Care to explain the rules? Haha sorry and do i need a video camera? Would it be a problem if I just recorded my bass playing then said some word at the end to confirm that its me?

I have no idea how good you guys are lol. I'll probably play 96 quite bitter beings or seek and destroy, or thunderhorse if i can pull it off on bass (not likely).

Btw, how long should each entry be? We talking like 2 minutes or more like 20 seconds?

Yeah dude I always play with a pick, but thats because I have been playing guitar years longer than i have bass. I can't get used to the whole fingering thing. I might learn the bass solo in Hammer Smashed Face. I'll probably just do another dethklok song, and some stuff off of Kill em All. Or the bass parts to songs i've written.

There, I tossed up my entry. It's a little sloppy, but thats cause I haven't had to play it for almost a year now. It's the very last tune I wrote with my old band, just a quicky. Thought I'd dig this out of the back closet for the first round, play the wild card if you know what I mean :)

I wish I could listen to everyone's entries. ****ing computer lol.

When we get to round two, will there be a new EWWWBBBEEEERRR BASS WAARRRZ thread or will it be revised for the second round?

I say just revise it, and at the bottom of the post have like "The previous round entries" type thing

And also, when we get down to less people, and if everyone agrees, i think we should shorten the time for entry submission. A full week is a little much. Unless time becomes a problem for someone.

Mofaux, Yeah I think it would be better to cut the time limit on entries later, just to quicken the pace.

NS- I'm playing a stock gsr100ex Ibanez. First bass I ever bought, has been faithful to me all these years. I've got some nice slinky strings on that I picked up about a week ago. Playing out of a Yorkville 200 with a higher focus on the low mid than high. Gets a nice deep tone with the high end still coming off crisp if I need it....maybe in the next round? *dun dun dunnn*

And I just realised how gh3y my voice sounds when recorded, it sounds nothing like me haha.
