For Graphic Design class this week, our final project will be creation of currency. We make up our own country to make our own currency for. Sketches were due today, I did these in my Global Studies class. I was torn between Skatopia and Skatelantis, but I chose Skatopia.

thats cool. you should have made it pro skaters on the money though. like with the presidents. so you could have like Tony Hawk or something on the 1 dollar bill and stuff. that would be pretty cool.

Haha yeh I was actually going to do that but I couldn't sketch it because I don't remember everyone's face in detail..and the teacher won't let us use internet sources and copy and paste someone's head. We have to make it ourself on Adobe Illustrator.

I notice that on a lot of currency there are natural motifs such as leaves. It might be cool to incorporate and make patterns of leaves from the trees which make skateboards, or maybe rubber plants which create the urethane wheels. Another idea which comes to mind would be to use a schematic overhead view of a skatepark for the layout.

HAha yeh Noj I was actually thinking about that(the leaves etc.), but I discovered something very interesting today when I was experimenting about what to use for this project... it's perfect.. but I don't know how to explain what it is.

=/ would the overhead view be too much for me to do? I only have 3 days left to do it and like 45 minutes each day. My teacher didn't even tell me how many different bills I'm supposed to do. So far, I've only made the border and background necessities.
