The normal Learners GOS rules apply plus a few.
Rules:
1. Players must Rock and Roll kung fu! (have fun )
2. Players can only be signed up to 1 game at a time
3. Players who do not set, will be removed from the game
. A) Baring no serious illness, or another explanation that warrants inactivity
. B) Player MUST let host know immediately of that they will not be able to set
4. At any time, a Skaterscafe staff member can be called in to make a ''FINAL'' ruling on a trick to prevent arguments
. A) Staff member's ruling is not negotiable
5. Once sign up's are complete, no changes to the game are allowed
6. There is minimum requirment of 100 posts to play in this Game's of SKATE.
. A) Members also must have a positive reputation....it doesn't matter if you only have 1, anybody in ''Red'' will not be allowed to play



This is Learner's Game of SKATE. It is for new players that have not played on this site before AND for skaters that are new to the sport. If this is your first game, this does not make it mandatory you play in LGOS, you can play the level you feel that you can play well in (and have fun).
This game is for the beginners that have not established their kickflips consistantly, shove-its, etc...No tricks are to be set that are difficult in any right, its more or less a session of guys learning the rules, and helping to push each other to get better.
It may very well come to a point in this game, that all set tricks have been gone thru, run out of ''easier'' tricks. At this point the game can move onto a ''harder'' difficulty, like the Beginner Game of SKATE, or can be ended early.
This game will count toward a reward, but, in the event the game ends in a draw with 2 or all 10 players, all will be rewarded.
The rules:

0. Games of S.K.A.T.E. are played like a game of ''horse'' in shooting a basketball with a friend. One person sets, and the rest have to match it. If a player fails to match the trick, they will get a letter, UP TO the point where they have ''SKATE''. At that point the member is out, and is removed from the game.
1. Players have 5 days to set
2. Players have 6 days to match
3. Flat ground only, no obstacles or curbs etc.
4. Heel touch and toe touch allowed, but not so much that you can't keep rolling with it.
5. You must be rolling on your trick, doesn't matter how fast/slow, tick tacking in and out of tricks is allowed, but not if it is to allow you to start moving from a still point.
6. No manuals, or reverts
7. Tricks can not be landed in tail stop or nose stall if needed
8. Tricks that can be set in the first round are:
Ollies
180's
Shove-its
Body Varials
Boneless tricks of a fair degree of difficulty and simple No-Comply
...and simple variations thereof.
9. Tricks that may not be set:
Varial Flips
360Flips
Varial Heels
Double kickflips
etc etc, you get the idea
10.YOU MUST BE ABLE TO GET WITH YOUR PARTNER ATLEAST ONCE A WEEK.
11.You AND your partner must be Learners.
12.You and your partner must both be in the sets/matches.
13.Your partner CAN be from the cafe. But you have to pick 1 person to post all the matches and sets.
14.If you can't match a trick and your partner can, they can match it for your "team".
15.You both have to match and set tricks, can't be one person doing all the tricks.
16.Must be patient. This game will take longer than most GOS.
17.You may get an extension for a legit reason.
18.There will still be 10 spots even though it will take longer.
19.When you sign up, say if your partner does, or does not, have an account on here. If he does tell me your name, and who's gonna be posting the sets/matches.
20. If theres more rules, I'll have a mod edit them in

It's not that hard, you can use people from the cafe! Fellow nerd and nerdlets.

since its gonna be a learners you will have to wait till the second round to set 180 flips and switch but simple nollie tricks are ok

In the second or third round they are. But you don't have enough posts to join. You need minimum of 100. So keep posting helpful posts, and you might be able to join if theres room.

One reason I would like you to live by each other is so that only one of you will post matches and sets. Cause if both of you do, it will get a little confusing, and if no body else signs up in a day or two i might make it where they can be from the cafe.

Cause he lives in Pudong, I live in Puxi (one hour drive), i get to see him every 7 days or so.

match every 7 days (unlikely option)
try and go after school, but they ban that, so we have to do it secretly (a bit more likely...)
pile up all the sets, go to a nice quiet skatepark and do the matches and sets. So it'll be a overpile of matches and sets in our trick thread.

Here's my problem...
We were either goin to do a heelflip, or a kickflip, more leaning towards the heelflip. We decided that he was going to try his best to land a heelflip (he said he can do them, just no consistantly) and if he wasnt able to land the heelflip, we were goin to do the kickflip. Now, he's not responding to me so i dont know which one to post, my kickflip, or my heelflip.

thats a pretty hard thing to fix, if u watch my set, my front foot lands on the board much before my backfoot, u just have to find ur own way to do it

Come on guys, smarten up. This is learners, but it doesnt mean you cant just not roll away from landing a trick and get away with it.

DJ Hankey, what do u want us setting??? an fs shuv is a basic trick, and a small spin is a pretty basic variation of a BS shuv, there not hard at all, i didnt kno how to do the small spin at first, i went outside for 2 minutes, learned em, and got one on camera. and the other thing that u said about how everyone is a lot better than a learner, i agree. thats pretty lame that sk8er07 can tre flip, but he's in a learners game.
