I just got a Krooked in November and its way to wide for my liking. i was wondering what size is the "normal" size for a board?
i am thinking about getting this deck

i tried looking everywhere for a Stanton deck when he was on REAL but no luck :(

There is no "normal size" There are many diffrent sizes to suit every skaters needs. Your Most likely on an 8.0 A good middle i think is a 7.5, I personally skate a 7.75. You have to look around and find a width you like. Most of skating is personal prefrace to what you like more. Nobody can tell you what one is better for you because there not you. Next time you go to buy a borad buy a smaller width like a 7.5 and if it's too small go for a 7.75 and so on and so forth.

I have a 7.625 and my friend has a 7.5 and his brother has a 7.75 i think. I i like mine the best.
I don't like it too skinny or too wide..

Im gonna go measure my old board to see what size it is. hopefuly that will help me.
EDIT: my Krooked is 7.70 so i need a 7.5 since my Krooked is to big.

I have tried a few different sizes - 7.5, 7.625 and 7.75. I have size US 7 feet so a skinnier board feels better to me so I always skate 7.5's now. Since your Krooked is 7.7 and too wide then yeah, try a 7.5

there really isnt a "normal size".
its just what your comfortable with.
Im skating a 7.5 and its way to small.
I probably need to go somewhere between the 7.75-8 range.
I have size 13 feet, though.

since november/december ive been skating a 7.6 and 7.56, but i skated my friend's krooked deck which is 8 inches wide and i was landed most of the tricks i normally were inconsistent with first try. you just have to experiment, skate on different sized boards and see what works best for you. you may be able to tre on a 7.5 or an 8.5 but if you're not comfortable on a 8.5 and you are comfortable on a 7.5, then skate 7.5's. don't let little stuff like board size impair your skating and enjoyment.
