View Full Version : Was your first board outlook or sk8kings Tim-A 02-02-2008, 09:41 PM When you got your first freestyle board it had to be an outlook or sk8kings or maybe something else(please post).and also post what your set-up was Terry Synnott 02-02-2008, 10:57 PM Mullen chessboard drizzle 02-02-2008, 11:05 PM first board was a kevin harris reissue first complete was a primo desiderio complete. FightFlyCrow 02-03-2008, 12:16 AM I think its an odd question. Why are those the only two choices, there have been so many more freestyle companies. My first freestyle board was the Capitol Mini. Tim-A 02-03-2008, 01:13 AM I know that i was just asking this because there the only two companies that sell completes and alot of people have just gotten in to freestyle and they usually order from one of the two companies FlatlandBran 02-03-2008, 08:26 AM Decomposed? Helloooooooooo? Thats where I'll be getting mine from. jmaiurro 02-03-2008, 08:45 AM I know that i was just asking this because there the only two companies that sell completes and alot of people have just gotten in to freestyle and they usually order from one of the two companies There are not the only to companies that sell completes. Decomposed does also, same with Small School. Reverse does. There are more companies man. My first freestyle skateboard was a smallschool single kick complete. AntiHero777 02-03-2008, 09:18 AM Decomposed Renna Purgatory model. freestyledog1 02-03-2008, 09:34 AM powell peralta Kevin Harris Callum Bowran 02-03-2008, 09:49 AM Capital Mini (the white model) with Nicotine Terry Synnott wheels, Nicotine bearings, Nicotine hardware, ECS skids, Tracker Fulltracks... that was the first setup of choice those days, much as it seems a skatekings complete is these days. Unfortunately, for referencing, I can't find any pictures of it. If anyone can remember Witter's old site (www.geocities.com/.....) it's probably on there, but my search yields nothing (all the old ECS/Capital sites have finally been taken off the internet after many years) freestyledog1 02-03-2008, 10:09 AM If anyone can remember Witter's old site (www.geocities.com/.....) it's probably on there, but my search yields nothing (all the old ECS/Capital sites have finally been taken off the internet after many years) http://www.geocities.com/witterfreestyle/frontpage Dog4life 02-03-2008, 10:10 AM The Lynn Cooper FS model. jmaiurro 02-03-2008, 10:12 AM http://www.geocities.com/witterfreestyle/frontpage It's unavailable. bbengyak 02-03-2008, 10:15 AM Eastbilt C. Martin deck, it's still the only FS board I've skated too. freestyledog1 02-03-2008, 10:25 AM It's unavailable. darn! i was just on it too! Eastbilt C. Martin deck, it's still the only FS board I've skated too. that thing looks really wide? well i guess if your used to street boards it wouldn't be much of a jump bbengyak 02-03-2008, 11:22 AM It's a 7.6 or .625, that's what I like about though having the comfortability of a street sized width while still having freestyle features to the board. Callum Bowran 02-03-2008, 11:59 AM Good times, here's the Capital Mini (all the same shape). When Geocities is behaving itself, I'll see if the 'team' model is there (that's the one I had) Terry Synnott's model: http://www.geocities.com/witterfreestyle/terrycptldeck.gif JJ O'Donnell's model: http://www.geocities.com/witterfreestyle/jjcapital.gif FightFlyCrow 02-03-2008, 01:09 PM JJ has a bunch of his boards left, but wouldnt sell me one. I kinda wish he did. bbengyak 02-03-2008, 01:25 PM Wasn't there one other too, a red one with a gun on it? I forget who's model it was freestyledog1 02-03-2008, 01:26 PM nate sherwood bbengyak 02-03-2008, 01:26 PM Never mind it was Nate Sherwood's model. As seen on here http://www.bobstricktips.com/2006/03/freestyle_board_setup.html just scroll down. Callum Bowran 02-03-2008, 01:51 PM Yeah, that was the first double kick freestyle board Capital bought out I think, then they went to more traditional freestyle shapes, hence Capital 'Mini'. I can't find a picture of the team model, but imagine the building shown on JJ's and Terry's models in the centre of the board, straight and in black ink with a white background. Kayce - I thought JJ was in love with popsicles now? No disrespect to him, but I highly doubt they're going to be collectors items. Aslong as he's got one to keep for a memento why bother having a load of them? jmaiurro 02-03-2008, 07:56 PM Good times, here's the Capital Mini (all the same shape). When Geocities is behaving itself, I'll see if the 'team' model is there (that's the one I had) Terry Synnott's model: http://www.geocities.com/witterfreestyle/terrycptldeck.gif JJ O'Donnell's model: http://www.geocities.com/witterfreestyle/jjcapital.gif Is that the JJ board that you see Tony Gale with in his old video's? FightFlyCrow 02-03-2008, 10:45 PM JJ does ride really large double kick boards now(8.25 wide is his preferance). I am not sure why he keeps them, but he has a stack of about 6. Callum Bowran 02-04-2008, 02:35 AM Jake - That's the one! aErosk8. 02-04-2008, 02:50 AM stingray XD lazerflip 02-04-2008, 05:03 PM Meta:Flight. The flight was actually a really good deck. I never really did any flippy stuff back then, but it was great for cruising some wheelies and whatnot. sk8boarder 02-04-2008, 09:15 PM Decomposed Skeletal Kangaroo. Still rockin' the same board, it's really awesome, nice size, well, for me at least, haha. mainefreestyle 02-05-2008, 06:13 PM today i might order a board from doecomposed :) fogle 02-05-2008, 08:43 PM well my very first board was a walmart one, my first real one was a gravity one, then I got an element, then 2 plan B's...when I started freestyle I used walmart boards for the pogos and rail tricks, but i recently ordered one from outlook so I guess my first freestyle board will be outlook! mainefreestyle 02-07-2008, 07:01 PM i just orderd the JESTER Its SicK RubberOnion 02-07-2008, 07:41 PM Kryptonics Singer seth 02-07-2008, 09:28 PM my first real board was a mystery linsey robertsons deck. it was awesome for freestyle too jmaiurro 02-07-2008, 09:35 PM Jake - That's the one! Would be nice to own one of those. Trebor 06-15-2008, 05:20 PM my first board was and still is my current fs setup decomposed canguru 2 deck bullet trucks sk8kings crown jewels such a nice board i really like it Genji 06-18-2008, 07:21 PM Small School "Goke" double kick Crown Jewels and lousy Element trucks Neo IZK 06-19-2008, 02:45 AM Modded "Con" single kick from small school. Though it's still being cut... Nameless 06-19-2008, 03:01 AM My TRUELY first fs board was a wacked-out street deck; Deck: 7.75 Zero Wolf Thomas Deck Trucks: Yocaher Trucks Wheels: 60mm Spitfires Bearings: Bones Reds Bushings: Shortys kingpin upgrade kit... So I guess I'm choosing "other"... But then again... I bought a Sk8kings afterward... :icon_conf dodge 06-20-2008, 01:58 PM Mine was a freakstyle 4 from decompsoed I learnt so much of that deck and made me fall in love with single kicks as when I went onto a double all I wanted to do was go back and skate a single. and still have it I really wont to but it up on my wall alone with my other coupel of decks. |
