Trick Limitations-
8-10 People left: Basic tricks, only flip tricks are heel flips and kickflip, can be normal or fakie but no other variations (e.g varial flip) except from landing variations, like X foot and Kickflip sex change. Shuv its, body varials and 180 ollies are allowed, bonelesses and cavemans allowed, but a max of 2 steps for cavemans. No nollie or switch tricks.

5-7 People left: Basic variations of flips tricks allowed, e.g 180 flips and varial flips. All other tricks mentioned before allowed. Simple nollie and switch tricks allowed, only simple shove variations.

2-4 People left: All tricks allowed

Time Zone is Eastern US.

Quick rule check-

1. All tricks must be done rolling.

2. Once the board leaves it wheels, it must land on all four wheels. No rail landings, manual landings, caspers, or 50-50s. No hands on board. No hands or feet on the ground, before or after trick.

3. When matching or setting, the trick must be done fairly clean. No toe-drag, the skater must be moving, with both feet solid on the board. You cannot stop and then tic tac away, you must land and roll away.

4. When you are selected to set, you have 3 days to set a trick, if you fail to set the trick you will be given a letter.

5. Players are given 4 days to match the trick, this can be made shorter when there are fewer players in the game, failing to match the trick also results in a letter.

6. No trick can be set more than once.

7. The game is run by the Eastern US time zone, so all tricks much be matched and set by the time stated in Eastern US.

8. When you match or set a trick, post it up in the thread called “Beginner Game of SKATE tricks thread” this makes the tricks easier to locate instead of sorting through millions of pages of discussion. I will also have a link to the tricks thread in my signature to make it easier.

9. When you match or set a trick, after you have landed the trick you must make the sign that is shown below, in front of the camera, any tricks without the sign will not be included.

i was trying a double kick off this ledge and i land in the middle and on the nose. CRACK

so i grabbed my old board with the broken nose and put the trucks on. i skated a lil more and then CRACK thru the middle. so now i am boardless.

but i am hoping to get a blank in a few days

I didn't get to match because i'm grounded for 2 weeks. :( Hopefully I can get off early though. (From now on, i'll match when my parents aren't home). :)

I don't know how, but look up a bearing cleaning guide, maybe the one written on here and just about everyone will tell you that WD-40 kills your bearings. I always clean mine by first cleaning all the crap off with keroscene, then adding bones speed cream. You should try that.

WD-40 doesnt kill your bearings. if your bearings are so bad they are barely rolling, i.e. rusted, use WD-40, because they are already screwed up.


WD-40 isnt the best thing to use though, as pears said, because it is used normally to fix squeeky hinges and un-rust screws & bolts, plus quite a few other things that have low-friction.

you shouldnt use WD-40 on bearings that are working fine, because not only is WD-40 water-based; it literally eats away a little bit of metal when you use it. because its water-based, it isnt good for mechanisms that have a lot of friction, like a skateboard bearing. not to mention all the junk that gets trapped in your wet bearings, like dirt and other gross stuff.


brandon, in your case i would definitely use the WD-40, but make sure you get them spinning good then wipe off as much of the black dirty liquid as you can. :)

Pearso, I'm too lazy to tell the whol story but right now, I have blank deck and possibly different trucks, then the rest is walmart, so WD-40 would deffinitly help, plus I don't care about them. They dude roll on their own when I move them with my hand and squeaked really bad too.

ok i am just reading the rules and i don't agree with some. ( i copied and pasted from last beginner game of skate)

this is a Beginner's GOS we need to make things a lil' bit better/easier

here are some new changes:

-you can land in a tail stop or wheelie type thing as long as you end up with the whole board on ground and rolling away

-a lil' bit of toe touch is fine as long as its not a whole foot

- roll away does not need to be huge but needs to be actually rolling

Sounds good. I think the tailstop should be a little different, maybe. I doubt if you land in tailstop you would roll away anyway though. Landing in 'wheelie' sounds good though, its easy to do that when learning new tricks.

I agree with the same logic thing that pearso is saying but I consider varial heels on a higher scale of tricks, compared to things we will be doing here at the start. I say wait until later but thats just my opinion.


For a varial kickflip, you don't need to know how to kickflip. It might help but, I learned varials before kickflips easily in a couple hours.. On carpet but you get the idea.

Haha chill boys I'm just mucking round. I understand that varial heels are much harder, just wanted to put it out there that on the technicality side of the tricks varial heelflips are very similar to varial flips.

We had a GOS and after about 10 mins of gay little tricks and him doing some russion boneless way of cheating, he sets stuff on obstacles?!!? He was doinga ll these gay grabs off a little kicker and thats how he won :( .
