View Full Version : grip tape shoes
Rohanjamtart 05-31-2008, 05:33 AM i was just wondering.
if i covered my shoes with grip tape and covered my board with some rubber. would i still be able to do the same tricks i can do now.
has anyone tried it or know about it
Labrie 05-31-2008, 06:11 AM Strange..
Why should you do that?
Not sure where you want to go with this thread.
Yeah, you would probably manage the same tricks, but
it's best the normal way. ;)
Rohanjamtart 05-31-2008, 06:15 AM i was just wondering coz i thought it would be fun to try
FS Jordan BS 05-31-2008, 06:34 AM yeah. how would you cover your board in rubber though? it would be pretty cool...
Rohanjamtart 05-31-2008, 06:36 AM lol just melt my old shoes or get rubber sheets and stick em on
Fracture-Deck 05-31-2008, 07:54 AM It would probaly burn and go all black and stink bad.
erase_the_doubt 05-31-2008, 10:15 AM It would definitely be odd, but hey if you have enough time to think about stuff like this why don't you have time to try it out?
RIP_BOB_GNARLY 05-31-2008, 10:22 AM Actually, I thought about this before. I tried to staple sand paper the toe of my shoes and I taped a peice of trampole to my board.
KrispyKicks 05-31-2008, 10:35 AM Why dont you do it and find out. If stuff goes sour then whos cares but if it works you might be rich. You could revolutionize skateboarding. You could go down in history as the coolest nigga ever! or It would probaly burn and go all black and stink bad.
swordman540 05-31-2008, 10:52 AM Just change both the materials, and you'llhave to change your boards grip as much as changing your shoes right now.
Griptape shoes, leather "griptape".
Why not just stick with what we have now? so much simpler.
big big big 05-31-2008, 10:54 AM covering your shoes in griptape would be the tricky part.
wait, this idea is rediculouse.
if it were better like that, wouldnt they make skateboards with rubber on them, and skate shoes with grip tape on them?.
Jay Santos 05-31-2008, 10:55 AM Listen to swordsman
skatebaker22 06-01-2008, 12:02 AM no because usually the grip is solid on the board and has the sticky side to it, but now its get the grip side. its kind of a weird idea. yet it is interesting.
Preston951 06-01-2008, 12:04 AM it'd be funny to see!
i dont think you'd have to put rubber on your board though, the regular wood could probably work ok? try it and videotape it haha
Rohanjamtart 06-01-2008, 04:11 AM lol yeh ill try it
