tried it after you posted and damn its hard.

Sorry everyone, I just cant continue this. I've had nothing but rain and snow for the past FOREVER so the roads just wont dry, and I dont have a garage. My basement is slick, and it annoys the hell out of my parents when I skate there.

Maybe someone should PM freestyledog and tell him its his set. He hasn't exactly been active in this thread.

And I've taken to using my regular street board as a freestyle board. Its much easier than what I was using, although I don't do railstands on it for fear of destroying the ends of the wheel nuts.

Brandon.... I dunno about putting in a match now. I totally understand but it is super late and I thought you were going to back out because of the weather anyway.. I'd be okay with it if it were just this one time, but I'm worried that you may keep having trouble matching because of the weather. I think you need to decide if you're for sure staying in and can find a way to get your matches up of if it's just going to be too hard with the weather right now and you think you should back out. I hope you can stay because I want you to be in this game, but that's just my thoughts on it. Hope that doesn't upset you or anything.

Somehow I don't think starman will set anything... like his last post was back on the 11th, the one at the start of this thread. It says he's been active as recent as the 23rd, but no posts or even any acknowledgment that he's even on this forum since then.

In a way it'll be good, because those of us who are able to play and are playing will hopefully get a couple of sets against each other - which is sort of fun :)

What say... we don't completely skip starman set... but also let flatlandbran set in the next couple of days aswell (assuming hes in the game, I don't know if he is or not).

So if starman doesn't set and flatlandbran does, all good, we do flatlands trick.
If (somehow) starman sets and flatland doesn't, then we do starmans trick.
If starman goes to set but flatland already has his up, we do flatlands and then starmans after that.
If neither can set, wait it out until its girlsk8rs go.

I mean starman has effectively been out for the whole game, he hasn't even commented on anything. As bad as it would be for him to come back and we skipped his set, he hasn't been participating whatsoever.

gosh I'm so excited for my set. I know exactly what I'm gonna do but the hard part will be getting it all together and on tape. :) I did it once the other day without the camera going so hopefully I can do it again. :)... I'm anxious to see flatlands set too, but I'm glad it's taking him awhile cause I'm getting over strep so I need all the time I can get to rest.

I might give this a shot, but I don't want to destroy my skateboard much more... and theres a pogo in the middle of this trick. Which is gonna shred it to pieces. Good set though.

I wasnt sure on what to set, and someone told me they really liked my wrap around pogo sidewinders so I set one.

My other was a half tailstop hand impossible to casper to tailstop half fingerflip pogo.

I gotta go make dinner and then I'm going to go try to get a match. Hopefully i will :)

Ha, theres no way I'm matching this, pogos are one position I don't like. My foot always slides off the the bottom if I ever try to hop, board flying up at me. Argh! But I might as well learn these sidewinders the proper way instead.

Alright, the main tip for people who cant do non touching sidewinders is this.

When you reach down and grab the truck, dont put your front foot on the nose. Pull up like your pulling something somethe ground, and the board will automatically tilt towards a casper position. When this happens, put your front foot on the back of the tail, hold the handcasper, let go, and land.

Ahh thanks! I was wondering if that was allowed. I thought it was, but if it wasn't I didn't want to be cheating or anything. :) I've got a snow day today so I'll probably skate quite a bit later. We just got in from sledding :)

So I think I might just take the letter on this round. I just can't get a perfect sidewinder and I didn't feel like trying for an hour straight. I've got a match that includes a non-perfect sidewinder, but can't get any better. :) I'd try a little more tomorrow but I think we're going snowboarding so I'm probably going to be really tired. If for some reason I get it I'll post it, but I'm thinking it's not gonna happen. I probably just used a lot more words than I need to, also. haha

That was well smooth! ... now a latteflip is like a 5/4 heelflip from a cooper?

I'll give this a go, although I have very small wheels and very rough concrete so I don't think I'll be able to do the shove it part without it flipping ha. See how it goes.

thanks! Yeah a latte flip is just a heelflip from cooper stance. Yeah the shove it works better on a smooth floor I think, but it may be possible on rougher concrete.

