so i got my heelflips down, obviously cuz i'm trying these..i've never done front shoves before, except when i have to, but never gave it an effort to make it good. today, however, i crashed maybe 1 of them. i just did them naturally, and the funny thing was, they were really high and clean. so i'm doin the varial heels, but i usually land it 90 degrees, or it lands in back of me (worst problem..) when i try jumping back, i seem to forget about the heelflip part :P any advice? maybe just practicing more? thanks a lot

This didnt help.
You have to have a little bit more toe hanging off when doing varials and when you do them you shouldnt have to flick the board hard just a tiny bit and it should flip.
Watch this vid on how to do them.
