ive just started skaten vert and found out hey i need a bigger board and parts for vert any one have any tips on what size parts i should get?

good wood and birdhouse decks are good

get an 8.5" deck
149mm indies
60mm wheels
the rest is whatever you want.
keep your trucks looser.

Good wood is ****, don't even bother with those. Just run whatever you're comfortable on. I ride a 8" enjoi or Real with indys, bones swiss ceramics, and bones 55mm SPFs.

so do I except mine has 169s its hella fun

well, I wanted 169s, but they were sold out, so I got these in stead. but I'm still thinking of getting 169s in the end

I just bought a smaller board as a spare & I'm sure those 149s will fit it nicely

i find u don't particually need a good size board i do all skatboarding street freestyle and vert and i find that my 7.5 is good enough but i love my venture trucks n blueprint wheels

Well... I've got a 7.75" wide board, and 7.5" Destructo's, and size 14 feet, and it fits me just fine. The place where the size really matters to me is more the tech side (I can't even kickflip because I'm not stable with the 45 degree foot position). Most people say wide decks are better, vert specifically, so I'd get around 8, or 9 inches... Lance Mountains Flip deck comes at 9 inches wide, with wheels wells. Put on some Auobahns, Khiro and Bones or whatever you like riding and your set to go!