Sounds like you're on the right track. Yes, finding just the right spot for the shove it is hard. You also have to apply just the right amount of pressure and scoop for it to work too. It kept just 1/4 flipping to the right way up for me too. Then the really hard part is putting the two together. I would get the shove it then go to the latteflip and mess up. Then I'd be back to trying the shove it over and over and over again.

Yeah it's really hard putting the two together. That sucks about your headache. I know exactly what you mean by the landing on the ground and bouncing. That stinks.

In almost half an hour of non stop attempts, I landed two rail shove to rails. Just two. And on both, I wasn't even able to get into cooper without the board flipping over as I transfer my weight heh. I think I'll be taking a letter on this one, but no matter because I have the slight ability to do latteflips now :)

Someone tell me when its my set. I have an idea for mine.

Well, I really like caspers. I'll leave it at that until I get one of these things on film. Its been raining a lot. It won't be too hard though.

Probably not heh. I mean this combo I can do relatively consistently now, although the trick at the end I normally do without the rest in front of it... if that makes any sense.

Haha with the intro. Were they all like those hersheys chocolate things? I've never tried landing anything in crossfoot except for kickflips and pop shoves. ONe part I don't really get is which way the board flips in the varial part - inward and toward you or outward and away?

EDIT: Nvm, I got what it does now. Like a 1/2 kickflip direction thing.

^^Ok well I got a chance to try it today and I could not get the cross foot for anything. My feet just did not want to cross. I've got a couple more days so I'll try some more, but it's way harder than I thought it would be.

How much longer to match?

Ok.. I got a match, but I had to do it on a piece of carpet because I couldn't do it outside and I kept slipping out getting into the 5050 on my basement floor. I haven't posted it yet, but I wasn't sure if it would count or not since I used the carpet. I think tomorrow is the last day to match and it's supposed to snow here so I won't be able to do it outside again. I can practice some more just on the basement floor but it's hard for me to get into a stable 5050, but I could get lucky and get one. Let me know what you want me to do!

^ I guess i could allow carpet, but keep trying in your basement if you like. And 1 more day to match I think.

IMPORTANT NOTE!

You don't have to do a 1/2 ollie kickflip into the first casper. I do them because I think they look nicer and I find them easier, but the 1/2 pullover method is also quite fine.

When you match, be careful of the front foot touch on the nose casper. Its easy to land in a nosecasper with your front foot mostly off the end of the board, but still hold the back end up and not realise it.

When you half flip into the 1st casper, it helps to land with your back foot very firmly on the tail, with the wieght on the middle of your foot and not on just all up on your toes. The flip will happen much easier that way. And don't forget to scoop like a bit of a shove it when you do the flip aswell, its not all in the front foot :)

Nice set and thanks for the tips Roboman.... Caspers are one of my biggest weaknesses!!! :) I'm really no good at them at all. I think this may be possible for me but it's going to take a lot of work. Guess we'll see what happens.

But either way I'm not matching. The "freestyle" board I have been using has a missing wheel, leaving just my street board which I don't really do rail tricks on for obvious reasons. I don't want to drop out completely, but chances are I wont be able to take part in the rest of any skate games.

Alright... I think it's possible :) I was able to get the pull up and land on the truck just not hang onto it long enough to start pogoing. I think with a little more practice I may actually be able to do it. I'd be pretty excited too cause I think that trick looks so cool

Like I said, I came close but I kept twisting my thumb and making it pop when I was trying the pull up so I don't want to just keep trying over and over and the only way I'd be able to get it is to try over and over. sorry this is take me so long... I know what I want to set but like I said I haven't even landed it yet and then yesterday I wasn't feeling the greatest and today I've had some type of stomach bug or something and probably won't skate at all. The thought of bouncing around on a skateboard makes me feel sick. But hopefully I'll be feeling better tomorrow and will be able to land it... I guess if not I'll just make it something I easier :) Just thought I'd fill ya in.
