Tony Hawk, probably the most recognized name in all of skateboarding (don't argue that please), has a great interview in the USA Today! He talks about his successes (video games, amusement park rides), his business, and most importantly, the fact that "in the end, I just want to be known as a skater."! 2 Thumbs up for this interview, it is a must read!

good on, tony will never stop, he'll be like jordan except still do what he does instead of spend all his time on the golf course placing bets

To me his foundation is what really makes me admire him. He gives so much back to skateboarding

If it weren't for his video games I probably wouldn't have been so interested in skating.

i like tony hawk as a skater, but i think selling his name for just about every product under the sun has become a bit too much. i like money too, but there is a point when you start diluiting your brands value when you do it too much. i think the amuzement park rides and some of the other non-skateboard stuff that he does hurts his image as a skateborder.

I don;t know about that, I think he has successfully turned alot of people onto skateboarding that would never have even thought about it before.

I don't think he has diluted his brands. A lot of people would never even have the intrest to start skating if they didn;t play his video games. Also I still haven't seen a bobble head of him yet.
