Ok, I get that an ollie is kind of like a rolling motion, I can get like maybe a foot off the ground or less, what could be my problem, timing?

Theres nothing wrong with 12 inches of high, or even less. Just keep practising. If your getting that height, I'd say your timing is good, just work on jumping higher, popping harder and sucking your knees up. Good work.

practice. it's all in the practice. If you can land it all down correctly, then you've got your ollie. it just takes practice to get a high ollie

But when I try to get a high ollie the board doesnt really come off the ground with me.. it is always falling behind me.. any help?

A lot of kids I see trying to ollie and not doing it well are all stiff and don't really set themselves up correctly. Make sure you're moving at a decent rate, set your lead foot back far enough behind the front bolts to give it room to slide up the board, put your trailing foot way out on end of the tail, bend your knees to prepare for the ollie, really pop the tail hard, and guide the board in an upward motion with your lead foot. Pull your knees up to your chest at the top to maximize the height.

i cant ollies that high, but i can ollie a few things. to ollie down things u just need speed, height doesnt really matter. but over and up things r different

Your problem, is also probably patience. You need to learn to practice alot more, ollies take a while to perfect...

a foot really isn that bad. keep practicin and jump higher, and tuck your knees in. focus on the knee thing it helps me

You understand the basic ollie... now just jump higher and really pull your legs up and use your front foot to level out. Starting slow really helps. Thats all there is to it.
