I just learned two tech tricks today, which would probably give most people letters. I hope I make it to round 3 so that I can set them ^^

How many games you gonna play in? and nice set rheng. i think im gonna learn them even though im out.

And for ther partner game. It will prolly be only an 8 person game cause it will take a LONG time since you'll have to be with your friend to match and set. so like 5-6 days for matching and setting. so you have to be patient.

guess what guys. i nearly learned inward heels and backside heelflips. but there are problems with them. my inwards, i land my front foot straight on the back bolts. and my back heels, i got the perfect 180 and flip, but it always only half flips.

im not setting them in this game though, too next classes tricks.

partner doesnt even have to be a member of the cafe. it can be if you live by them. and if they don't have 100+ posts and their your partner you'll just have to do all the posting of the matches/sets. just so we know they'll stay with it. like my friend im gonna play with as my partner made an account and is hardly on.

Well, seeing as how I just learned them sketchy yesterday, I would hope they weren't impossible. I'd think late inward heel would be 10x harder.

Backfoot Varial heel is (for me) semi-sliding the backfoot up the griptape after you ollie, then kicking that foot at a diagonal. Kind of like you would a semi-flip, but that's more of an underflip motion. Definitely the most tech (if only tech) trick that I can do, by far.

I wouldn't set it, though, as this is still a Learners GoS. It's the only Novice trick that I can do. I would still be out 5 matches into the game.

^^ you shouldn't your going to need to learn them to improve in skating. theyre like one of the building blocks in skating. just keep trying.

As some of you may know, I'm in the theater production at my school. I just got home (10:07 PM), and it's going to be like this until our show goes up Saturday, on which I'll have a little leeway in terms of an empty schedule, so I was hoping to have until Sunday for the match (I know that's asking SO much, I'm so sorry). We're not allowed to have rehearsals after the show starts, so I'll be free afterschool every day next week, including a tidbit of Saturday, and all of Sunday.

For courtesy's sake, I'll try to get my set in at school. Try, being the operative word, as we're not technically allowed to skate at my school (and, as TRALALALA said, it's been raining cats and dogs in our area for days). But I will try to get my set in within the next couple of days, because it would be completely rude to freeze this game. But I'd still appreciate the extra time to match, if it's able.

Well we know what level we're at. I geuss it had to happen sooner or later. No-one wants to be out of their dapth so everybody joins th game below their level. There's a huge gap between Bgos and Lgos.

I don't know what it was . . . all I know is it's a pain in the ass getting the flip on the board. I'm used to doing them frontside, not backside.

Well I figured it's easier than an actual inward heel. I was just going to say that No-Comply's are ok as long as their equivelent's ok. . .

If you want to re-set you can but I think it's a good set. It's perfectly do-able.

Thank god, ive rolled my ankles and sprained them so many times over the years that, when i hurt them it doesnt really hurt but for like a minute or so, i just cant move them right >_> and every time i kept trying it the board just flew all crazy and **** lol was getting annoying, but yay at least i dont have to rematch it again tomorrow

That fakie ollie pivot is really just another way to do a half cab. I think fakie ollie pivots are just a fakie ollie (no rotation) then a full 180 pivot.

Not that I planned on it, at all.

But people were setting BS Flips / Fakie BS Flips / No Comply Heel-Side Pressure Flips / Full Cabs. As chrisrox said, we're just moving to the level that we've for some reason established ourselves at already. I came in looking forward to FS Shuvs, half cabs, etc. Somewhere along the line, however, a few of us got really comfortable with going up difficulty. I can't kickflip at all ( 1/10 ), I can't do a thing switch/nollie (other than shuv variations), etc.

I had all of my sets planned out a long time ago, when the game first started - FS Shuv, Heelflip, Fakie FS Bigspin, Boneless 180 Handflip (in that order). I had to change it once it was obvious that people here were capable of doing BS flips (which I can't do, as it's still a kickflip).

It doesn't help that I came onto this thread with 103 posts, as well.

However, the moment someone decides that we're going to tone the game way down again, I'm all in for it. It would just seem redundant, since the remaining skaters are not basic skaters ( TRALALALA, we know about your twisted flips ^_^ ).

I'm only able to skate in my basement/garage when my parents aren't home, which they are, so I'm unable to skate until it stops -_-

As for the half cab heel, FS heels have always come pretty naturally for me. Not in the way that they're solid, but the way they feel is pretty natural.

I use my shoulders a lot, with my back foot a little loser to the edge than I usually have it. I start it off like I would a half cab, but kick up and out, using a circular motion to bring my back foot back (while my body is still rotating), and land around 160-170 degrees.

I'm sorry if I'm not making any sense, I've had a cold all day and am feeling quite lightheaded.

Yeah the learning curve is a lot faster when you're playing SKATE. I would say that.

It just helps to push you harder and make you better.
