This is going to be the official Guitar Hero game of G-U-I-T-A-R thread. Heres the rules:

1) 10 people will be allowed to sign up.
2) No song can be set twice on the same difficulty.
3) 3 days to set 4 days to match.
4) To not get a letter on a set song you have to tie/beat their percent notes hit or tie/or beat their score. If someone 100% a song then you may 100% it or somehow get more points with a lot ofstar power.
5) First round is going to be anything on easy through expert but no super hard songs on expert like one,cloves of dover, through the fire and the flames, raining blood ect...
6) GUITAR HERO 3 ONLY. Dont set freebird on expert please...
7) No setting the same song twice.
8) To set or match you either need to film the song or atleast end of the song or take a picture of you doing the handsign (one thumb up one thumb down) in front of the screen that shows your percent notes hit and score.
9) Competition starts on April 8th. So the first person will have until the 11th to set.
10) Out of town people can recieve extensions otherwise failure to set gets you kicked out.
11) Order will be picked out of a hat after I have all the names.

Yeah those are fine because I KNOW someones gonna be itching to set Through the Fire and Flames :p. Also ALL songs go except for ThroughTFAF (on expert) and Devil went down to Georgia (on expert) in the second round.

I was thinking about the match rule. Would it be ok if say Jon sets a song and gets 98% that theres a 2% banking area for matching. Therefore steve gets 96% and no letter? I like that because if someone 100% a song I think 98% is a decent match.

Ok thats true BUT I can get 98% on a certain song on expert that MOST people can barely beat so I could give a lot of people a hard time. Also if john sets SONG on expert and gets 93% i could set the same song and get 100% so that way people may not get a letter from him but do from me. This is meant to be for fun anyways. On the next game we can use what works and drop what doesnt.

Sorry about the monday thing but I have some :icon_bs: reasons and its better than me being the host saying I need an extension for the first set. Giving people a couple days will let some guys warm up if they havent been playing and others get a cameera ect...

Another rule should be, no downloadable content, but bonus songs are alright. Cause some people dont have 360s so they cant do downloadable content. Also Devil Went down to Georgia can't be played. Cause on the wii, which I have, you can only play it in the battle, you can never play just the song.

All the songs not alloweed in the first round are posted in the set/match thread. I would also prefer for the other people that youdont 100% rock you like a hurricane in the first round just because it isnt on the list. Everyone should deserve to have fun...atleast for the first round ;)

Why not hyperspeed? I am so used to playing hyper speed that I have trouble playing regular. It isn't really a cheat so i don't see why it isn't allowed. And I can't have a gamertag showing I have the wii so there is no gamertag. i think just the thumbs up should be acceptable.

If someone finds regular speed tough, then their hyperspeed might be just as normal to them as regular speed to us. Get it?

actuaslly hyper speed just makes the illuesion that the notes are coming faster when in fact the ntoes are but they are more spread out, even in hyper speed 5, master the beginning to a song like cliffs od dover, then put it on hyper speed and play the axact same thing, it will work, it juts makes the illusion the notes are coming faster and makes people lose faster

i just think its confusing and should be out of the game^^^

and for gamertag i think he meant username for the cafe. so i'd have a piece of paper that says "AceOfJacks21 Skaterscafe"

Ughh my first attempt i got 98% and 123,573, second =98% hit 140,345. I got this easy squeezy I just want throw a RADIO DOWN at the lead singer off of some huge building cause she is so annoying.

My red button used to get stuck. Atleast try it. I dont remember if I popped the button off or just got some on it but I can tell you it worked real good.

It might not be that, some GH3 controllers mess up because of the detatchable neck. I have to like push the neck toward the body while I play for my yellow button to work.

My yellow button stuck before. Take apart the next if you can and just clean up around the button.

The only attack that Lou got was the amp overload. He used like 3 of those but they really dont affect me. I always got whammy and double note attacks so It was a lot of luck. I tried it like 10 times last night for the heck of it and couldnt beat him.

The thing Im looking at though and see it like this:

Everyone except ONE person matched the first song. I had the lowest score of anyone to match. I had like 140,00 some and everyone else was in the 150,00's. So the way I look at it everyone else is just as good or better than me. I dont believe this set is much harder than radio song 98% but like I said I could change it.

well the hardest part is the intro part. the easiest way for me to pass that was to use my ring and middle finger for the blue and yellow. and keep shifting my hand up a bit for my index to push the green.

Good idea, but I guess my fingers were stronger form guitar so I could just spread my 4 fingers across and use the 3 of them. It's a fun intro.

Yeah, I strum up and down for most of the song. I don't know, just practice I guess, and try to get more comfortable with alt strumming, it really helps in this song. Good luck.

So far Ive got 88%, 89% and 92%. My strumming is fast but like my arm just takes breaks whenever it feels like so Ill miss like 5 notes in a row. i think i might possibly get this.

the best tip i can give you is do the song normally. find a spot with alot of notes that you can keep a 4x multiplier.

then do the song again and hit that spot with star power.

that's how i did it anyway.
