this is probably the biggest online game of skate ever played or someting.
it works like this, alex mizurov and friends set tricks, 1 trick per week, everybody can join, last person left, gets € 2.500.
and the one who does the best match per round, wins some stuff as well.
unfortunatley this game already started two weeks ago, so if you still want to join, you already have SK.. sorry that i didn't post this earlier.

i have a lot of mizurovs tricks down, like switch bigheel, nollie double heel, switch tre stuff, but tricks like hard doubles or fakie gheddo bird will kill me..

Haha I've been in it from the start too ! I wish you the best of luck ;) It's cool to see a game in which style counts too, reminds everyone that skateboarding isn't only about practicing dull flip tricks in your garage everyday or something.

The guys at the site are so rad btw, they sent me a package once, with two shirts and a bunch of stickers just because they liked my clips.

at least you had expirience with tricks like that.
i almost cried after about 20 minutes of trying. always landed extremely sketchy or on the wrong side of my deck.
then i realised, i just gotta chill and use both of my feet and late shove it from the TOP of the board. then it was kinda easy.
but still i hate those dudes for setting tricks like that..

Mine was particularly awful, I had originally submitted this one : http://vimeo.com/1189833 but they rejected it because they thought it had too much powerslide (which I can agree with, but I've seen people do far worse in their matches, and they let it slide for them ?). After I was told to do a full one, I went back with ths sketchiest switch big spin you can think of, with hardly any roll away, but no pivot, and they let that one count, while I wouldn't even have counted it myself... Weird.

Well you just answered your own question, I hate Putfile as well now, they completely messed it up, it was cool a few months ago but then they implemented those adds at the end of every video which would cut the last seconds of the video itself, it was awful, and recently they completely changed the whole thing, now the quality sucks, the framerate got murdered and adds pop up during the video itself (which only contributes to slow it down even more), it's a big mess.

what's wrong with just using youtube? its not too bad, is it?

I had to learn them for this game ! And since I submitted two matches that didn't count because they were too flat, I had to practice them over and over, it was frustrating but I liked this round, lots of effort paid off. I think we both have no letters so far, I might get one on the forward flip (even though I learned them, my style on them doesn't seem to match their standards... I just tried to submit another one, I have no clue whether it will be accepted or not). There are 625 players left out of the 915 players in total, but since there's only two days left for the forward flip and only about 80 people have matched it so far, it will probably be narrowed down pretty soon.

haha yeah, their standards are definately very high. just look at every trick's first 2-3 pages, those germans are the definition of style, pop and cleanliness ;)
on some comment page i read that the next trick will be veeery funny. can't wait for it :P i'd love to see a pressure flip variation, they'd all be so mad at the besttrick team.

Yeah Peter from besttrick.com told me that everyone will probably have to learn the next trick from scratch... I can't wait :)

Yeah I was away the whole week and couldn't be bothered learning that stupid trick just to avoid a letter in an online game, not to mention that I couldn't skate for crap today. They lettered me on the forward flip as well, even though I submitted totally acceptable ones on the last day (http://vimeo.com/1253461 especially the ones at the end), it really made me angry and put me off.

I can cab double though, so at least I'll be able to match that.

Guess what, screw them, I submitted a nearly perfect cab double yesterday (only bad thing about it was the speed I was going at, but I still managed to roll away cleanly), it didn't even get approved, and the staff won't even reply to my messages, I'm starting to get paranoid and think that they want me out for some reason. Don't even bother rating this one, it took me days to relearn switch 360 flips and that's the only one I got before my camera battery died on me today. I got a few cleaner ones though, I've practiced it a bit and I think I've understood how to get them consistently. I would love to get them as consistent as my regular 360 flips, but only time will tell us.

If I match it will probably look crappy as hell. I've done them quite a lot before and used to find them really easy (surprisingly enough), but I've done too many nollie big heels in the mean time, and now I have a hard time spinning all the way with the board without doing nollie gazelle heels :s

it's a 360 flip crossfoot expect you have to use your heel to flip the kickflip. i was able to do a 360flip in this retarded foot positioning, but couldn't get the crossfoot, so that's SK for me. how's it going mrck? i think you should be able to pull this one off.. :)

Hahah yes that trick made me laugh as well, I've always liked Philip Schüster a lot, now I love him even more for setting something like that in such a big game of SKATE, looks like the goal of the organizers is to take out as many people as possible from now on.

Apparently they count it when you underflip it (well, one guy underflipped it, I sent a message to the judges about it, they didn't reply but didn't delete the video either, so I guess it's fine... at least it'd better be). I've tried it a few times, I've landed on it a lot of times but never managed to keep my balance... Yet. I'll try it again today for kicks, and essentially because I'm already on SKAT and would want to make it further into the game as well.

MRCK is out, i'm still in with SKA. 'only' 73 skaters left but i absolutely lost the motivation for it.. the latest tricks were too hard for me and i don't want to spend evenings on trying new tricks for pretty much nothing.
the last trick was a nollie fs 360 heel, i can't even nollie fs 180 heel properly anymore so i didn't give it more than 10 tries..
this week's trick is a fakie 540 bigspin double flip. way too hard for me as well since i only landed one 360 dubflip in my life..

i think about 95% of all skateboarders find a fakie shove late varial flip easier than a switch double laserflip.
or a switch 360flip is pretty obviously easier than a cab double flip.

Nah I don't. 360 pressures are piss easy, switch ones were one of my very first tricks which I learned when I couldn't even switch ollie, and I learned reg ones in one day too, you just put your toes in the corner of the tail, scrape, jump, that's it. Shove late varials I learned reg, nollie and fakie on my first day trying them, they only take 360 shoves, you just pop one, kick down in the middle, and hope the late flip goes right. They don't really take any form of skill whatsoever, just good timing. While tricks like switch laser doubles and nollie f/s 360 heels take actual skills, if only to be able to just flip them.

Yeah for real, I no longer even bother counting the switch heelflip variations they set so far in this game. Nollie heel 360 frontside and backside, switch double heel, switch laser double, etc.

The Plan B logo on his cap isn't mirrored, he probably went for a line and they edited out to keep the flatground trick they needed.

because the 540 shove it was just a fancy way of switching his board around so he could do the next trick in his line. that's what it looks like he's doing, or pretending to do

True, just I have never flipped then late flipped a board so I wouldn't know,

yeah it seems like all the members that are still in this game will be in the final.
meaning on sunday (not sure if this sunday), they'll start reveling the first trick at 09:00 then they have 90 minutes per trick to match (land, film, upload..), and they'll do it until only one man's standing.
i think it's lame, but they had to do something to make the game not last forever...

i got kind of a newsletter on every new round about which trick is next, who did it, some infos about this person and the last winner and so on.. and in the last they said that they are going to end KoS with a final on 2th november! and they said that it will be like i said..

i think, that there are not many tricks which srdijan, frei, nikita and herbie won't match.. they are so damn good,.. they managed to match trippleflip crossfoot, switch fs 360 heel and stuff in under 90 minutes! for me it would take weeks to get those tricks down..
