I want us to be strict with matching and get our tricks as clean as possible but for sets I don't care so much. It's no big deal if we have to wait around for a day or two right? Besides, the rules say we kick people out who don't set on time and I'd rather a game where we don't randomly drop people coz they can't film for a day.

^I've tried straight up no complys and they hurt your knees badd. and it sucks when in the end you never learned them. i never could get my front foot back on.

My advice is wear Knee pads.

I don't do straight one's without my pads.

I bust out F/S ones all the time though and 360 ones inconsistently. They are an Uber fun trick.

I have a really cool video for my match tonight. I had a blast sessioning this awesome little ghetto spot today that I cleaned up. Worked on it with a shop broom for about an hour before I could even start skating it, buncha' broken bottles and syringes (eek!) and rocks about.

Unfortunately I have to go out to eat with my girlfriend and her parents right now...so I'll make the vid and get it up as soon as I get back!

If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again.

And guys. The GOS video is gonna be pretty hard and stressful I can tell already. So I think someone who has good editing skills should also volunteer to make the video just incase i drop out(I'll try my hardest not to if nobody else commits to making it) because I just don't think I have good enough editing skills to do it. I'll still do it, but i'd be ALOT more happier if someone else could volunteer to do it also, and it doesn't even have to be someone who played in it does it?

Its not that thier insanely hard or anything, im just horrible at no complys in general :P but i think its a perfectly reasonable set for this game..dunno about round 2 only though

I want to do a trick that people can learn (and keep you in the game too) but I've kinda put myself in a pickle.

Possibly. I'll most likely already be out. I learned bones varials kickflips and almost hardflips in just a short 30-50 minute session.

Honestly it took me more goes to land the Boneless shuv than the set. Just learn them first with pivots then try them clean.

If your not gonna roll away then don't bother posting. I don't like telling people to re-match but since it's second round It's gonna have to get a bit stricter.

It said you can tic tac after you land but you have to land rolling. Like if you come to a dead stop after only turning 270 then just tic tac away a second later there's just no point.

Sure, I'll try again tommorow. Was that too much revert? Coz I'm probably not going to get them any cleaner than that. I'll make sure there's no toe touch next time.

If you pause it you can tell all my wheels landed at the same time and didn't slide. And in the rules it says light toe touch is allowed as long as you keep rolling. Can you watch my set again then check the rules.

I'll get it cleaner anyway. It's good practice for when I start taking them down kerbs and stairs.

Yea, foot placement. To get the spin put your front foot hanging off the toe side of the board like you would for a front shuv or a heel. Maybe put your back foot further heelside to again push the board around.

Make sure you work on foot placement and experimentation. Besides, if you can do them with a pivot then you can learn them clean. I'd never tried them clean before and as soon as I figured out that foot placement trick I got one second go.

Nah, there was no pivet in that its just the way it was filmed, i did it low as hell to the ground and because someones holding the camera it looks like it hit

i think that you should rematch and get a clearer match so that we can know for sure.

Watch it in slowmo, and pause it like every frame, you can see it doesnt touch at all, its not a perfectly full 360 rotation, but its good enough to count i was just a bit short of it

The revert rule desn't aply the way you think. It's just so people don't set a kickflip to revert and stuff. As long as the tricks clean, over 270 and has roll-away I'll probably count it.

I got my 360s down now, thanks to pooldog forcing me to learn them, this GOS has improved me so much in so many ways i would +rep you all but i think i already repped everyone to much and have to spread it around now :P

It's annoying, there was a fight between Ratman and Swordsman on this page but it got taken down. It would have explained it perfectly too.

Ratman was very relaxed about the whole thing. He called Swordsman an A$$ then he said goodbye and left. fsc was his goodbye account. For some reason Swordsman came here and was really happy about getting him banned and gloated and junk but I think those two had a little war going on through PM's.

Don't blame Swordsman. He had his reasons, and he was just being over-zealous. There wasn't any real hate behind it. It just sucks that I lost my puffy haired, Hemisphere homie. Now I'm the last guy left down here. :(

It's been awesome guys I've learned a huge amount, and tried tricks I never would have and never would have known I could land. This was a huge boost in my development of beginning skills. It overflows into my street skating which is my true love. Flat tricks are really kind of meaningless to me, but I see how they have helped a lot in other areas on the street.

My new project is to "go underground for a little while" (LOL) & make a complete video of skating/hanging out downtown with lots of good spots and using the tricks I've learned here, while continuing to develop others (hopefully get some sick stair set hammers and quirky spots in the city). I hope to at least get a little cinematic value and capture this beginning phase of my skating, so I can look back on it when I'm more skilled and smile.

They are. My only problem is that I either overrotate them into Bigflips, or don't flick at all and do some strange fakie b/s shuv.

Mine just didnt flip at all, got a perfect rotation usually, in the one i landed on film its pretty crappy, landed in a bit of a manuel but itll count just sketchy, 10 minutes later i landed one waaay better and didnt film it

I'm staying optomistic on this one. Hell, it's probably the next step after kick's anywhay.

Really, i didnt have a problem at all with over rotation so i couldnt help you at all there, but if yourusing your shoulders alot like we have with alot of the cab tricks in this game, dont, your shoulders arent near as important on this trick just pretend its a fairly easy once you figure it out

theres 2 overratings. i dont know which one you mean so i will explain both.

-over flipping///jump higher so you can catch it on its grip. just as soon as you see the grip, stomp it. just watch your board.

-over spinning///just pretend its a halfcab. are you swinging your arms/shoulders? dont do that. thats possibly what is the problem. try just turning the board and flicking. so pivot like 30 degrees or lesser, then pop it, turn it, then flick it a LITTLE, and then lock it, and then drop it. the reason why i say flick a little because its going to keep flipping because you are in the air longer then normal. just remember to keep your legs out the way so you could catch it and it will flip.
