Almost got my hands on a German Sachs moped this summer, but since that fell through I'm content with my 1969 Honda Mini Trail.

a huge trend in Japan for a long time and one coming up in America, I'm tempted to get into one, is the moped modification scene. There are some awesome mopeds out there.

If you go to college then yeah to get from point A to point B then no get a real sports bike. I used to go riding with my mom's boyfriend till cops where a ****, since when do you need a motorcycle license to drive one that only goes 30 mph? Speed limit on busy roads are at least 40.

it took me everywhere and it was fun and gay at the same time. Tons of laughs on that thing for sure and if you dont give a danm what people think go for it. Its aint no big deal plus gas is hella expensive and you get like 100+ miles/gallon. Berfore I sold it I painted it flat black and took them pipe sleeve off, it was hella loud!!!!

hahahha, i used to have one like that!! mine was red. i called it the nerd mobile. i wouldn't be seen around town with it, but it was fun to ride on dirt roads in the back of my subdivision with my friend on the back (yea, it was pretty close, lol).
hahah. one time, we had to go by a bunch of kids my age, which was embarrassing enough, but to make it worse, the FRONT FENDER FELL OFF AND I RAN OVER IT in from of them!! it was soooo horrible!
i went to go back to get it, but they took it, the retards! we came back a little and they had put it back in the road, lolz. good times.

Where i live, only chavs ride them and they have ridiculously small and loud engines. On top of that they look ridiculous with there trackys and cheap trainers.

So I went to go visit a college yesterday, and there were a few mopeds parked around. I was following a group of gelled hair popper collar jerks and overheard them saying, "man I couldn't rock a moped, how could I get chicks? Those things are gay."

They look kind of dumb, i'm not gonna lie. It's definitely an economic way to get around though.

who cares what other people think? anything like a motorcycle, moped, motor scooter, dirtbike, they're all sweet and mad fun to ride. I have a small klx dirtbike and I used to cruise around the streets for hours on that thing. I rarely use it anymore because it's so small and I can't afford to get caught by cops but I imagine a moped would be just as good, and probly more comfortable. if you're afraid of what others think then yes they might think it's uncool for whatever reason, but that's they're problem, you'll be having fun on it and saving mad gas while they're busy talkin their self righteous bull****.

I wouldnt get a moped because in my opinion they arent really that cool or fun because I got one and its boring lol.

I would def get one, if the people around atlanta didnt drive so f'ing crazy. I would end up getting hit if I drove one. Plust it would be freaking sweet to ride up to a skate spot/park, get off and just hit it up. Instead of parking your car in a lot, and walking. I would pimp the fluck out of a moped all day. Plus the gas!!!!

So no. Mopeds are definately out. It makes me cringe when they wop up next to me at lights revving their little hairdrier engine and bouncing up and down wanting a race for some bizarre reason. I am of course talking about British Chavs and their SR50s and speedfights etc. They usually whack some sort of baked bean can on the exhaust to make it sound like a really loud and offensive hairdrier.

A few months back my dad bought mz 49 cc moped for me out of now where.

a couple months ago a car pulled out in front of me and i swerved into gravel and slid it for 10 feet or so and it got pretty scratched on the right side so we took the plastic off and got it repainted. Pink where the tan is and we repainted the black and the front fender is pink. And as If its a moped it cant get any gay'r honestly but it is fun to ride. It also took off the exaust on it and it sounded real beafy and as blowfish said "hairdrier engine" but it was as loud as my dads yamaha vstarwhich is pretty loud. Only got in trouble with the law once but that was for me riding it at 1 am when curfue was at 12. The officer said as long as it dosent go faster than 30 mph and is under 50 cc it was ok for me to ride :). I didnt tell him tho that it gets up to 45
