View Full Version : Sk8king FS Deck Reviews Nameless 05-13-2008, 02:09 AM Anyone got any reviews about sk8kings jester retros, g-kings (gary holl pro model) or primo slide decks? FightFlyCrow 05-13-2008, 05:46 PM Retro Jester: Its a single kick, which turns a lot of people off (I like single kicks personally). The nose is a bit small for my taste. Its got a wierd tail shape. The concave of the tail is nice, the cut of the nose is nice too. Primo slide: Its really big and odd shapped, not a fan of it at all. Holl: never rode it, so no reviews. But you should check out the other freestyle companies for a shape and size you may like better. Buying a prebuilt complete may be convient, but it probably wont be worth it in the long run. The trucks they use arent that great, neither are the comonants. Nameless 05-14-2008, 10:43 AM Thanks, man... I was thinking of buying a single kick in the future for my next deck... from wherever that may be... But what ya mean by "comonants"?? Comments?? FightFlyCrow 05-14-2008, 10:54 AM I ment componants, bearings, hardware, skids, etc. Nameless 05-14-2008, 11:09 AM Oh, okay... now I get ya... Know anything bout smallschool boards? I mean in general, because after they're custom shaped to your specifications... How sad... off-topic on my own topic =) FightFlyCrow 05-14-2008, 11:18 AM I love Small School. The last few boards I have had were Small Scholl single kicks. Jeremy is great at shaping boards, and I love the concave of his tails. Nameless 05-14-2008, 11:34 AM Continuing on with this digression... what size/shape deck u ride? Cuz I'm thinking the "classic" or "goke" cut with what I call rail wings (a slight dip in the middle of the rail, causing the board to look a little funky, but in theory easier for old-school kickflips, and rail spins of any kind...) would be nice... FightFlyCrow 05-14-2008, 12:12 PM I ride a deck thats 27" long and 7.5" wide. Its got a tail similar to the Butterfield tail(but before that deck came out), and the nose is more round(kind of like the Heartless B**** deck). mainefreestyle 06-15-2008, 11:20 PM Hey dude, I got the Hearless B*tch deck.... And I have the Jester.... I wen't back to the jester because of the control I have with a single kick, the nose is perfect for railfilps and pogos and 50-50s, as is the tail... Its also great for Footwork witch I do A lot of... But I agree with FFC, the tail is odd, But the wood is so good Ive skated the jester for 7 months and its still strong.... But If I where you, I would get the Smallschool single kicks :) Timmy 06-15-2008, 11:50 PM Continuing on with this digression... what size/shape deck u ride? Random question do you have any videos on youtube FightFlyCrow 06-16-2008, 12:16 AM I dont have any videos of me skating(I was told there are some online somewhere, but cannot find them). But Tyler Self can vouch for my existance as a real freestyler(though not that great). |
