I just think that there is a simple equation that determines how good of a member any noob will be.

Number of kind intro thread replies + speed of those replies + helpfulness of the members = the type of attitude the new member will take on at the cafe, the higher this number, the more positive and helpful the member be, and the more devoted they will be to the cafe.

The biggest factor I've seen so far appears to be reply time.

If you'll notice, the first reply to this thread was by me, and it was over a half an hour after she posted it, which causes the cafe to appear rather dead, and you'll also notice she hasn't been online since.

You'll notice that SirCheeseburger got 29 replies to his intro thread, the first of which was within two minutes after posting it, you'll also notice that he had a question that has been asked millions of times, and it was responded to in a very kind, helpful manner. This directly equates to the attitude he has taken towards the cafe, and its members, and also to how devoted he is to the cafe.
He has made 39 good, helpful posts since yesterday.

Notice the equation.
