ok so when i got my new camera about a year ago the video file changed to quicktime instead of windows so all of my videos are quicktime now. but recently i got into making movies and obviously quicktime doesnt work on windows movie maker. so how do i convert the quicktime videos to windows? if theres anything else i could do tell me.

Use VirtualDubMod:

or FXbear which I think is easier to use:

I normally always use vdubmod for encoding dvd to avi, but I didn't know it could handle quicktime too. time to read up on it again

here this is the easiest way. go to this site, and scroll down a lil and enter the info, it takes like 1min for a 30sec video
