Don't kick straight down, kick down and out. Start in a kickflippy type of foot positioning too, so when you pop your ollie and slide your front foot up, the board will have the tendency to start flipping towards the heel side, then you will be able to kick it back with your back foot and it will sort of bounce back, generating the late heelflip.

i usually pop my backfoot in the middle of the board just as the tail curves up. get your ollies to float a little bit so that you can get your ollie up and as your jsut about to your peak. jsut give it a tiny nudge with your back foot. this goes for any late flip; kick, heel, varial, tres or shuvs.
