Ok, so, I am kinda thinking of getting one of these platforms. I'm not a huge platform gamer anymore... Though I used to be... But I think there are definitely some games worth getting now. Assuming the prices are in American dollars, a PS3 for only $279.99 is pretty awesome deal. But I'm still undecided on which one to get... Xbox Live seems pretty fun for many games, yet the PS3 has Bluray capability and whatnot...

Ok you all talked me up, time to say screw Ibanez and turn into Mr. Playstation 3 on you.

I would go with the Playstation 3 for many reasons first of all free online. Sure the 360 has Live for $50 a year which isn't bad but its a year which means that if you pay for it you better use it. Since I have a ps3 I know that I can play online when I want to too or if I don't want too cause lets face it no matter what game you have online can be boring after you burn out on it. I have a 360 and I had a 48 hour Live for free from a game I bought.....theres not a big earth shattering difference to me, sure you can message people in game but for $50 a year to me its not worth it.

Playstation 3 has bluray, and since bluray killed out the HD-DVD which the 360. But the upside of bluray is more space and since Rockstar has been pressing the 360 to find a higher disc storage that could mean lots of content thats only on the PS3 (like with UT3. Been out about a year on the PS3 and has yet to come out with a lot less game play on the 360). But a lot of games they had to remove content from to fit on the 360 such as Assassin's Creed and GTA 4 filled up the HD-DVD so if theres another GTA game chances are it could be only on PS3 (as so did I mention that the PS3 could have exculsive downloadable content. Its a rumor I heard on the internet).

Playstation 3 has 100% BC. The 20 GB, 60 GB, and 80 GB has a 100% BC rate on past PS2 games (20 and 60 100% with PS1 games as well). The 80 with a emulator chip and the 20 and 60 with a emotion chip (and the reason why they stopped making the 20 and 60 that chip cost Sony to much to install so they got rid of the chip in order to be able to drop the price).

The 60 and 80 have wi-fi built in, so you don't really need a $100 Linksys router to get online as long as you know the WEP password to play online. I would still buy a Linksys Wireless-G Broadband router with speed booster (I have one and it works great, and Im using it as we speak). The 360 doesn't have wi-fi in it so you have to have a router to get online with the 360 and the internet with your computer at the same time.

PS3 has the best line up of 08 and 09 already, big name titles of 08 that are only on the PS3 are: Metal Gear Solid 4, Metal Gear Solid Online, Socom 5, The Getaway 3, Resistance 2 (with 60 player online), and Heavy Rain (that doesn't include FF XIII or FF Versus XIII if they don't come out in 09 which they may) and in 09 God of War 3 comes out in March (FF XIII and Versus XIII could also come out in 09). All the 360 has this year is Ninja Gaiden 2, Gears of War 2, Fable 2, and Halo Wars, really nothing but multi platforms for them minus those name brand ones while the PS3 has around 47-50 coming out in 08.

PS3 is the only console thats in true high def, I heard that the 360 their not really in HD the system upscales them into HD, but don't worry I don't have a hd-tv and the graphics are the same jaw dropping visuals (I always tweak my tv colors which helps until the day I buy or lease a hd-tv).

Web broswer you can really surf the web on the PS3 thanks to the web broswer in it, similar to the one on the PSP but if you don't want to take forever you can buy bluray devices such as a remote (already owned), a head set (still using my Socom one from the PS2 but it works and is cheaper), the Playstation Eye which is like the Eye Toy which Im going to get since I can get it cheap if I buy the eye of judgment) and on top of the playstation eye you can have chats with it like video chat with PSN friends. The next device I buy for my PS3 is going to be a blutooth wireless keyboard.

Exclusives MEAN exclusives! If your thinking of buying a 360 its not really worth it cause most of the games you can get on PC such as Bioshock (coming to the PS3 Q4 of 08 as confirmed by Take 2 Boston), Halo, Gears of War, Too Human, etc. You won't be able to find Metal Gear Solid 4 on the PC or anywhere but on the PS3 which means I can buy a $300+ system plus a $60 game to play or I can just spend about $50-60 on a game and play it on my computer and I think theres online on the PC games that may be able to play people on the 360, I know the game shadow run does that already.

Time to wrap it up
If you love nothing but shooters then get the 360 cause thats all they really have, and people are dumb enough to buy them (this is my "every-shooter-is-the-same-****-just-differnt-maps-and-aliens-or-nazis-come-running-in-shooting-at-you" plot) Where as the PS3 they have some shooters but they branch off more into RPGs, action/adventure, and every other types of games which is the real reason why I like my PS3 over my 360. Plus the 360 is really selling in America but its not selling too hot in Japan or in Euro where the PS3 is really being moved (last time I checked the PS3 was being sold 7 to 1 against the 360 in Japan, even the PS2 is killing the 360 there!)

If you get a PS3 Im sure you'll love it, if you get a 360 you might love it but to me all the games run together, a lot of my games on the 360 Ive never even loaded cause Im already burned out on it while my PS3 hardly ever gets a rest, its always playing a PS2 or a PS3 game, and the interface is better to me on the PS3 cause when you change the background only the icons show up and the image isn't tinted by the ugly colors in the 360's menu.

I vote PS3 no brainer.

I didn't even mention the error rate for the 360 is as high as 33%, many of the cafe members with a 360 have had to send it in to get repaired from the red ring of death and even then they had to send it in a 2nd time, where as the PS3 has hardware fail of less then 1% along with the wii. So thats another factor, spend more times gaming or more times waiting!

I think Sony knows me cause I got the PS1, PS2, and the PS3 all on their release dates for the US and not a single one gave me a single problem minus my PS2, the disc tray got bent cause my uncle stepped on it but thats not on Sony, but I fixed it myself and it worked like new. With a 360 they say don't move the system with a disc in it cause its prone to get broken or scratched all too hell.

hes not lieng i ahve a ps3 and a box 360 to and about 3 months after i bought it i get three red lights but i ended up fixing mine with the penney trick yep 9 penneys fixed my xbox lol

And yea that does seem like a very good deal... I'll start saving my tip money for one now I guess... I just got promoted and I should be making around $60 a night in tips at least... And that's on a crappy night (My trainer last night made over $110).

Damn I think Im working at the wrong place, in a day I make about $80 thats all but I work only 4 days a week so less time looking at my ugly boss and more times playing games. When you get a PS3 you'll become a hardcore gamer again, it got me more into games then ever.

Yep online is great a few good starting games would be Heavenly Sword, Obivion Game of the Year Ed, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, and Ninja Gaiden Sigma to go along with MGS 4, I would also say rent Haze but if your like me you'll end up buying it but some people hated it and IGN game it the worse score Ive ever seen but its far better then those crackheads say.

GTA IV Is alright. Personally i like COD4 better than GTA. To me it's just like all the others and the online play is the same as story mode except it takes a lot more to kill someone.

GTA was a let down in my book, I still like San Anderas more but thats just me, its not as fun as past ones. But I think Medal of Honor kills COD which is nothing but the same thing slow and everything where as Airborne you start to fight where you land and it never slows down!

Ok scrap the best RPG ever untill FF XIII and Versus XIII comes out then. Maybe in its place Heavenly Sword, if you like God of War your bound to like this game though its short.
