i bet it takes place in the same city (san vanelona) but spots are alot harder to skate

I still haven't played the first one... But I'm gettin a PS3 on June 12th when the new combo comes out, so I'll play it then... This looks sweet though!

hopefully they have fixed the frame rate issues and online lag. Skate is the only game ive played on psn that lags so bad you cant tell what they other people are doing.

Yea in the second one it sounds like there talking about 'you'. The skater you made. That little creepy guy who said, something along the lines of 'Don't worry... He'll be back' was your ex-filmer. It talks about what happened to San Vanelona. The place that Skate was set it. I'm guessing your character moved on to a new city when the skatestoppers started coming in? Sounds like its going to be abit of an Anarchy game. Maybe you'll be coming back trying to help the skate scene get back to how it was...

Sounds pretty cool. I just hope you can get off your board, it would be cool if they changed the tricks too. Or added something about having to catch the board so that you can actually fail when your doing the trick. Maybe made it alot harder to pop the tricks massive. In the last game it was pretty easy once you got used to it. Maybe able to change sponsors? Ohh! They need a new way to film. Maybe you can setup the filmer somewhere, or have him do a follow run a certain way. But independent from you. I dislike the angles that come with the replays alot of the time. I remember one particular challenge where they placed a filmer and you had to hit up this high hubba. Amazing angle. It looked so cool, that made me want to be able to set up a filmer so bad...

I have a worry about EA skate 2:

The first game is great and one of the great things is how the challenges get progressively harder as you learn more and can do more complex tricks more easily.

I was bored and restarted it and within about 40 minutes i had completed what took me about a week when i first got the game.

So my worry is that for people who have mastered skate 1, ea skate 2 will seem too easy, especially near the beginning.

But anyway, new features, tricks and areas will be great, can't wait.

Man that game is going to be alsome, i hope that the new game you can break your board.

Thats why I'm hoping for some new features that will make it harder... For example, after flipping a big tre bomb over some big 15 set you actually have to actually catch it with your feet before you land it. If your feet caught toe and heel, too low, or two high for you to control you'll bail. That would be pretty sweet. Seeing a character actually bailing from a trick over something big would look amazing. Could add alot of difficulty, esspecially for those quick tech tricks. Hehehe, hopefully it would get rid of some of those button mashers too :P

Lol. You should never believe those... Haha. Alot of the time they are totally made up and have nothing to do with the real deadline, if there is even one out. Best to check the EA Skate site for a approximate figure, but I suppose sometime 09 might be right.

same thing for me. i just hope they make small things different to challenge us in different ways. like other people said before with having to catch the board in the air, i thought that was what was going to be in the first Skate. game. the only problem would be that so many people would complain about it.

Yea, the first skate was a big enough change. And people are still complaining that they don't do a kickflip when they press X -> Hehe :)


But, yea I'm with everyone hoping they will make it more complex.

GTA4 was supposed to come out in the beginning of April... look what happened haha



I think there will be grind stoppers and all kinds of stuff like having the cops called on you, etc. maybe even having to wax stuff down. walking is almost definite! i hope you or somebody else can control the filmer- like co-op mode!!!!!!!!

so much can make skate 2 better than the first, i cant wait!

dude just get a wii. skate is coming out for wii this summer

well its not the same game as the first skate. its skate. this. its a totally different game. and since its gunna be for Wii, its probably gunna look crappy, and obviously it isn't going to have the flickit controls. i think its supposed to use some wii motion board or something like that. not sure though.
