I just found out I've been skating a 7.5"x30" mini! That's what my new Label deck is...I'm not quite sure what to think about that, I never thought I'd be able to skate such a small deck so well. I love it though.

Because I'm the only one that skates no matter how cold it is (below freezing? Pssssh, who cares). Until it gets up to like 60 degrees, it's fairly abandoned. Also, I skate during the day usually when everyone is at school. The only people there with me are the old-school pool rippers, and the street park is all mine. We have a SUPER nice pool.

During the summer it will be warm and everyone will be out of school, and it will be MOBBED. They shut down another really nice park nearby to remodel it, and we'll get all those "customers" too.

Man i wish my town had a park :( 2 people killed skating so far from being hit by a cars one by a motorcycle too... kinda sad city still says we wont need a park...they think skatings just a fad, which sadly in my town it is.. skatings practically dead here, like 30k people in my town and i only know of maybe 30 skaters,only 10 that actually skate regularly

I loved Lewis Marnells part. Chris Woods was great too but Shane's and Duncombe's parts both dissapointed me, I've seen better from the both of them.

It's a shame. It was set up as a tribute to Shane but there honestly wasn't the very best footy of the kid.

Google search windows movie maker if you want a free video editor, what i use, free, easy to use, and works pretty nice, not all that many options on it but it has slow mo and some others

my matches will be up later, youtube isn't working right for me, no video hosting site is, they're all laggy and stop after 2 seconds and wont play. so i can't see anybody else matches.

Sorry guys, I just got my operating system to be stable. I haven't been on for like.. two days now; I've been too busy recompiling the kernel to run PCLinuxOS more smoothly, like it was when I was running Fedora. Anyways, I'm back now, and I have computer access again. Match for small spin / FS 180 should be up tomorrow after I get home from school.

Keep trying lad, the thing I found that helped was to keep your shoulders facing forward so that you don't have to rotate your shoulders in mid air, you can just swap your feet.

coool, black label. looks good. i wanna learn how to do that.

It's a little bit of a process, but it's rewarding. There may be an easier way, but this is how I know to do it...it will take about 15-20 minutes a picture. I takes a LITTLE practice, very little.

1) get video in Windows Movie Maker
2) pause at the desired beginning frame of your trick
3) hit the "Take Picture" button at bottom right of the preview screen
4) advance by frames while paused (4th button from right on preview screen)
*NOTE- you will not want snapshots of all frames, probably just every 3rd frame or so, preview them first so you can pick the most steezy lookin ones
5) take snapshots as desired, I like to get 8-12 depending on the complexity of the trick
6) open a new MS Paint document and under "Image>Attributes" change the Width and Height to about whatever your desktop is set at in pixels
7) open snapshots one at a time using Internet Explorer, right click to Copy
8) Paste in paint and trim as needed
9) Repeat, cropping and aligning sequences as desired
10) BOOMSHAKALAKA

but in the rules its under tricks that can't be set first round right? so i can set it second round. If i'm misunderstanding and that means you can't set them at all,then people shouldn't be able to set varials since its also under tricks that can't be set...

Yeah, no tres. Those are for the Beginner (as a stretch, actually) GoS - not the Learners GoS. I'm sure there are some of us that can hit those. But for the rest of the LGoS who are learners, busting out a tre should definitely not be set in Round 2.

Im gonna have to step in and say no tres, also. Tre flips are first round NOVICE GOS kind of tricks, too advanced for right now.

3rd round, however, is anything goes.

Dont have your foot so far off the edge, what i always did, always overflipped or landed primo. put your foot like halfway on the board, once i figured that out, i land them almost every try perfectly

I feel like I lack the development of a high enough ollie to get this trick. Plus it's raining cats and dogs and I can't find a flat dry spot for the life of me. You notice that video, the ground is slanted and it's wet, not that as an excuse...

Varial Heel is pretty much equivalent to a Varial Kickflip for those of us who have a much easier time landing heels over kicks.

You might want to check out Beginners or Novice, as Learners is obviously too easy for you. Although, we'll see in Round 3. :)

Worked on varials ad nauseum again this evening. You know what I realized as I was trying this trick again and again and again? I started to take it out on skateboarding. And I was getting so mad! I started to hate skateboarding, because I wasn't having any fun. And man...damn...that's just so important to me. Therefore I officially quit this trick, haha. And that's that.

I hate my varial kick. With a passion. I landed on my ankle a couple of tries afterwards, so I'm just putting up what I have as of now - I'm honestly not trying to skate on my ankle for at least a day or so, so if it doesn't count (because the wall came up and I ran into it), I really need at least another day.

I generally do all my tricks fast as hell and low to the ground, rodney mullen style. i just like the way it looks, i can go high on stuff as well, just like it better low and fast
