View Full Version : Better for street?
Yes I know that there is already a poll for Highs, Mids, and Lows. But thats just in general.
What shoes are best when street skating? This has nothing to do with looks, comfort, etc. All it has to do with is how good they are for street skating only.
Need helps with this before I go out and buy my SBs today.
The Beard 05-28-2008, 05:02 PM yuck, dont get nike. get some good comfy globes.
I prefer Nikes, they look alot better and Dunks are supposed to be really good.
Fallenskater878 05-28-2008, 05:39 PM yo get some kind of mids like fallen chief mids or something like Emerica Francis...those are pretty sweet

No you can buy the chiefs in mid.
arejayismyname 05-28-2008, 10:14 PM get the dunks, but i dont recommend nikes
I like these (http://www.nike.com/nikeskateboarding/v3/#/shoes/view/13353) dunks. They look comfortable and good colors too :)
AlmostaSkater14 05-28-2008, 11:32 PM if you get the dunks, your just gunna shred through them right away. they have like no protection at all. the only nike shoe that i say is worth the 100 bucks are the tres. they are like impossible to rip. otherwise, most of them are garbage protection wise.
phlap 05-29-2008, 05:20 AM If you're going to buy Nikes, get Zoom Tré's they're near indestructible (apart from the sole) Without a doubt they're the most durable shoe in skating.
They're mid tops BTW.
Vrait 05-29-2008, 11:42 AM Zoom Tres, Tres are Zoom Tres. Nike sbs are the best. And truck size doesn't matter. The size is more around if you skate loose or tight.

My shop sells them for 50% off.
What's the difference between Tres and Zoom Tres? Also how well do they skate compared to dunks?
kr3wdude59 05-31-2008, 12:54 PM Get Nike Sb dunk Mids or Highs
But if you want the ultimate mid, go with Vans Half-Cab.
Casper10 06-03-2008, 10:30 PM What's the difference between Tres and Zoom Tres? Also how well do they skate compared to dunks?
They are the same thing some people just call them tres because its faster to say/type.
ndib0804 06-03-2008, 10:45 PM i like to ride etnies... comfy and durable
PrimoSlide 06-03-2008, 10:53 PM i have no idea
AlmostaSkater14 06-03-2008, 11:10 PM If you're going to buy Nikes, get Zoom Tré's they're near indestructible (apart from the sole) Without a doubt they're the most durable shoe in skating.

klyniss 06-16-2008, 03:36 PM I went through pair after pair of Air Jordans back in the day... now they are worth like $10,000 on ebay lol
cha-BANG 06-16-2008, 04:22 PM idk dude, zoom tre's are near invincible..or so i hear. my friend has had some weird tre's for like 1 year+, perfect condition to this day ^^ they're gonna be my next shoe (plus they have some sick colors)
Yeah I really like the color of these (http://www.nike.com/nikeskateboarding/v3/#/shoes/view/13289) tres. And then add some rasta striped shoelaces, and damn, they are sick as hell.
Planb2276 06-16-2008, 09:12 PM I like highs, I get more pop on them.
CitySk8er 06-29-2008, 01:54 PM personal preference
ancientmariner 06-29-2008, 06:52 PM the best nikes are for sure the blazers. best shoes i've ever had
most of the guys on nike skate in them regularly
Douches.... There is no best shoe. Not for street, not for transition skating... Its personal preference and that varies lots from person to person. Even the wear n' tear varies to each person.
These threads are wastes of time. For the original poster and the people who reply. Maybe you should be looking to see what some others prefer... No equipment is the best.
punkybambi 06-30-2008, 06:58 PM i think the best are the more confortable for each skater
i think the best are the more confortable for each skater
Exactly, but that doesn't mean its going to be the same for each person. Every person I know prefers a different shoe and swears by it.
Actually this can be applied to other things, like boards wheels trucks, bearings...
I prefer
Foundation boards
Fallen shoes
Royal Trucks
and I'm not sure about bearings yet
I use blank wheels and I haven't had many brands yet... Blanks seem to slide the nicest so far.
Swizzle 07-26-2008, 08:19 PM get circa's madd comfy and great grip
I got eS Accel Mids. Loving them.
Ehh, lows, yeah. I'd say that.
Fudopi 07-30-2008, 04:07 PM Highs/Mids for ankle support.
But tre's were going to be my last shoe, but the nike store didn't have any in so I got some team editions.
hokus pokus 08-21-2008, 11:27 AM funny, 90% of the other shoes mentioned are nike rip offs.
but everyone has their opinions
i like mids or highs, but thats me.
all i can tell you is, buy and try different shoes out for yourself
